Wireless connected but cannot display Web page
Hi, I have a HPG7094 laptop with Vista 64 bit installed.
I tried for days to fix my problem. My wireless connection has stopped working. It says it is connected to my wireless - excellent - but when I try to open the internet I get the error IE cannot open the Web page. I deleted my network and tried to re-login only to get the same error. I did a clean install on my laptop and downloaded the drivers on the HP site, but it's always the same.
In the lower RH it says 'Unidentified network' (and the name of my network) access: Local only. If I connect the ethernet cable, it works fine and if I connect my mobile dongle orange it works very well.
I have other laptops and desktop computers and all these connect wirelessly without problem. I have tried to 'fix' the wireless connection and not to renew the period of INQUIRY, still no joy. I connected on the router from my office and changed the channel from "auto" to "6" and "11", but this has no effect.
Someone at - it ideas, what could cause this problem, any help would be highly appreciated.
Gail
Hello
After a couple of hours last night looking through this forum, I came across a post by Paul Tikkanen, January 21, with a link to another driver for the Atheros wireless. I downloaded and now my wireless works!
Thank you for all your help and keep up the good work!

Error "Cannot display Web page" when the wireless internet access.
Original title: dubious connection
seriously, my internet connection Wireless plays up.
It works fine on my laptop, but on my desktop it will work well for maybe a few minutes and then all of a sudden that take forever to load pages or just say 'cannot display Web page' and that will be the end of it. Also says that I'm connected to the internet and internet access. I have done all troubleshooting, clean boot, disable the antivirus/firewall, reset tcp/ip stack, network troubleshooting, nothing is. It works for two minutes then boom, slow as a snail and then not working. If I disconnect my wireless network and reconnect it seems working again for a few minutes then slow again. Very frustrating, any advice appreciatedThis has only started happening last week? You have McAfee on your desktop PC?
If so,.
See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee
You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.
I had to run the removal of McAfee Development tool, they mention a few times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction. Due cat of McAfee support reset their files in order to allow the relocation-reactivation. Here is their link cat - McAfee - media contains the link to the cat

I got McAfee, but the connection has started working again on its own so I thought I was clear of problems. However, when I checked it says he was doing routine checks the updates in vain when I told it to do a manually. So stick with McAfee you don't follow their procedure of fix would have upgraded my PC at risk by not updated and, like other McAfee ads have since explained, the application did not refer to its database of threats correctly [and this could explain part of the variability of the symptoms of failure but all involved loss of internet connection]. Actually, I removed McAfee then installed Microsoft Security Essentials rather & my answer IE is faster I knew it [even though I had the Add-ons McAfee disabled for centuries].

Program cannot display web page on start up - replacements all & freeze safe mode
Hi, on my pc startup (Vista) after the initial office, he's going on a blank white page with information i. Message is "the program cannot display Web page". If I try to start the task manager that flashes briefly upward, then the white screen resumes. If I try again, I get a black screen. While the screen is in place I can't do anything else or run programs at startup upward until this screen.
If I boot in safe mode, the top of desktop and icons here, but I can't do anything else - even closed. I have to press the power button until the PC is emerging.
I don't know how to do BACK guests or find how to work around this problem. I tried several searches but all the answers are in line to remove this or that or a scanner. I don't have access to all programs do. Even the answers on this site so far await you to be able to run other programs of some sort. I'll have to write this on PC of the wife. Any help / suggestions gratefully received.
Thank you, Nick
You can use Windows Defender in offline mode, use a PC secure and download and use:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-is-Windows-Defender-offline
And then use removable media or a CD/DVD and create the startup and startup disk in your infected PC and then run a full system scan. You have no need to start your system in this way.

Hi all
This is my first post and I hope someone can advise me.
I have a Satellite C660D-124. running win 7.I have a netgear router on my pc and the laptop is connected to my home network.
I'm hosting wifi using the mac address of the laptop to access control on the router.
I turned it on and off the power, but nothing helped. When I click on the wifi down icon to the right it says that I'm connected to the network.
When I select the network connection, it says excellent signal. When I open google I get a white screen saying loading tool bar, but it never loads.
If I plug in an Ethernet cable, nothing happens.
I run AVG Security, I tried to disable the firewall and nothing happened. So basicially my laptop says I'm connected but... I am not connected. !!

If I understand you right you have the same problem using a LAN and WLAN connectivity. Is this good?
If so, I think that there is a problem with your router. Reboot the router and check all the settings there.
In the worst cases it set to the factory settings and basic stuff just for the Internet without playing with other settings there.
Did you maybe test it connect your laptop to another router?

Computer seems to be connected to the internet but cannot access web pages
It says its connected to the internet and it can download the automatic updates, but when I open internet explore or mozilla or browser accesses a web page.
The problem does not change if it connected to a hard line or wireless.
The computer is a Latitude D620 on windows xp, if that helps.
What happens when you try?
Have you tried resetting IE? (Tools |) Internet Options | Advanced...)

Cannot display web pages on explorer 8 without using the left/right scroll bar.
I rebooted my system yesterday and now when I visit a web page on explore 8, I have to use the left/right scroll bar to view the entire page. Before I rebooted and am went full-screen page would correspond to the size. The graphic and type are larger, and I wouldn't change a thing.
On the command bar, there is a marked entry Page. Until it clicks. (If you do not see this, right click on the toolbar of the tab and then click the command bar to add it to the other toolbars). Now, go to Zoom and the size of the text and set each as required to get the page fit on the screen. For me it works with the format as smaller text and 150% Zoom, but it may be different for you depending on the size of your screen and your graphics hardware. If it's just a problem of zoom (and you don't need to adjust the size of the text), then there is a Zoom control on the right-hand side of the bottom bar State which also allows you to adjust the Zoom level on what meets your needs (and there are a little faster to join then the menu bar).
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

- What you have already tried to solve the problem
Hello
Initially, I have will increase temporarily the computer to a place close to the wireless router to compensate for the weak, and or blocked the signal that could be part of the problem in the new suite spot work.
In the computer itself.
Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.
http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg
If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.
Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.
http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg
To ensure that if there are Wireless Utility the utility a seller is not running with the native Windows wireless utility .
Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.
Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security and try to connect with no. wireless security.
When work turn the security on the wireless and take the computer back to its original location.

Satellite A80-116 is online, but IE cannot display Web pages
Hello
I have problems to go on internet with my satellite A80-116.
I used to go online via a cell phone, which has been slow, but it worked.
I tried to get online wireless via a router and also the State of the connection said that the computer is connected to internet, internet explore do not open, the same thing happened when I tried to connect via LAN.Internet Explorer is opening for a split second then the message came, the page cannot be displayed. Unfortunately, now, it doesn't even work with the cellularphone anymore...
does anyone have any advice for me?
Greetings from the Jamaica,
hotinjaHello
Believe me; It's not easy to give you a precise answer of 100% and the solution.
But I'll try my best ;)From your description of the LAN or WLan card is unable to assign the IP address correctly. You should try to verify the State of the connection. To do this, simply right-click on the network icon in the taskbar. Also, try to repair the connection.
If you use the WiFi network, please make sure that you use the encryption of law and that the MAC address filtering was not established on the Wlan router
If this doesn't help I would recommend refreshing WLan LAN drivers.
Good luck

It won't let me not see these pages. I can view using other web browsers. If I can't fix it, I'll be forced to use another browser and I love mozilla. Help!
Since you are using Kaspersky, could check you if the "Anti-banner" feature blocks which seems to be a promotional link? I think that this feature is configured in the main Kaspersky settings, unless they moved it in their Firefox Add-ons.

I am constantly see (but not always) Internet Explorer can not display the webpage when I open Internet Explorer, and he tries to go to my home page which is Facebook. Then I click on any site in my favorites and it goes straight to him. In fact, after I go to other sites, I just click on the button of my Facebook in my bookmarks bar and it will then open it right to the top! So there is nothing wrong with my internet connection and I know that there is nothing wrong with Facebook.
Hello
· Were there any changes made to the computer until the problem started?
Step 1:
You can remove Facebook from the Favorites bar and the delete browsing history and to add Facebook to your Favorites and check if that helps.
To customize Favorites, follow the link below.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/customize-your-Favorites-bar
To delete the browsing history, follow the link:
