SPELL CHECK OR GRAMMAR IN WORD PAD CHECKING

WORD PAD THERE SPELLING OR GRAMMAR CHECKING?

So, "I had XP and just converted to 7 ' means that you either upgraded Windows XP to Windows 7 system or you bought a new computer with Windows 7 then the answer is, ' Yes, you need to 'install' Microsoft Office Word (what version you have, with the media and product key for) on the computer.»

The upgrade to a Windows XP computer to Windows 7 * is * a clean install.  A way to keep your applications and such intact from Windows XP to Windows 7 is upgraded Windows XP to Windows Vista first and then upgrade to Windows 7.  Generations to jump as it (Vista jump) will result in the loss of demand, at the very least.

Now if you have a new computer with Windows 7 and the old with Windows XP is intact, I suggest you look at this:

... and maybe even consider the ~ 24USD investment move your applications as well.

  • How to prevent the spell checker to automatically change the word I type?

    Hello

    I own a MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.

Processor: Intel Core i5 at 2.8 GHz
    Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

I was struggling with the spelling corrector assuming what I type is wrong and so it changes the word for another while I am always type, the result is that the mess this creates a bad word that will not be corrected because the editor already "fixed" it while "I screwed up".

The fact is that I'm Brazilian, so my first language is Brazilian Portuguese, which uses a series of special characters such as to, a, a, a, e, e, i, o, o, o and c, Furthermore, we seem to have many more words in our vocabulary and verb time if compared to English. The corrector seems to get confused with that too, and some Word's closer to her I am writing.
What seems to be the boss, is that in English, the feature is very useful, but when I type special characters, it assumes that this word should not be even with the input source for Brazilian Portuguese, which makes me wonder why I would fix it for my language if I have not noticed any difference at all. He gets it wrong in 90% of the time and a Word by a word it is delay my work and make me hate my computer.

Please, don't you know any solution for this? Go to system preferences > keyboard > text and UN-checking the "correct spelling automatically" doesn't change anything, even after restarting the computer. It's stressing me out of having to correct this as the corrector mess every 5 minutes!

Any ideas how to get rid of it?

    Thank you!

The input source has nothing to do with spell checking and AutoCorrect.  Dictionary used for this defined under Edition > spelling and grammar > show spelling and grammar (or in the system preferences, keyboard, text, spelling).  For best results, use the dictionary for your language and not "automatic".

  • Word 2007 and spell check problem

I hope that it can be to answer this question because I can't figure it out for the life of me! I have windows vista and word 2007. I noticed that sometimes when I'm using microsoft word checking spelling Auto turns automatically off. It seems to stop just check automatically, and it does not check anything even if I hit "abc" spell check button in the toolbar. When I try this, a dialog box appears and says "text marked with" do not check spelling and grammar "has been ignored.  I can't understand how to reactivate it once it is turned off.  When you open a new blank document spell check will be on, but even by copying and pasting a document that has had its spell checker turned off in a new document does not work. • most of the words in e-mail are wavy red underlined as spell checker went wacky. How can I fix it?

When I want to send an email, even now, about all the words have a red wavy underline. This just started a few weeks ago. Spell checking is also affected. The red lines do not cross to the recipient. Tried re-loading of Firefox. I use Yahoo mail and do not have this problem with IE

I just had the same problem, but checked the operation of the dictionary and indeed, for some reason, only a French dictionary has been installed! Downloaded English (United States) and all seems well. Thanks cor - el!

Tried different web pages to see if it was a feature of a particular Web site, but it happened while I typed this entry in a field on a Mozilla Web site page.

Can you tell what dictionaries were causing this issue?

Only the selected dictionary has an effect.

You can see which dictionary is selected if you right click in a text box and open the submenu language.

Also make sure that [[X] "Check spelling" in the right click menu context has a tick.]

Alternatively, you can try to move on the items 'Check spelling' and the new.

  • Spell checker: is it possible to ignore words in UPPERCASE?

I design technical documents that are filled with unusual characters, units, abbreviations and codes that contain numbers, and the scrambled letters. At the moment I'm just add hundreds of words to the dictionary, but it seems crazy to have to add things like ºC or AC/DC to the dictionary.

I was wondering if InDesign had a similar to the MS Word option "ignore words in UPPERCASE"? This is a very convenient feature and something that I can't find in the dictionary/spelling InDesign preferences menus. Are there? Is there a solution?

    Appreciate any help

    See you soon,.

    Rach

If it is not in the preferences, it is not there. There are no hidden options (or not much, not for spelling, I know).

One solution might be to change the language of all words in capitals... How is it that would help me? Well: the words in the language [No. Language] are not mistakes (and maybe bad side effect is that it is cut - so bothers you, replace [No. language] with your after spell check).

Use GREP, you can search for words all in capital letters, but your GREP expression may need some thinking in the future. In its simplest form

    \b\u+\b

(with nothing in the change field and the change of Format advanced character formats the value: language: [No. language]) that will do exactly what you were asking. Slash reverse-BS are word boundaries and inbetween it seeks any length of characters to uppercase (\u).

GREP may need tinkering since it will find "CO2", for example (of perhaps one in the dictionary).

  • Annoying automatic spell checking!

How to close spell that keeps change correctly the words spelled and hurt so much? Levant alone and let me go back and rest myself spelling. I was more going back to reset the changes than the check spelling automatically mess up time. I would be easier to fix the errors manually. Arrrrgh I don't like not all required automations. We had Mac WordPerfect moulder. When you have finished the keyboard input, I would hit 'spell check', the CPU would highlight and I would fix the errors. I have neuromuscular damage caused by the unfortunate encounter with a truck while Street crossing in the crosswalk. So my keyboard leaves much to be desired.)

Example, I indexed " leave it" in one word, and you can see the results above. Also rest instead of reset.

Go to system preferences/keyboard/text and uncheck automatically correct spelling. Then, depending on the application, go to the Edit menu/spelling and grammar and uncheck automatically here.
