start the browser

My browser start pages are not saved when I change it.

When I restart Firefox the old settings of start pages are loaded again.

I use Firefox 28.0 PC Windows 8.1.

Note that your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some preferences whenever you launch Firefox.

The user.js file appears only if you or another software created, therefore, normally, he wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor if you do not create this file yourself.

The user.js file is read whenever you launch Firefox and initializes the preferences to the value specified in this file, so set of preferences via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

Delete a possible user.js file and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.
If you do not keep the changes after a reboot or otherwise have problems with preferences, see:

The setting that you set in IE also affects Firefox. For example, if you set the following, and then when Firefox makes a connection request to Windows, Windows is supposed to establish the connection:

Windows Control Panel > Internet Options > connections or

Internet Explorer Tools menu > Internet Options > connections

"Dial whenever a network connection is not present"

  • start the browser problem

So my laptop opened randomly my web browser with a bunch of tabs leading to a website and I don't know what is the cause. Ive used windows Defender to do as well a full and quick scan and it found nothing but the problem continues. I have also noticed that if I'm away from the laptop long enough it opens again. Can someone help find a solution to end this problem?

Here are the Web sites he opens:

Well no, but gave you the idea to uninstall messenger facebook and it worked then problem solved even if someone should report this to facebook or something.

  • Hello. Sorry for my English :D I have a problem with ff. Then, I use chrome, then I start the browser, it shows me sites, those that I use often. How can I do it on ff?

    OK =.

If you want to make Firefox show you your most frequently used sites?

Well, there is a feature to come a lot like that in 13 of Firefox (which will probably go out in 5-6 weeks).

If you do not want to wait, try installing an add-on like https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/auto-dial

  • Is it possible to make the modules to activate as needed rather than turn to the browser start or disabled?

Extensions and Plug-ins have a disable or remove the button, not a sleep button. Is it possible to put these to use when the application needs instead of either on or off? It seems that Firefox starts with them all turned on, my browser startup time increases considerably. I don't need to plugin Quick Time or Windows Presentation Foundation to start the browser, but perhaps need them during the session, according to request.,.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Firefox does NOT start, the removal and resettlement will start as the last step, but once Firefox is closed, it does NOT restart.

Both browsers (Firefox 21 & IE) installed on my Widows XP 64-bit office refuse to start or click the icon on the desktop, the start menu bar or the executable files themselves. What happens is that all the icons disappear from the screen for 15-30 seconds, then the icons appear on the screen, and the last information message displayed from the system tray at the beginning upward is repeated.

Firefox deleting and reinstalling will start the browser as the last step, but when the new copy is closed, it will not start. Also just restart the download installation without removing Firefox will be 'Upgrade' and start in last step, but when the new copy is closed, it cannot be restarted. Restore running on the new copy has apparent effect on the ultimate inability to restart after closing.

I've only tried the Internet Explorer browser after being unable to start Firefox (its only usually used by States to update procedure) and have not studied either reinstall or repair.

Did you use programs that I listed? All anti-malware programs to detect different things.

    Hi John,.

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You use Internet Explorer? If so, what version are you using?

    ·         You get the error message?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 7 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: Follow the steps in the article.

On other devices, it opens the browser to the page.

I have attached the device and this is what happens:

    Exit MyApplication (215)

    Net_rim_bb_ribbon_app (80) foreground
FocusHistory: Acquired Focus; Home screen App; Component net.rim.device.apps.internal.ribbon.launcher.RibbonIconField

Here is the code I use the launch of the browser.  Maybe I should use System.exit (0)?

    BrowserSession browserSession = Browser.getDefaultSession();browserSession.displayPage(url);System.exit(0);

Call the private showBrowser after displayPage.  This brings the browser to the forefront.

I wrote once the weblaunchers for blackberryforums.com, some time ago...

I use the app as a base class and call the code you mentioned:

    Browser.getDefaultSession () .displayPage ("url")

    and for good measure also

    Browser.getDefaultSession () .show)

the finishs application just up and running with this spell, the browser continues.

in fact the browser is never closed, he always runs in the background.
