Spontaneous font change

Hi all

I run Vista Home Basic and, recently, my "courier new" policy has changed almost unreadable.

Looking at the font properties 'modified = 24 Sept 2014'!

I guess something I downloaded has replaced or modified in this font. (automatic update maybe)

So, any ideas on how do retrieve this policy without having to reinstall Vista?

It is available on MS site somewhere?

Any ideas on what has caused this problem?

My wife (XP) also unreadable "new mail".

I have a complete acronis backup hidden in the drawer. A font file can be recovered?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Uninstall this update KB is the resolution to go right now.  There are a few conversations about it, a good one is here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/ /8640d38d-19bd-46b6-9af0-6213c05107d3windows_vista-windows_update/kb3013455-ms15-010-causes-font-corruption

    Today I found that nothing I do changes in the police. I changed the police before, but now I can't.

  • font changes when it comes to FCPX

    I created a scroll title Motion 5 using different weights and styles of future Next. It looks good in the market, but when I place it in Final Cut, things change.

    future Medium becomes Ultra Light, medium heavy future, some point to the change in size. I opened the title of FCP and corrects only to have other parties to change by the time wherever I place the title has been corrected in Final Cut. Nothing is changed to something that I don't use somewhere in the title.

    When you perform the replacement, I deleted the wrong title on the timeline and replaced by "corrected".

    I use Linotype FontExplorer, but it seems that all fonts are system fonts

    What is going or what I'm doing wrong?

    I think I solved my problem.

    I selected all the text in the title of scrolling and there is support for the future, which is the most frequently used instance of the police in the title. Then I when on a line-by-line by changing some in lourdes, some to the Ultra light, some italic and some usual Medium. I have made adjustments to point sizes as you wish. After a backup, everything seems correct in FCPX.

  • Font change

    I just bought my first Sony Vaio and everything is great EXCEPT my fonts random small to large changes. I know I can ctrl +/-to change it but I certainly do not do it every time?

    I looked everywhere on the internet to try to fix it myself, but I'm not having any luck.

    Thanks for your help in advance!

    The use of ctrl + and ctrl - to change the size varies depending on the application to determine if a default setting can be performed, however what Windows itself is to change the default font size follow these steps:

    Click the Start button, then choose "Control Panel".

    Then click on "display".

    The default font size is usually set to "Smaller - 100%" - this will keep text and other elements to normal size. Try 'Medium - 125% ' or ' larger - 150% ' (this option appears only if your monitor supports a resolution of at least 1200 x 900 pixels).

    Click 'apply '.

    To see the change, click Guest trunk now and then log in again.

    What happens in the world Apple didn't do Pages?  I compose a message where I serve as a red font with italic in a paragraph and eager to return to the black and no italics in the next.  But now, Pages presents a paragraph mark highlighted that I can't erase, cannot be changed, and no matter what I do it will pick up apparently randomly which was before or what follows.  Apple!  This problem!  WORD has never had this problem.  Good grief!

    Of course, you keep us in the dark about what explicit version (menu Pages: pages) that you use and the specific version of the OS X. use the Pages menu: provide comments Pages to connect with the product Pages team. They are certainly not here because this is a community of support to users.

  • Label bewilderment after font change

    Below the error label bug mentioned previously (here).

    Description of bug:

    There is a bug of bewilderment label when you change the font (type / size) or change your default font, which can also occur when converting to a different version of LV on a different pc (with different environment settings). This bug lost labels horizontally, especially when the label is positioned at half way horizontally or even half vertically on either side of a node property or control / icon.

    It could be reasoned that the correct placement of the text after the font used is changed can be very hard to get the right to any programming environment.  At least one of the combinations: label on the right side of an element (property node, etc.), placed at halfway the portrait must be easy to position correctly well.  (horizontally at least)  Since this is where I put (intuitively) many of my labels for nodes of property that I would have this problem.  This bug has been present in BT at least several years.

    Hello

    I would like to reduce the size of my font and use a specific family. But I looked everywhere and everyone uses the same method. So I try, but the only change that occurs is the color, but not the size etc.

    It's what I use atm.

                                                font = fontFamily[choiceField.getSelectedIndex()].getFont
                                                (FontFamily.SCALABLE_FONT,10);
                                                graphics.setFont(font);
                                                super.paint(graphics);}});

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for the reply dude. After 2 hours of research I use it and it works:

    try{
                                                    graphics.setColor(Color.WHITE);
                                                    FontFamily fFam = FontFamily.forName("New Times Roman");
                                                          Font font = fFam.getFont(Font.BOLD, 12);
                                                    setFont(font);
                                                    super.paint(graphics);
    }
                                                catch (Exception e)
    {  System.out.print(e.toString()); }

    Looks like that the police just needs to be defined before you paint. No need to 'Paint' the police.

    Thanks for the reply.

  • Windows 7 fonts changed to windings symbols after update - USEFUL SOLUTION

    Hi guys,.

    This just happened to me, after an update to windows 7 Home premium.
    what you can do, is Windows Explorer actually type the location of your fonts directory: C:\WINDOWS\FONTS or ANY directory to browse your system
    The system really knows what you type and will take you to any directory that you type in the Search Explorer bar. So just type as usual.
    I had already tried recovery mode (F8) and which dates back to 2 former States which have been listed, but that did not help me. Yet the symbols.
    After I rebooted in MODE without FAILURE (F8) and looked in my repertoire of FONTS, I discovered that I had only 3 fonts left on my system as a result of a kind of software change, update windows etc. Luckily, I backed up all my fonts in one archive .rar months earlier and downloaded archive .rar on Google Drive.
    I am now connected to my server dedicated via desktop remotely, download the fonts I have downloaded Google.Drive to the dedicated server.
    You just know the image to some system files and the locations of the system to navigate your system with symbols. Just click on the Start button and look for the picture of the BLUE SCREEN (computer & Windows Explorer)... I hope that it works and is useful for a person, including me!
    Then what I did use remote desktop and a FTP client that I already had on my FTP in my dedicated server system and the directory name of the fonts downloaded into a long name conscientious, so that I would be able to tell what it was by the symbols. I added a bunch of capital L to the name of the directory, which in turn, makes the symbols appear as a square. So ALEX is converted into a bunch of squares.
    Now, once the transfer FTP (download) has done to my system symboled, I intend to select ALL (CTRL + A) fonts in the directory downloaded, copy (CTRL + C) and PASTE (CTRL + V) into my Windows fonts directory.  Wish me good luck.

    I have a backup of 3 124 fonts. If anyone would like a copy of the policies for their care, I downloaded archive .rar for you. In case you don't have any backups or fonts on the left, they will be here:
    WOOOHOOO! Update! I just FTP'ing and re - install my fonts. I'M BACK TO NORMAL. Once windows installed the fonts, the system changed immediately to the appropriate police and symbols have disappeared! LONG LIVE GOOGLE!

    Good luck

  • Cannot change the font - "changing windows color and metrics" partially disabled

    Hello
    All of a sudden my fonts system has changed and I can't change them back.
    That's what I see when I open 'change the metrics and the windows colors'.
    http://ImageShack.us/photo/my-images/198/capturevlx.jpg/
    I can't scroll in this window, and I can't make changes to fonts.
    I have tried rebooting etc.
    Help, please.

    Thank you!

    I thought about it - the fonts were corrupted
    I went in the fonts folder and deleted everything I could (some files were 'in service').
    I found online to a package with the default fonts of Windows7.
    I copied all drag them to the fonts folder, replacing what I could: the problem was fixed immediately!

  • Font change after you have selected text does not work when you have multiple lines

    For readability, I'm usually out of order in the new font Courier. So I select the text I want to change the font and choose a font "Courier New". This works well when there are only a few lines. But when there are a lot of lines, it won't work. I have to do it 3 or 4 times so he can work.

    For some reason, the command below are output has been changed to "Courier New" only once. So I couldn't reproduce the problem now.
