SSO installed with reverse lookup failure

We are preparing for the upgrading of our existing environment vSphere 5.0 to 5.1 vSphere.  I have tried a simulacrum of SSO Server installation and have also run the pre-installation of SSO control script and we discovered a problem in our environment.  To explain the problem I need to provide some documentation on configuring DNS in our environment.

There are two DNS solutions in our environment, Corporate DNS (UNIX) and DDNS (Dynamic DNS - Active Directory).  DDNS was deployed with the introduction of the ma, before all systems use DNS Corporate.  When introducing DDNS DNS services have not been migrated, rather DDNS is used only by the AD and Windows Client/Server environment. In addition, DDNS is not configured for reverse DNS resolution, all these applications are forwarded to the Corporate DNS.

As you may or may know is not one of the conditions for the deployment of SSO to have a reverse lookup DNS configured and for each DC and the UNIQUE server authentication has a properly configured PTR record (http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2033880).  Since we don't use DDNS for reverse resolution PTR records are nonexistent.  Therefore, installing SSO up warning about the failure reverse DNS and the pre-installation script displays warnings re 'IP address name Check' SSO for the SSO Server and each domain controller in the domain.

We are wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem? and if so what they did to solved the problem

You can find UNIQUE authentication Setup performs a lookup on each interface on the server and therefore launch a mistake say an interface "backup" that don't have not may not reverse DNS entries.

If you are able to provide a manual reverse lookup on the IP address that you have on the same subnet for vCenter, you should be able to continue without a problem.

    However, in my attempts to install FCS2 in El Capitan, it fails in the last 5% to install the first DVD:

    First of all, I need advice on how to display an extremely large Setup log in this thread (on MacRumors, it is a method to insert a 'code' in a small box that can be the object of a scrollbar if necessary to read all along).  I am unable to find such a method to post here.

    Then once approved, I need help to determine which component is causing the installation to fail and perhaps this element can be omitted from the installation:

    If this element is not required, then maybe FCP6 can be installed successfully without it.  And if that omitted element is necessary, perhaps a manual method to install it can be determined by pacifists.

  • KB963671 update continually fails to install with error 80070652

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop under Microsoft Vista Home Premium (32 bit).  My Windows Update is configured to be installed automatically, but there is an article that fails to install every day.  The update by using the Microsoft Script Editor (KB963671) fails to install with error 80070652 code.  I read this error code indicates failure prerequisite installation/update, but I don't remember that ever happening.  When I run Office Diagnostics, everything comes out very well.  I searched the Microsoft discussion groups and communities, but have not been able to discover a solution.  Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.  Thanking you in advance for your help.

    Looks like you are having network connectivity problems or if you connect to a network with problems.

    First of all, make sure that your computer is connected to a network with internet access with success, by checking the cable network (ethernet) - is - it connected correctly? If you do not use a network cable, make sure that your wireless connection is connected to the appropriate network.

    If you're still having problems after checking the physical connection, try to run Windows Network Diagnostics. Make a right click on the network of small size or icon wireless near the clock (bottom right of the screen by default), and then click "solve problems". This wizard will search for and attempt to correct any network, connectivity issues.

    Yes. Please check that you have backups and disk not resized/re-partitioned, before the upgrade of the El Capitan. In addition, create a Windows system restore point before the upgrade.

    Since the installation of Firefox 20.0.1. on my MS Windows 7 Toshiba Laptop there was a box in the center of my screen titled "progress install < with a bar running below green growth."
    Firefox 20.0.1 (FF) works very well and I can drag the box of progress on my screen to my heart's content. Although there no small cross at the top right I can get rid of him by my mouse over the icon (ff), pinned to taskbar program in hover. This gives me a box of progress of installation with small cross, click and his party. That is until I got close and restart (ff) and back it comes in the middle of the screen. I tried to get rid of it through CTRL-ALT-DEL Task Manager, but even once, it reappears on start up (FF) I also stripped (ff) of my machine, once using widows uninstall/change of MS program features and for the second time by using third-party software as soon as I reinstall (ff) new same old problem.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    Firefox does not come with the Bing toolbar. Another program that you have installed delivered the Bing toolbar and added to Firefox.

    If you can find the Bing toolbar in Add/Remove Programs, uninstall it from there.

    Otherwise search for the toolbar in tools-> Modules-> Extensions in the Firefox menu bar and uninstall or disable.

    It can be named Research Assistant or Search Toolbar 1.04.

    Hi people,

    I just installed El Capitan of Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Everything seemed okay... until I opened the first application, which is a PDF file. I tried to close the new Acrobat 8 pro installed with El Capitan, but it does not close and the screenshot stays on the screen. I tried to reinstall El Capitan again on the app store and when its done, it won't restart my computer, like Acrobat does not close. It will not force me to leave or the other. I pulled the plug on the wall and turned back on to find that the Acrobat is still healing. Any suggestions?

    PS: my mouse now scrolls the contrary somewhere else :/ I have to scroll to the top to make the page down?

    El Capitan does not install Acrobat of any kind. Do you mean that you installed when you installed El Capitan or did you update the version that you had already installed before installing El Capitan?

    Your screenshots are not displayed to me what happens regularly here.

    The scrolling direction has been changed while you push the content around the page, does not move the little thumb in the scroll bar. It shouldn't take more than a few hours to get used to. If this isn't the case, you can enable in the preferences of the mouse or Trackpad.

    I bought a few applications that have been written entirely in LabVIEW that also use data acquisition OR PXI cards.  Before the installation, I installed the drivers of devices OR newer.  I discovered that more than 70 applications installed with the drivers.  Where can I learn what do each of these applications?  I need this information because, in order for me to install device drivers OR on my networked computers, I need to know what my local network vulnerabilities could be introduced with these applications.  If anyone can help?  I enclose a list of executables (*.exe) installed in the C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\ folder only.
