  Do you use the portable computers touchpad?
  If Yes, please check if this would happen using an external mouse.

  I think that touching the touchpad with two fingers at the same time it would cause.
  This is a feature and is called * pinch zoom * and can be disabled in the control panel with a tick in a box!

  AFAIK you could disable the option in the control panel-> mouse->-> settings (or properties) pointing device

  good question. has taken a bit of thought. You have to build with something like this:

  

  straight lines are a set of two widely spaced and some arbitrary distance, then both turned 20 degrees around the Center (copy and transform again until cooked). concentric circles are a small circle in the Middle, the scale of 110% and repeat (copy and processing again).

  Then you have a load of segments. draw a line going down from three segments, then a. Repeat until you get to the Center. use of the bearings commented to make sure that you draw points where the lines intersect.

  Select all of the diagonal lines, then turn again the 20 degrees around the Center. Repeat etc.

  Remove circles when you're done, or leave some for outside and inside borders. remove the straight lines radiating outwards. live paint to fill your zigzags.

  

  This is the basic idea.

  You can try a small circle drawn with dashes round and with a variable width, duplicated, scaling and rotation with the effect of the transformation.

  To complete what Chantal, assuming that the 1 cm is the total width covered by 5 lines:

  (A) if the original form of the spiral should be in the Center (the center one):

  A1 object) > path > Offset path 0,5 cm (5 mm);

  This will give you an a path closed;

  Deselect a2) and with the direct Selection tool ShiftClick, both end of path segments and remove them;

  This will give you a path offset on each side as well as the original;

  A3) object > blend > blend Options set spacing of the steps specified in the step 1.

  A4) select all the paths and the object > blend > make.

  You can object > blend > Expand to have real paths if you wish.

  (B) if the original form of the spiral must be in one of the sides (the exterior or interior):

  B1) object > path > Offset path 1 cm (10 mm);

  This will give you an a path closed;

  Deselect B2) and with the direct Selection tool ShiftClick, both end of path segments and remove them;

  This will give you a path offset on each side;

  B3) remove that unwanted/useless.

  This will leave you with the desired offset path and the original;

  Object of a4) > blend > blend Options set spacing of steps specified with 3 stages;

  A4) select all the paths and the object > blend > make.

  You can object > blend > Expand to have real paths if you wish.

  As I said, you want to map what your film strip will look like. Use a piece of paper or tape to see how it folds. A framework is that you can change the frame numbers and image, but to wrap everything in a smart object.

  Above all, talking to anyone will be print and make the cut to shape. They will tell you the page sizes, you need, which all depends on their shape cutting. Will / should give you dimensions for the tabs, they will also streams to work with what you have on these tabs. They will also tell you how much area unobstructed to the backbone they need.

  Then, it's pretty simple. You simply define the size of the page as needed, with the necessary margins. Your thumb tab positions are partly will depend on the degree of verbiage, you need for them. And you'll probably adjustments as you go. I created master pages for each section with the "tabs" (really just a block of text that has a rotation) positioned correctly. I add the text in them, but you can also use variables if you wish. I'm not in general.

  That's about it on the top of my head. I am sure that I left a little. All dimensions play come the people doing the printing and cutting. Communication with them is all. It is part of what you all for pay.
