SQLite in the resources folder

Hello

I see most of the samples and technical documents provided by RIM use the SD card to create the database.

I am thinging of be the SQLite db inside my application file. Is it possible to have the SQLite file inside the folder of the application's resources and use this file in my application?

This question has actually been asked before, have a search around, you might find more, but in summary, as far as I KNOW, you can get a copy of it in there and write on the front of the SD card to use (as does the demo of SQLite), but impossible to open a database in your application.

  • Firefox 4. What is the difference between addons.sqlite and extensions.sqlite in the profile folder?

I have separate facilities 3.6.15 Firefox and Firefox 4RC2, using their own separate and distinct profile folders.

I already know that, in the profile folder:

    • Firefox 3.6.x has extensions.log, extensions.ini and extensions.rdf files
    • Firefox 4 has replaced extensions.rdf with extensions.sqlite
    • Firefox 4 has apparently no extensions.log
    • Firefox 3.6.x does not have addons.sqlite
    • Firefox 4 is has addons.sqlite

For a better understanding of the present, can someone please clearly, answer the following 3 questions?

    What is

    1. the purpose of addons.sqlite in Firefox 4?
    2. How it / its function differ from the extensions.sqlite in Firefox 4
    3. both are really necessary?

addons.SQLite stores the information that appears in the tab Addons > Extensions - under the button more , as well as the AMO URL for extensions that are not configuration to use this new feature.

Extensions.SQLite stores the data on the installed extensions, by replacing the extensions.cache and extensions.rdf files.

You really not need the addons.sqlite file, but I do not know the ramifications to delete the content of this file and 'locking' so that it is used. Not that it stores a large amount of data; only 320kb with 30 installed extensions.

  • Database in the resources folder

I have a SQLite database with the names of 100 countries and their info from lat - lon.

I want to put this folder resources and read/edit its entries.

Is this possible? If Yes please tell me how?

I know how to create and manage the database on SD card, but want to know how to place the database in the application.

    Help, please...

    you have two options, actually.

Copy the runtime of your db for location of SD card file or copied to the file system internal. The last option is useful only for a limited number of device. Bottom line is that SQLite can work on SDCard or filesystem (in rare cases)

  • The initial launch of DW CC 2014, get following error: "cannot locate the resource file in the Configuration folder. This file is Spectialized to run Dreamweaver. Please reinstall the application. "This app has been updated through CC.

I have to first remove the DW? With the help of PC Win 7.

The error message: "Unable to locate the resource file in the Configuration folder", so it seems that something is missing. Could be a permission problem... I would suggest:

    1. go to a user admin account

Connect using built in Administrator | Create the local admin account. 7, 8, Windows Vista

Install or run Adobe applications in the new user account. Mac OS X

2 remove the application DW CC 2014 by uninstalling or using the cleantool.

Use the CC cleaning tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6

    3. manually delete the directories of config according to KB: (you need to of course search the CC 2014 folder instead of the older versions in the KB)

    Restore preferences | Dreamweaver CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6

This step will ensure that also the configuration file will be regenerated on re installation!

4 reinstall on the new admin account and test again. If works please go back to the old account and test again.

    Good luck!

  • What is the bookmarkbackups folder for?

There a bookmarkbackups folder in profile directory
What is the bookmarkbackups folder for?
    delete the file inside?

Firefox uses the bookmarkbackups folder to store backups of bookmarks, in order not to lose in case of problems with the database places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks.

Firefox continues to run daily backups JSON (bookmarks-#-#-_xxxx.json #) of the bookmarks in the folder bookmarkbackups, one for each day that Firefox has been launched and a maximum of 10.

You can set the maximum type via the browser.bookmarks.max_backups pref on the topic: config page.

The current versions of Firefox indicate the number of bookmarks in a JSON backup as part of the file name: xxxx in bookmarks-#-#-# _xxxx.json, so you can use it to select a backup.

  • Cannot restore the backup folder

I had a problem with my laptop HDD (bad sectors) and I had to format it.
Before formatting it, I saved the profile folder in my external HARD drive.
I tried to restore the profile but it does not work. It only contains the folder "Cache" (12 MB), "mozilla-media-cache" folder (0 KB), folder "OfflineCache" (11KO), folder "startupCache" (1.06 MB), folder "thumbnails" (50 KB), urlclassifier3.sqlite and urlclassifier.pset
    I can't find cookies.sqlite, formhistory.sqlite, etc..
Is it possible to restore all of the folder "cache" or in any other way? My hard drive now low level formatting, in order to restore the old data is impossible.

    Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately, this isn't your profile folder. You saved % LocalAppData%\... but instead, you must have backed up % AppData%\...

Disk cache contains files of web site such as pages, images, and scripts. It is practically useless for the purposes of restoring a backup.

I highly recommend to keep good backups of your data somewhere other than the player in question. Bad sectors are not a good sign and may indicate larger problems to come.

    Hi bobr_589,

A standard procedure for the administration of the system is to reduce the amount of storage space used (typically a hard disk) by deleting temporary files.

That the file is in temp you can remove it because it is not a update file.

In addition to this review, if Windows update is working or not.

A Microsoft security in safe mode with networking scanner to make sure that the computer is completely virus-free
    Step 1:
To start the computer in safe mode

    Step 2:

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

See the following steps to delete the content in the Temp folder.
    1. click on Start. Click run. In the dialog box that appears, type temp , and then click OK.
    2. open the Temp folder. You can delete everything in the Temp folder, including subfolders. Click Edit | Select all, and then press DELETE on your keyboard.
    3. you can also try to delete other user accounts Temp files by performing the next step.

Run on the supercomputer network configuration wizard.  If this doesn't fix the problem:

    1. download and install the Tools of the Windows 2003 Server Resource Kit .

    2. click on Start > all programs > Windows Resource Kit Tools > Shell .

  • Shimgvw.dll file in the sys32 folder can be boggus

Shimgvw.dll file in the sys32 folder can be boggus, no propertys tab, how to save file from another folder that has the legitimate Properties tab?

Update security for Windows XP (KB2483185)
    Last published: 08/02/2011
A security issue has been identified that could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to compromise your system and take control. You can protect your system by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this update, you may have to restart your system.

This update downloads ok but fails to install, so I did a manual download and install, but when asked for the location of shimgvw.dll during installation and I point to the file in the sys32 folder the update fails, it seems, there are 3 versions of this file, but the System 32 folder isn 't legitimate because it does not appear info version or company. "

    What can I do?

Q1: When you say Properties tab are actually referring to the Version tab, i.e. right click on the file, select Properties and no Version and summary tabs not only general tab?

Q2: Did you check C:\Windows\System32|dllcache for shimgvw.dll? Should be the same version 6.0.2900.6072-429 KB Windows Picture and Fax Viewer-Application Extension

. If folder dllcache a Version tab displays the above version number and Microsoft Corporation as the owner, then could cut and move of the System32 folder then vouscopiezetcollezle the dllcache to the System32 folder and try regsvr32 shimgvw.dll in the run > open: box. If registration is successful, try to manually update again.

There is always the posibilty of the malware infection. Have you MSE working properly?

Visit the Microsoft Solution Center and antivirus security for resources and tools to keep your PC safe and healthy. If you have problems with the installation of the update itself, visit the Microsoft Update Support for resources and tools to keep your PC updated with the latest updates.

    I hope this helps.

  • Had to install XP Pro in one folder other than the Windows folder. Can I delete the new folder without causing problems?

I was cleaning some ad/bad/spyware on the computer of a friend. It runs XP Media Center 2005. When I restarted it, it wanted a password. He put never, ever. The only work around was to reinstall XP without deleting any of his files (more than 8000 music files) because it is not anything save. I put the new XP in a different folder, I named. After searching around, all of his stuff is there and I can access, but this new folder is take a LOT of resources/mem. There is almost nothing in this record, I can delete the new folder without compromising each other, installation? I think I would need to get rid of mode safe mode with command prompt. I did it so many times, but it's never happened to me. Help!

Once you get the drive installed, simply use xcopy or Robocopy to copy the files, with a fairly large music 8000 drop these command-line utility will be faster than to try to copy them through the Windows Explorer GUI.  Xcopy is integrated with Windows XP, Robocopy is available for download from Microsoft.

  • BB10 Webworks - jpg sending the www folder

I am trying to send a picture using following code, and it fails. The only thing that I'm not sure is part of the URI. I am I was right the use of blackberry.io.home to access www folder in my webworks app?

The sent jpg is located in the www/img folder

    Here's the code.

    function sendCardFB() {}

    BlackBerry.Invoke.Invoke ({}
    target: "Facebook."
    Action: "bb.action.SHARE."
    type: "image/jpeg"
    URI: "file://"+blackberry.io.home+"/img/wp"+theid+".jpg".
    (}, onSuccess, onError);
    }

The code simply calls onError in this case.

    Instead of:
    'file://"+blackberry.io.home+"/img/wp"+theid+".jpg '.

    This gives a shot:
    'local:///img/wp"+theid+".jpg '.

This should give you access to the resources packaged with your BAR file.
