Standard or Pro seeks advice or Council

Our archives are all digital PDF format.  We need to change on occasion, blacking out text, moving pages, etc.  We conduct the norm rather than PRO for these purposes.  I would be interested in other ideas or experiences.

If you delete the text files, then Acrobat Pro is without a doubt one

best choice because it has the integrated writing tool, while Standard

do not (although it is possible to draw using the standard as well, but it)

requires a script).

In addition, if you need to process multiple similarly files you can use

S Pro Action Wizard to do.

  • the adobe reader of adobe purchased but installed standard first pro. now, the 'pro' trial has expired and I can't use the "standard" functions

I bought the adobe reader from adobe but installed standard first pro. now, the 'pro' trial has expired and I can't use the "standard" functions How can I solve this in order to use Adobe Standard - one that I bought?

    Hi Jodie,

There is no standard to pro versions of Adobe Reader.

You have downloaded the Acrobat version which is paid instead of Adobe Reader software.

As the trial has expired, then you won't be able to use it unless you have purchased the product.

However, you can download Adobe Reader for free using this link Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions.

    Kind regards

  • Adobe Standard or Pro?

Hi, I am currently using a monthly subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and I thought to buy Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro. What I really need is to be able to take the scanned documents, combine them, move pages autour sometimes, then set a footer to number the pages. Standard to do it, or do I me Pro? Thank you.

Yes, this should be possible with the Standard version.

  • What version of Acrobat is necessary to separate pages of a PDF in separate documents? Standard or Pro?

You need to be able to split a PDF file into separate files depending on what page. This standard? Or can I Pro?

    Hi asfkmg,

Acrobat Standard and Pro will allow you to cut a PDF in separate documents. Here is a great video that shows you how: https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-to-break-a-pdf-into-parts

  • Acrobat Standard or Pro?

Anyone who is familiar with the main differences between these two versions of Acrobat?

First of all, I want to create PDF files from Word documents with these features:

    (1) retain hypertext links from the Word document (the two links navigation to go to another part of the file as well as external links to go to web pages)

    (2) retain the ability to hyperlink to the table of contents (click on the section number or the page of the section in the TOC and go to that page in the PDF file)

    (3) ability to convert headers of type of Word (heading 1, heading 2, etc.) in PDF bookmarks. With bookmarks, the reader Gets a view of table of contents of the document in the sidebar of the PDF Viewer, wherever they are in the document. The user can click on bookmarks and access this section of the PDF file.

If I can do all these things with Acrobat Standard, I don't want to spend the extra money for the Pro version. Advice?

(PS. I am running Windows 8.1, Office 365, Word 2013.)

  • Seeking advice for a BT throbbing related question

    Dear Forum,
I would like your opinion on a performance problem related to the use of BT SW stack.

    * Information *:
Non-Toshiba notebook, Intel processor dual core @ 1.2 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Windows XP pro (5.1.2600 SP2 Build 2600) running, all updates from MS, computer company, MS Office 2003. I got the PC two months ago and bought separately the "Wireless 360 module Bluetooth USB internal (Toshiba device, VID 413C, PID 8140, firmware 43.15). I installed the module hardware and the software stack of BT (Toshiba BT Stack, version v4.41.02 (D)). I use BT mainly to connect to my mobile phone, for which "Nokia Suite' v6.85.141 is installed. Nokia Suite works fine and as expected using the BT link.

    * Problem *:
When you open a file de.doc/.xls by double clicking on it in Windows Explorer, the response of the system is very slow. Like 40 seconds (!) to open a 30 KB Word document. It can be reproduced. For other files, such as .pdf, the answer is much better. Word is started via the Start button and using file/open in Word to access the same file are OK. Open Windows Explorer by using the shortcut key Windows-E is very slow, open the Windows Explorer Start menu is normal.
I don't see any "heavy" disk access or 100% of the CPU during this period.
For the rest, the laptop seems to run OK.

    * Results so far: *
    (1) re-BT Toshiba battery installation has not improved things
    (2) for the shutdown of the PC, frequently the TosOBEX.exe process must take end 'manually '.
    (3) uninstall the battery BT SW makes him meet normal PC yet once
    (4) turn off Manager BT (System, click right, exit BT icon tray) has the same effect
    (5) judgment of the problematic effect deleted TosBTmng.exe process as well
    (6) from the PC with Microsoft not treat disabled people - except the battery BT - give a normal reactivity (!)
    (7) uninstall of McAfee virus Scan tools does not help
    (8) replace battery of BT with version 5.10.12 (T) solves the problem, but creates another problem: "services.exe" process continues to consume too much time CPU (~ 35... 40%)
    (9) I could not (yet) the identity of the process not BT which effect (s) this problem

    * Issues: *.
Anyone who is familiar with this effect?
    Any suggestions for next steps?
The advice of the Forum would be appreciated!

    WYTZE

Add: (8) using BT Stack 5.10.12 (T) in my case has the cited problem as well as the issue with the CPU load.

  • Adobe Standard Adobe Pro upgrade

Currently I have Adobe Standard on my computer and that you have purchased an upgrade to Adobe Pro - should I uninstall Adobe Standard before installing Adobe Pro or can I just install it over the current version?

    Thank you for your help,

    MLux

This forum is on the drive, not Acrobat...

But to answer your question, just install it. It will remove the previous version by himself.

  • Standard vs Pro

I have a user who receives quarterly reports from Business Objects in *.pdf files and job

changes with and insert graphics and images of Excel saved on *.png files.

You can do this with Standard?

Probably not, but without knowing exactly how the other person is doing, I can't be sure. Standard does not include the tool change object available with Pro: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/pro/using/WS708B0FA8-BE6E-4e73-966B-48F4E3461AA8.w.htm l

Standard can add images as icons buttons or stamps and then flatten pages. A handy utility based on JavaScript for this is available here: http://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/

  • Seeks advice notice on the idea of clear TC that I sell yet still be able to demonstrate that it works.

I'm selling my Time Capsule and before doing so would erase the content, what do I know will take time. As an electronic device, I expect the buyer to want to see that the functions of TC with Time Machine. Yes, I already backed up all of the content on another external drive.

I tell myself that I can erase and write on the disc of the day after which leaves me in the morning with a clean drive. Then I could set up a folder on the desktop with a few small, quick to back up files. I would set Time Machine to exclude everything except this on the Time Capsule backup folder. When the person comes to inspect and purchase, I could view the contents of the file, add another file, manually inform Time Capsule to back up and then show that the new file has been saved. Since there would be nothing personal in the folder, I could just trash and the time Capsule would be ready to deliver.

I am interested in other ideas if this makes no sense. Any tips or advice on my idea?

I sold a few TC... most people walk at your door... hand, you cash... and take the TC.

If you have a person who needs, he has demonstrated... forget the help of Time Machine.

Simply copy a file from your Mac to the Treasury Board.

I keep a large video file, I have to this effect. You can view the person he is on the TC and read it.

    Nothing more is needed...

Time Machine will work if the TC is available and on the network... you need to prove is the TC works as a network device.

BTW, you should do a thorough cleaning of the TC before sell you. A single pass is sufficient. Apple call it zero out data.

Quick erase just deletes the index.

It may take several hours, but will write a 0 for the sectors of the disk.

Never need to make more than one pass.

    Apple has two other options...

7 passes will take a week and 35 passes will probably kill the TC permanently.

A pass and write the ISO of linux on the disk if you are so worried.

Of course, if you keep the codes of nuclear launch on your personal reader... or the designs secret for your fusion reactor that you create just next door, I recommend an axe.
