Sport clip and 200 GB SDXC

I have a rather massive music collection, and I don't use the built-in folder feature.

I like SanDisk players because they are of good quality and reasonable price, but I'm tired of the evolution of the 32 GB SDHC cards, whenever I want to listen to a different song.

Cards SDXC high capacity work with the Sport Clip, if formatted with the FAT32 file system? I did some reading on this, and as far as I know, the only thing that could prevent that this work is this class 10 memory cards apparently will not work with SanDisk players, although I've personally never had a problem with them.

And if the same as SDHC, SDXC, just formatted differently... so it should work just fine, right?

I guess that what I ask, then, is if there is a limit of fimware that would keep the navigation system folder to use such a large map, assuming that it was formatted in FAT32.

And is there a reason why a Class 10 card wouldn't work, as I read on other places OTI, or is it just bull? Because one of my 32 GB SDHC is a class 10, and I've never had problems with it.

I know that's not SDXC * officially * supported, but what I'm asking, is, it will still work if used informally?

I know how frustrating not definitive information. a manufacturer can be, and so I hunted around and found a joint map of 64 GB adapters (music files, photos, software, video) that I had around a tablet.  I put it in my Sport, and he played music without any problem files, immediately.  I don't remember the card format, but I guess that the fact that she played, that it is FAT32.

Although there were only a handful of music files on the card, I take this as personal proof that the Sport probably play very well with a card adapters.  I guess that the only question would be, for what the size limitation, if necessary.  (Sorry, I don't have a card 64 GB, 128 GB or 200 GB filled to the max of music files right now to verify this.)  My hunch is, from what I've read others say based on my experiences earlier, that the Sport will manage different adapters cards.

I hope that gives you a level of comfort.

I always recommend getting a Clip + or Clip Zip and loading with Rockbox.    Also, I recommend always buy a card that may be returned (or otherwise used), if necessary.  I read, every now-and-again, some are random map is simply is not compatible with a video player, for some reason any.

  • Sport clip or Sanza Clip +.

I'm considering buying one of these 2 mp3 players. Which one do you recommend. The Sport or Sanza Clip Clip +.

    Thank you

The Clip + has many more important than the Sport Clip features. For example, the Clip + handset internal memory with memory card, so you can have playlists of songs at a time. The Sport Clip has a limit of about 2,000 for memory card song and about 2 000 to the internal memory. On the Sport Clip, a playlist works with the files on the memory card or the internal memory, but not both.

The Clip + limit the song about 8 000 songs. IMO that feature the most important as the Clip + has it is that it supports Rockbox. Rockbox is a free alternative firmware (operating system) for the player who offers a large number. With Rockbox, for example, the limit of the song is probably extremely high, as no one has reported reaching. Some use an SDXC card 64 GB Rockboxed Clip + (formatted to FAT32) microphone. I like the feature of intercommunication in Rockbox, which makes the headset much more like listening to speakers (he mixes the part of the channel opposite in each ear with a slight delay. This effect is adjustable, or can be turned off). Rockbox offers great flexibility for the playlists.

The Clip + does not display an album, while the Sport Clip only. Media Clip + WMA protected files, while the protected files only supported on the Sport Clip are those of the Audible. Put Rockbox on the Clip + risk compromising its ability to play protected files. Rockbox itself does not play protected files, however Rockbox is a dual boot operating system, so a Clip + with Rockbox installed might still be able to play some protected files when it is initialized using the firmware from Sandisk.

The Sport Clip has a screen much larger than the Clip + and the battery life for the Sport Clip is listed as vs. 25 hours to 15 hours, for the Clip + or Clip Zip. The result is that if you want to use Rockbox or protected WMA files, you need the Clip + (or Clip Zip). If you have a large collection of music (more than about 2,000 songs) a Clip + (or Clip Zip) would be much better than the Sport Clip, especially if you put Rockbox on the Clip + or Clip Zip. There is no Rockbox for the Sport of Clip, and it seems that Rockbox can never be available for the Sport Clip.

The limits of the song I mentioned are approximate because what is limited, it is the size of the database table, in order to have a complex file structure, or long file names or long tags may makes the limits quite a bit lower.

I have all you players, the Clip + (Rockboxed), Zip (Rockboxed) Clip and Clip Sport. My favorite of the three is the Clip Rockboxed Zip, because it has all the features of the Clip + Rockboxed and a larger screen, as well as the ability to display album art. The Clip + can not display album art. Because of the larger screen, then the display of the lists, the Clip of Rockboxed Zip more items at the same time as the Clip + Rockboxed displays.

  • Sport clip SDMX24 will not work with rhapsody

I just bought a sport clip not realizing that he just got out last night. It will not work with rhapsody. My compatibility report of the said titles of subscription devices transfer device is not supported with my version of windows. I have windows 8 (6.2)? If she "Docent" work with rhapsody, for me its useless.

I don't think that the new Sport Clip is compatible with Rhapsody. If you use (or want to use) this, you must return it and buy a regular pattern of Clip + or Zip.

  • Maximum capacity supported for card SanDisk® sport Clip

Announcement pls advise what is the maximum capacity supported for the SanDisk® sport video memory card!

    Thank you.

The Sport Clip has a limit of 2,000 songs to memory card database. The separate database for memory internal

has a limit of 2,000 songs. Maps of size greater than 32 GB in FAT32 format can work well in the Sport Clip, or they could be problematic. The problem is that these cards are class 10 or faster and faster than the class 4 cards could cause problems in the Sandisk players. If you want to be sure of not having compatibility problems with a card, then the largest capacity card to be used in the Sport Clip is a Sandisk 32 GB class 4 microSDHC card.

Some other brands of 32 GB cards could cause problems to allow, even if they are class 4 or slower. I suggest you get a Sandisk 32 GB class 4 card microSDHC sealed in a lot of detail from a reliable dealer. They are now cheap.

  • Every time after I load my Sport Clip, it then boots / begins "otherwise".

OK, I finally understood what is happening.  (This is not a "bug"... it's a FEATURE.)

Just another obstacle for the new owners of the "Sport Clip" to get used to.

The GOOD NEWS is that it also helped me to FIND a way to play the album

titles, one after the other (rather than play all my songs in a random order).

Hmm... Let me start this story at the BEGINNING!

OK, I've owned this Sport Clip for 2-3 weeks now.  [I initially had a few early "learning curve"

[questions, I posted a few weeks ago... first week of January.]

Fortunately I was using, during my workouts exercise at the 'Planet Fitness' and everything

seemed fine.  But something seemed missing, that I learned how do.

Namely, he was always RANDOMLY selecting / play all tracks that I have loaded... so at the top left

corner, he would show 1 of 86, 2 86 86, 3, etc. as he advanced from one song to another.

It was AS IF he had said 'Shuffle' (among all known tracks), though even I didn't

never said to do this!  (So, I had NOT really tried to find a way to let him play, for example,

just the songs from a single ALBUM, or songs of the unique ARTIST, etc..

But, then, after a few workouts, the battery had got down in charge and needed a

RELOAD.  So I re - it attached to my laptop and let it charge up.

So then the next practice, when I turned it on (he fed up), instead of remembering what he

always restarted just playing music at random, the provision of the initial screen was totally

different.  No problem, I thought... I just hit a few buttons to return to the 'Music' screen, but

When I arrived, I don't see the now-FAMILIAR image of one of the album COVERS...

No, I saw a "blank" screen saying music upstairs and left tip of arrow and right arrow

(to remind me to use the left and right buttons, but when I pressed one of the people... still nothing!

OK, I thought, abandon this workout and solve this 'mystery' when I return home.

Ah... once I was convinced myelf as music files again, I finally hit more buttons.

and accidentally landed in a NEW menu sub-items, that actually allow me to

Choose INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS or INDIVIDUAL ALBUMS, etc.

Cool! So, now the info displayed in the upper left, makes SENSE!  Now, I saw

1 8, 2-8, 3-8, etc.  Given that I had downloaded only 8 songs for the album selected which

    I have listened now too.

OK, once more... live and learn!

[Hope this helps others who have not been here yet.  ]

[I consider this entire thread... I asked no specific questions... just passing along a clarification.]

  • Sport clip do not order alphabetical new music added

I have used the Sport Clip for a few months now and when you add new music by drag and drop on my albums new PC are in alphabetical order as expected. Now, all of a sudden new albums are added and remain at the bottom of the list instead of in alphabetical order... why would this happen? Clip is connected to the PC and I will review the entry music they are displayed properly classified in alphabetical order, but not on the Clip itself when removed from the PC.

  • Windows 8.1 not see sport clip sandisk mp3 player

How can I get Windows 8.1 to see the Sandisk Clip sports MP3 player?

    Hi James,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

    1. You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?
    2. Do you have an error message when it is not detected? If YES, what is the exact and complete error message that you receive?

I understand that the Sport Clip Sandisk MP3 player is not detected by your computer. The question may arise if the currently loaded USB driver has become unstable or damaged or if your PC requires an update for problems that could conflict with a device USB and Windows. This can also occur if your USB controllers may have become unstable or corrupt. So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Please try the fixit provided below which will help you solve common problems related to hardware and devices.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

If method 1 does not work, try Method 2.

    Method 2:

Remove and reinstall all USB controllers.

    1. Open the device by pressing the Windows key + XManager, click Control Panel, click system and security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. In the list of the categories of equipment, locate and expand Bus USB controllers.
    3. Right-click every device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
    4. Restart the computer and let the USB controllers get reinstalled.
    5. Plug in the removable USB device and test to make sure that the problem is solved.

If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 3:

Updated with the latest firmware Clip Sport. Check out the following link to download and install the latest firmware.

Updating the Sansa Clip Sport / Zip Clip / Clip + / Clip firmware

Check if your computer is able to connect with the media player.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • Sport clip

I try to use the Sport Clip in my 2012 Toyota RAV4, it works when I don't have a memory card, but it won't play music on a map. What I am doing wrong?

    Bob

It works because you use it (Clip Sport) control everything (except volume; you could still use the volume control on the radio).

  • Purchase of Sansa Clip and memory card

I'm about to buy a Sansa Clip. I was planning on getting a 2 GB mp3 and the purchase of a 16 GB memory card.
My question is, will they work together? A 16 GB card will work in a 2 GB drive? And the memory card should be SanDisk or can it be any business?

Your help and your answers would be greatly appreciated!

The Clip doesn't have a slot for card, only the Clip + and Clip Zip. Any size to maximum 32 GB will work. Any brand should work, but there has been reports of some brands does not not with the Zip model. That was supposed to be addressed in an update of the firmware, but to play in the trunk, I'd buy a SanDisk brand.

And you can consider getting a larger capacity of 2 GB player. The extra cost is not much, and this extra room will be useful. Music libraries tend to develop, especially now that you have a cool gadget little listening to load them on.

  • Questions on Clip + and (Clip + vs Fuze) Fuze

    Hello

I'm going to buy a 8 GB Clip + or Fuze 4 GB, and 8 GB microSD. I read a lot of Clip + vs Fuze subjects, a lot of comments, but it won't get me anywhere, I'm still not sure that one would be better for me. You would help me a lot if you answered my questions. Even if it's subforum Clip +, and I assume most of you have Clip + or it's your favorite, please be fair with me on both players.

    (1) who has the better battery life? How it will change over the years? What happens if I listen to mostly FLAC?

    (2) that best understood earplugs?

    (3) do rockboxed Fuze sounds better than rockboxed Clip +? I heard that the rocket gets better EQ.

    (4) a port USB owner fuze. Does this mean I have to buy something more to connect it to the pc?

    (5) I saw the comments from users on both players in the review of the comments. There were many people who were not satisfied with the rocket because "it does not work, will not connect to the pc, I got white screen" etc. etc. when nobody said something like that on Clip +. " Is Fuze very much likely to get in the mess or is it just because more tech newbs like rocket?

    (6) I'm listening to binaural beats. Fuze and Clip + with caps default enough for this task? (the question is probably for those who also listen to binaural beats)

    (7) what (V1, V2) version of both players is better and why? How to know the version of the player before buy you? Can all be rockboxed?

    (8) this wall charger will be ok with rocket or Clip +? http:// www.acme.eu/en/Catalog/chargers_and_rechargeable_batteries/battery_chargers/acme_charger_ak03_for_mp...

    (9) Fuze 4 GB or 8 GB Clip + (both with 8 GB microSD)?

That's all for now. Answering these questions would probably save me many sleepless nights I have when thinking about which player to choose thank you

    PS Sorry for my English

1 fuze has a battery more large and the greater autonomy.

    2. I think they are the same (and you have to provide your own).

    4. the cable comes with the "rocket".

    5. people always have problems with Tech - the same with Clips.

    6. you will probably get a v2 at this stage.  Rockbox is being developed for both versions.  I'm not aware that there is a difference from the point of view user between v1 and v2 - it's intestines that have changed.

    7. Yes.

    8. it depends, as always, your needs.  Wheel scroll, video, screen, battery life: Fuze.  Size, clip, factor of kindness: Clip.

  • Battery clip and 2 GB of storage

It's no big deal I guess and I'm sorry if it has been said before, but I have two minor issues with my new Clip.

When it is plugged into my laptop and I look at properties 'internal memory', he said that the total capacity is 1.8 GB instead of 2.

Also, when I look at the properties of "Sansa Clip 2 GB", he says that the battery is 78% charged even after 3 hours. Let it load for another hour, but it still says 78%.

I wonder if this is normal or if I have a duff one.

Other than that, although I am impressed by it.

1.8 GB sounds just as with hard disks and flash drives and things of CD and DVD are calculated from base 2.   1 KB = 1024 bytes = 1024K to 1 M 1 GB = 1024 MB.     1.8 GB = 1.93 billion bytes.  There is little space used by the Firmware and a database used by the player.

If you format before you add your own songs, you can make and delete Freebee songs that were on the player.  Then reload your own music.

When you check your battery, voltage of the clip (turn off the video, wait a second, turn on the clip) and check.   Go to settings > system information > % of power

If this power is 78%...   Then try to load the video adapter or the ports on the back of your computer.   It is possible that the voltage of your USB port is not sufficient, or an indication of the clip is not properly read the power or battery clips is lower than expected.

All my clips were able to load to 100% (but always check on the clip) not through windows Explorer/properties...

  • Updated my new Clip and all the music is gone

I just updated my 8 GB, to the 2.01.32 clip, and then all of the music has disappeared off the coast of the gripper, but when it has been connected to Rhapsody, Rhapsody said it was all there. Then when I disconnect it, the clip is empty.

So I reformatted and recharge my library.1 hour and 8 minutes remaining.

OK, I got all the music reloaded

  • How can Windows movie maker, I stop the music to a certain clip and not replay

How can Windows movie maker, I stop the music, play a certain clip and not play again?

    1. Add the video file.

    2. on the home tab use Add music to add music to the full clip.

3 move the vertical slider on the film to where you want the music to stop.

    4. on the Edit tab, select Split.

    5. now, using mouse cursor select just the audio running along the top of the video AFTER your split point.

    6. press delete on your keyboard.

You could also do it by reducing the volume of the section of audio after the split to zero.
