  I don't know if the problem is related, but I was also impossible to install the download: security for microsoft .net 1.1 SP1 framework update... (kb2656353).  I tried to install this download since January of 2012.  The reason why I tried to use the auto diagnostic software should fix my problem of installation of the security update.  I remember somewhere along the way, getting the error message that some files were corrupt.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

  We need to check the BIOS of the machine and make sure that the CD drive is the first boot device.

• Custom components and passing arguments

  This afternoon I got a great response on the use of custom MXML components and calling a function in the main file of the application. I can do it now using parentDocument, BUT I need to pass the name of a function (for filtering) as a parameter of the function call in the custom component. Here are two code fragments.

  Custom component code

  The filterFunction in main application function is called by multiple components, so I think I should keep centralized in the main application. There is probably another way to do it, but I build my Flex skills slowly and need to understand how to proceed. As the code is now, I get an error on the functions and strings.

  I think instead of calling the function inside the custom component, you must do this from the inside of your main application whenever you are initiating the custom component.

  in this way, that you need not prefix parentDocument.

  I agree that sentence is a bit off, note that the view talking affected _products_ (or not), not specific _components_ of a product.

  UCS seems to be off the hook. Not affected are:

  • Cisco UCS series B (blade) servers
  • Cisco UCS C-Series (Stand alone Rack) servers
  • Cisco UCS Central
  • Cisco UCS fabric of interconnections
  • Systems Cisco UCS Invicta series Solid State

  MMIC and UCSM would be part of the FI or B-or-C-series, etc.

  If you saw my last post, you know I hit a '20-page limit.

  Now, I'm making an attempt to solve the problem by creating components, the idea is to:

  -to have my main pages (home, about, contact etc) as components
  -inside of these components will be subpages of each page.

  
  For example:

  Now the problem is the following:

  Although this is possible, what is not possible is to (or so it seems) create transistions between these States.

  What I want is just to be able to build the navigation with transitions that I currently have.

  Why on earth would build you a 20page limit?

  When you create a button in a component, you can tell in interactions:

  on click, play of the transaction... (something outside the component) But the thing is: it is not possible to create this transition that I see.

  If anyone can help me with this, I would be very greatfull. In fact, I'd be willing to pay for it.

  Catalyst (and the Flex framework, on which it is based) uses a stateful model. This means that all components remain in the State that you left them. So if you want a component in the default state, you should probably make sure that you explicitly set its State beforehand.

  Attached, this is just a basic example of what your site pages might look like. It includes what look like your transitions between two example pages, in case you were still wondering.

  This may seem like a silly question but I'm sitting here for a few hours, I was wondering how I could change the color of the text for my components.

  For example I have an item in the drop-down list and I change its skin (all States) and put in a dark skin (I dragged the component on the stage and edited). However, the text on the component, is black and cannot be read. How could I change the component to white text.

• Several components and resizing

  People - I have 9 plots on a window of the façade. I want the user to be able to pull any corner of the window and resize proportionally plots.  I created 2 horizontal flaps and 6 vertical components in order to have 9 containers, one for each parcel.   I checked 'fit control component' for all 9 plots. Only the column the rightmost and lowest rank resize and not proportionally.  I just wanted to know if there is something missing that would make it feasible.

  I don't think that the panels can be resized programmatically when the program is running. What you can do is create the view you want on one pane, then right click in the scroll bar area and select:--> sizing of the pane and check scale all objects with component, also check scale all objects during resizing.

• HP 8500, unrelated, but some States PC and HP utility works well?

  Just changed the servers from Shaw to Telus.  Tried to print.  Solution Center HP said "no connection".  Plugged power cord for PC, went to the Manager of devices and device 'compatible '.  Restarted.  Then implement WEP again, but he did not like the Telus # then put in the old WEP Belkin #.  He agreed.  Printer and restarted PC.  No connection.  Manager States device works correctly.  Belkin works correctly. Summary of the Diagnostics of the network wireless, all the Pass Test and Enabled report.  HP Network Configuration Page - Network - Ready status, types of connection - Wireless, status - related.  So back to the HP Solution page and it says the printer is not connected.  He did print the test report, and everything said this works, but it doesn't.  The latest drivers are loaded.  What is going on?

  Your PC is probably looking for the printer on your network of old.  Go to start > Control Panel > devices & Printers.  Remove all instances of the printer.

  Now, go to start > all programs > HP > OfficeJet 8500 > add a device (or similar).  Run the program.  Find your printer on the network, and create an instance of the printer for her in Control Panel for you.

  Used to have a tool just to do this, called the Windows Installer Microsoft Cleanup utility.  Apparently, however, when this tool has been used (I think with MS Office), removes sometimes more he was supposed to, and that's why Microsoft has removed the tool of its download servers.

  The Windows Installer Cleanup utility is always available from http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html , or you can use the free Revo Uninstaller.  Before using or the other of these tools, create a restore point from the system, backup the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT, or (if you can afford) creates a full disk image or a clone - just in case.

  Here are the usual directions to perform a "clean installation" of iTunes, based on Support of Apple HT1926 article.

  Go to control panel > Add/Remove programs
  Remove these applications:
  1 Apple Software Update
  2. Apple Mobile Device Support
  3 Hello
  4 iPod for Windows (this may or may not exist, be it, it is not necessary, then we can remove it)
  5 iTunes
  6 QuickTime

  Open my computer > C: > Program Files
  Delete this files (if present)
  1 iPod
  2 iTunes
  3 QuickTime

  Empty your temp directory:
  Open my computer > C: > Documents & Settings > username > Local Settings and delete the contents of the folder called "Temp".

  If you don't see the local settings, enable hidden files:
  Tools > Folder Options > view tab
  Select Show Hidden Files & folder, and then click OK

  Once this file is empty, restart the computer

  Download & install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility:

  Launch the utility: start > programs > Windows Installer Clean Up
  Select one of the applications mentioned above and click on remove

  Restart the computer
