Spry form validation Date with default value error

The spry form validation below was created with DW CS6

I created an HTML form and displayed with PHP to a MySQL database.  One of the lines of form is to enter a date.  This line uses a 'out of the box' sprytextfield data validation without changes to its CSS or JS:

HTML

< span id = "sprytextfield1" >

< label for = "servComDate" > Date beginning? < / label >

< input type = "text" name = "servComDate" id = "servComDate" >

< span class = "textfieldRequiredMsg" > a value is required. </span >

< span class = "textfieldInvalidFormatMsg" > Invalid format. </span >

</span >

< script type = "text/javascript" >

var sprytextfield1 = new Spry.Widget.ValidationTextField ("sprytextfield1", "date", {index: "00/00/0000", format: "mm/dd/yyyy"});

< /script >

On request, the form value is captured via PHP and date format is converted to a format of MySQL before entering in the database.

PHP

$servComDate = date ("Y-m-d", strtotime($_POST['servComDate']));

It all works perfectly.

Now, I created another page with a HTML form to change information.  First, PHP takes the field in the database and converts it to MySQL format to the format used in the sprytextfield above, in which it was created.

PHP

$servComDate = strftime ("% m/%d/%Y", strtotime ($row ["servComDate"]));

Then the HTML form is filled with existing value

HTML

< span id = "sprytextfield1" >

< label for = "servComDate" > if the Service is coming soon, do you know when the service will begin offered? < / label >

< input type = "text" name = "servComDate" id = "servComDate" value = "<?" PHP echo $servComDate;? > ">"

< span class = "textfieldRequiredMsg" > a value is required. </span >

< span class = "textfieldInvalidFormatMsg" > Invalid format. </span >

</span >

By filling in the form with existing value appears with the right in the box format, it shows these 'mistakes ':

value is required. Format invalid.

As I said above, I have not changed the CSS or JS that is loaded with the Spry textfield, so I don't get that here.

I'm obviously something wrong with pre-filling a Spry textfield with a default value.

What is the real need have a default value on a Textfield of Date Validation Spry?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure that, in the page change the constructor looks like

var sprytextfield1 = new Spry.Widget.ValidationTextField ("sprytextfield1", "date", {index: "00/00/0000", format: "mm/dd/yyyy"});

The following works fine for me

">

A value is required. Format invalid.

  • How to check the page dirty with default values existing in viewObject?

    Hi all

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.

    I have two pages in my application. I am browsing for page2 page1.

    Before opening page 2 I created new line page 2 notice of object using method 'Create Insert()' with some default values by using the ViewRowImpl class.

    My problem is that I have a button to return to Page 2. If I click the back button, then check the Application module is dirty or not.

    But it always shows AM is dirty due to I'm setting some default values in ViewRowImpl. If I avoid the default values in ViewRowImpl then AM dirty check works fine.

    My Question is how to check the AM (or) dirty Page with default values in the object view?

    My bean Codes:

    Links DCBindingContainer = (DCBindingContainer) BindingContext.getCurrent () .getCurrentBindingsEntry ();

    DataControl dc = bindings.findDataControl("AppModuleDataControl");

    ApplicationModuleImpl am = ((ApplicationModuleImpl) dc.getDataProvider ());

    If (am.getDBTransaction (.isDirty (()))

    {

    return "Page is dirty."

    }

    My Jspx Codes:

    < af:commandLink id = "cl6" text = '2 '.
    shortDesc = "Add Row in Page2"
    actionListener = "#{bindings." Action CreateInsert.execute}' = 'Edit' >

  • Alter the State of Session? -Apex form publishes text with null value

    Recently I discovered a problem with our Apex facility in which all selected as source for a text field value will eventually be displayed as a null value in the database.
    We run APEX version 3.2 in an Oracle 10.2.0.4 database using Oracle HTTP Server from 10 g companion disc.

    At first glance, everything seems to work as expected; I created a simple table called "oracle_sr" with 2 columns, as both not null:

    SQL > desc capacity.oracle_sr
    Name Null? Type
    ORACLE_SR_ID NOT NULL NUMBER
    TIMESTAMP NOT NULL DATE

    In APEX, the form wizard has been used to create a form on this table.
    After execution of the pages and you enter a value for the timestamp field, I can create folders without problem.

    The question arises when I choose a source for the timestamp field value.
    All the source options causes the same error (including a static value) so I'll focus on the SQL query to the source as:

    Select sysdate double;

    This should replace the date system in the area of text timestamp when the page is executed.
    As expected, the value appears in the text box, but when I submit the form to create the folder I get the error:

    ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ('ABILITY'. "" "" ORACLE_SR '. "" TIMESTAMP")

    I have worked with APEX for quite awhile and have successfully used this technique in many applications but just to begin to see this error in recent days. What's particularly odd about this message is by default postings "not null" created by the form wizard sees timestamp class as having a value. Session state information included below reports a value yet the database is to launch the ORA-01400.

    Someone has a similar problem? I have spent a good amount of time to try looking for this problem but can't seem to find any similar messages.

    I have included the release of my test page, debugging from what I see, it seems to be a value associated with the filed timestamp:

    If you have changed the Source Type of an element of database column to something else, so he cannot participate in the automated line choreography Fetch/automatic line processing (DML). You must leave the Type of Source, as it was and change the default value of the element fill when the ARF process retrieves a null value for the column.

  • Tabular form validation - save the correct values

    I use the example of the Dene of validation in the form of table. It detects errors and displays the error messages, but I lose all the values that have been entered correctly. Do I need to use a collection to save? I was looking through older posts and comment, it's that you need only one collection if you want to show the user the values that they entered incorrectly. • Spry form validation

    Given that Adobe no longer supports the Spry framework, what do you recommend that I use to validate a form of box?  Not really that in JavaScript or jQuery.  I use DW CC.

    If you use HTML5 forms, add the necessary attribute to your required fields.  It is pretty well supported by most modern browsers, but there is a variability of x-browser in how works.

    jQuery validation is a good method of form validation client-side little but it is dependent on browser and like Spry was, easily beaten by disabling JavaScript.

    The best and most reliable to validate forms is with code (PHP) server in your form-to-email processing script-side.

  • Remove data with null value

    Hello

    I'm using Oracle 11 g. I have a table with an id of 3, node, the value column. Combination of the column id and node, that must be taken account for deletion on the registers.

    Here, I need to delete lines with the NULL value in the value column. If for a combination of id and node with non-null values, then I need to delete rows with a null value for this combination.

    If the combination of id, node is not null value then this records should not delete.

    Below table, I need to remove the second row, for which is a value not zero VOICE CAL '10' is there, so I need to delete the row with null values. (VOICE, CAL, NULL)

    Network, FL, there is no value is non-null then I should NOT delete this line.

    This table is to have 100 s of this association, we can delete data in a single delete query?

    Or how I can delete rows with nulls for this combination.

    You can do this in a single DELETE statement (it is not a request), using an EXISTS or IN the subquery.  For example:

    REMOVE table_x m

    WHERE the value IS NULL

    AND THERE ARE)

    SELECT 0

    FROM table_x s

    WHERE s.id = m.id

    AND s.node = m.node

    AND s.value IS NOT NULL

    )

    ;

    If you would care to post CREATE TABLE and INSERT instructions for the sample data, and then I could test it.

    This is the expected behavior. Validation of cfform.js is designed to be triggered by the form's onSubmit event. However, there is something that you could use.

    Include a submit button in the form. Open the cfm page in the browser. Use the button submit to check the validation works as required. Here's a simple example to illustrate.

    Look at the source code. You will see the validation script that ColdFusion automatically generated for the form's onSubmit event. Copy the script in your CFM page and call its function in the onClick event.

    The above example becomes now (with the help of an onClick)

    The Javascript line "if (_CF_checkf (f)) window.document.forms [0] .submit () to" ensure that the form is sent only when validation is successful. "

  • date picker default value appears only not in the sql query

    Hello

    I have a page as a table with a query similar to the following:

    Select emp_name, salary of emp_table where (hire_date) trunc = trunc (to_date (:P42_START_DATE))

    where P42_START_DATE is the name of a date picker.

    I put the date picker, "only when the current value in session state is null" and the value of being "select trunc (next_day(sysdate,'MON')-7) from dual;"-essentially the Monday of the current week, the type of source. I updated the date to 5 selector and the sequence of the region 10. Now, when I opened this page, no data gets pulled. I checked the source of the page and the value of the entry date picker is used to "November 17, 2008", but is not somehow reflected in the sql query.

    Data get retrieved if I put manually the date in the date picker, but I would like that it by default on Monday of this week. What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Hello

    >
    "Article 1 of the Expression value is NULL" where is expression 1
    P42_START_DATE
    >

    Yes, that's correct - No. colon is required here as we don't not using the item as a variable binding, just name for the condition. In my tests, I put the calculation for:

    Name of article: P31_HIREDATE (put your P42_START_DATE here instead)
    Type: SQL query
    Point calculation: before header
    Calculation: SELECT TO_CHAR (TRUNC (SYSDATE, 'DAY'), 'DD-MON-RR') FROM DUAL

    My report SQL statement is:

    SELECT EMPNO,
    ENAME,
    HIREDATE
    FROM EMP
    WHERE NVL(HIREDATE, TRUNC(SYSDATE)) < TO_DATE(:P31_HIREDATE,'DD-MON-RR')

    My datepicker object has no special parameters - so:

    Name: P31_HIREDATE
    Display: Date Picker (DD-MON-RR)
    Source: Only when...
    Source type: static...
    The source value or expression: (empty)
    Default: (empty)

    And that's what I did to get: http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=55041:31

    Change the date that you like or click Reset to clear the cache (the calculation will be then reset the date to the current date and refiltrer the report)

    < quote >

    I am not able to understand the emphasis on the part AFTER UPDATE while the column with DEFAULT values addition triggers both BEFORE and AFTER triggers defined on UPDATE.

    According to the documents of 11 g

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B28359_01/server.111/b28286/statements_3001.htm#i2133105

    n.m. (u) r only changes with the NON NULL columns, but focus on AFTER UPDATE is still there. No trigger defined on the fire of the update in this case.

    This insistence is intended? If not, IMO, it should be changed.

    Kind regards

    Hi Sissi. After further discussion, we have added some information about a change in behavior. Here is what says the next version of the doc:

    When you add a column, the initial value of each row in the new column is null.

    * If you specify the DEFAULT clause for a column NOT NULL, then the default value is stored as metadata, but the column itself is not populated with data. However, the following queries that specify the new column are rewritten so that the default value is returned in the result set.

    This optimized behavior differs from earlier versions, when as part of operation ALTER TABLE Oracle database updated every line in the newly created with the default column and then fired defined update triggers on the table. In this release, no trigger is triggered because the default value is stored only in the form of metadata.

    * If you specify the DEFAULT for a nullable column clause, then the default value is added to existing lines under this ALTER TABLE statement, and any update triggers defined on the table are activated. This behavior also means if you change a NOT NULL column with a default value to be nullable.

    Hope that helps to clarify the matter further.

  • default value for date def layout variables

    Hi all

    I need to display from_date and to_date with default values like yesterday and today date in dd-mm-yyyy format.

    is it possible to do without java?

    I tired below:

    (1) registered java. Util.Date in the workflow as DateBean

    (2) variable created in the iterator variable with default values as

    < variable name = "Var2" Type = "java.util.Date" DefaultValue = "#{DateBean}" / > "

    (3) created attribute binding as below:

    < attributeValues IterBinding = 'variables' id = 'This day' >

    < AttrNames >

    < point Value = "Var2" / >

    < / AttrNames >

    < / attributeValues >

    (4) date. MinValue added on fragment like:

    < af:inputDate value = "#{bindings." Label ToDate.inputValue}' = 'to Date '.

    required = "true" shortDesc = "To Date" id = "id1" >

    < af:convertDateTime pattern = "dd-mm-yyyy" / >

    < / af:inputDate >

    He works for today's date, but the format is not as required it gives the date and time

    Also I don't know how to get yesterday's date.

    Please let me know if someone has never tired something like that.

    Thank you

    -Yves

    As far as I KNOW, you can't get yesterdays date without calculation in java.

  • How to set a default value in the Import Wizard delimited for the date?

    Hello community,

    I am currently trying to import some files delimited in a SQL table via the Import Wizard (right-click on a Table "import data... ") with delimited as input (.dsv) files.

    In step 4 of the wizard, I put the columns in the Source files for the target of the columns of the Table.

    Now, this is where my problem. Whenever a target column has the format "date", I define the mask of translation you want for each column.

    I would like to define a mask by default so that the same format is always used.

    User interface, it looks like this field also exists:

    field_greyed_out.png

    However I can't put it in the wizard itself, and I'm not able to find the option in the preferences.

    I tried the following preferences (Oracle SQL Developer 4.0.2):

    Preferences-> database->-> all NLS date 3 preferences set to "HH24:MI:SS DD. MM YYYY ".

    Preferences-> Migration-> translators-> Format of Date Source default value "HH24:MI:SS DD. MM YYYY ".

    Preference-> Migration-> data move Options->

    DataMove.PNG

    But still, I have to type it every time.

    Can someone explain how to set the default value?

    You can not.

    But.

    In the next major release, we seek to:

    • selection of a menu selector common date formats drop-down
    • Save your import settings session and their reloading for later import

    I think you have a good idea, maybe it defaults to MRU. When we start the process of the Beta/early adopter, be sure to check and let us know what you think. For the moment, and what I'm doing, I copy the date format string and paste them in such as required. I'm not a super big fan of having default values in 'automatically' added because it can lead to mistakes, and in this case, data corruption issues.
