Stealthily white path lines and compound

I would appreciate a quick response to this if its possible that I have to send it to print very soon!

I am trying to create a compound path to hide certain pieces and create letters, but there seems to be some kind of overlap with his leaving a white line where there shouldn't be one. Its all set up for magnetism and both forms are perfectly in line, but his leaving this white border.

Capture.JPGCapture2.JPG

The upper part of each letter is basically just 2 circles of semi, the diameter being where is the white line. I hope that the lines are still visible on the screens low resolution...

Anyone know how to get rid of this line or whether it will still be printing?

See you soon

What Scott says.

And then, you would like to do some Pathfinder unite to join paths and to simplify things.

There seems to be no reason to have these joints out there.

    I'm getting white gaps between the black contour lines and color fill on laser printer

    You're welcome, Calotypist.

    Illy prefer PostScript because it gives you a reliable/complete (more) reproduction (depending on the version, you can also see (more) complete print failure).

    With a PDF basically tell you the printer where to put the points/tasks. Without it, the printer (pilot) has to figure (some) outside.

    If you can get one for the printer in question, a printer PostScript (emulation) driver will leave you direct printing.

  • the addition of several paths in a compound path

    If I use the GUI to add multiple paths in a compound path, all I have to do is select multiple paths and choose object-> compound path-> order manufacture (or ctrl-8). When I do that, then the path of the bottom that is filled has holes "through" creating a window in the form of small roads that were on top again. For example, a large rectangle with a white fill color is the background element and two smaller paths are on top. I have create a compound path and everything that is below the new compound path is reflected in most previous form two small paths.

    If I use JavaScript and create a new compoundPathItem and move 3 trails, with the largest being first, then I get a compound path, but only the first small objects creates a transparent space.

    Here's a simplified example:

    var grpMask = doc.groupItems ['mask group'];

    var compound = grpMask.compoundPathItems.add ();
    var pathobj = grpMask.pathItems ['bigbox ""];
    pathobj. Move (Compound, ElementPlacement.Inside);
    pathobj = grpMask.pathItems ['PathLeft ""];
    pathobj. Move (Compound, ElementPlacement.Inside);

    pathobj = grpMask.pathItems ['PathRight ""];
    pathobj. Move (Compound, ElementPlacement.Inside);

    In the example above, the "bigbox" has left and right channels above it, but only the left path creates a transparent space in the original box.

    I also tried to use PLACEATEND instead of INSIDE and the two smaller paths and move the group to the compound path.

    Merging the elements of path won't work - I want to keep the original path closed and intact without drawing a line between them so I can't simply add their pathpoints.

    Is move() the best way to add existing paths to a new path

    Thank you!

    I'm not sure,

    Take a look at polarity and/or evenodd propertys of pathItems inside the compoundpath.

    Maybe there is a difference.

  • CS4: join a zigzag line and a straight line

    I'm pretty new to Illustrator. I use CS4 on mac.

    Here's what I want: a rectangle filled in which the top and bottom line segments are straight and the line segments are two lateral zigzag. I can't find a good way to do it. It seems relatively simple during must be a method to do this, right? I apologize if this has been answered. I did a lot of research, really.

    The first thing I tried: a rectangle, then effect > distort & transform > Zig Zag. Which turns all segments of the zig zag of rectangle, and I want the top and at the bottom right.

    Next: Draw four separate lines and join them to make a form that I can fill. I can do that, right? In any case, the problem: I draw a zigzag line and a straight, perpendicular line. I select endpoints with the tool pen (right?) to join them. When they join, or both become straight and they both became zigzag. Which is not what I want or the other. Here is a picture of what I'm trying to do.Screen shot 2012-06-16 at 9.53.58 PM.jpg

    The other thing I noticed is that the effect of Zig Zag does not give me additional anchor points (at least from what I see) and does not find anchor points where I want. See in the picture above, where the left side selected line, that there is a right way so I anchor points don't line up with the line zigzag that is visible to me. Which means that when I try to attach segments, they make funny shapes around the corner. Which is also annoying. This thread seemed to indicate that Zig Zag should give me additional anchor points on every corner: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/482958. Why I not get that? It's a question of CS4/CS5?

    Essential, I just want to this form. Any method that I can use in CS4 would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

    To draw the figure:

    1 rectangle tool: drawing a rectangular path.

    2 white pointer: select a segment (not an anchor point).

    3. cut to the Clipboard.

    4 paste in front.

    5. follow the Zig - Zag effect.

    6 expand the appearance.

    7 black pointer: select two traces.

    8 join twice.

  • HP EliteBook 8440p: white horizontal lines on the screen who retreat down in the minute

    Hi again. I've already posted about this so there are pictures and a full description of my post a few days ago. In short, when the laptop was arrested or sleep for more than a few hours, it is white horizontal lines on the lower part of the screen that slowly fade completely down. The lines do not appear on an external monitor in dual mode.

    I removed the screen twice now and checked / reinstall connections to the screen and under the keyboard. The problem persists.  I flashed the BIOS a few days ago and the problem persists. The webcam, microphone and WWAN/WLAN are all in perfect condition and the computer works fine apart from this problem of screen work.

    Until I drop the most money on this used laptop that is my only question at this point sounds as strictly a matter of cable/display on the screen? If it's a motherboard problem I would see other problems? If it is the graphics card goes wrong I would see other problems? As I said, the computer works perfectly once it is running.

    Anyone has any useful ideas?

    Hello

    You can try to connect this unit to an external monitor to check if there is a problem with the motherboard or display

    If the external monitor works fine, then there is no problem with the motherboard, only the display panel needs replacement.

    If the problem persists in the external monitor, suggest you to update the graphics drivers and see if the problem resolves

    I hope this helps

    I agree with Sanwin2.  It is probably a hardware problem and I think that you need to repair or replace the laptop.

  • Crash of Vista, graphic error, green lines and broken at the start lines.

    OK, maybe complicated I don't know.

    Occasional at startup, my screen will be covered in white or green lines and will prevent windows to start so I have to manually turn my pc and turn it on again.

    At first, it was just a problem visually but now its my PC randomly crash. The dotted green line will suddenly appear all over screen of, freeze my PC and I have to restart again.

    It's random, it is not the case whenever I turn on the PC but when it does it is a pain.

    Any information you can give me would be great

    See you soon

    Hello, daz18

    This seems to be either a driver, or more likely a hardware problem. Errors that distort the screen you describe is extremely rare with only software.

    Check with the manufacturer and make sure that you have the latest video drivers for your computer.

    Try to run the memory diagnostics tool: click Start, type memory in the search box and open the Diagnostic tool memory and choose whether you want to restart now or later. After the restart of the tool must be running and then windows starts to tell whether or not it finds problems.

  • My move slider to the other lines and paragraphs and letters when typing e-mails and do their homework.

    As a first step, if you see letters where they aren't suppose to be, I'll put this word in brackets. If you don't see everything, it happens sometimes. I've had this laptop for 18 months. Motherboard has been replaced three times. Cursor and letters move to other lines and paragraphs themselves. This problem is annoying, especially when I do the assignments in class. Is their a fix for this problem, or what?

    Please help, my time is precious.

    Uncle Midgy

    Your laptop has a touchpad?  Chances are good that you are accidentally in touch with her all by tapping and activating the latter and that moves the cursor (and before you notice it, you typed a letter whenever the cursor moves towards).  This happened to me until I bought a separate mouse and disable the touchpad - then the problem has disappeared.

    Some touchpad controls (usually located under the start menu / control panel / mouse have commands to disable the touchpad while typing.)  See if that is the case with yours and if so, activate the function, and it can be useful.  If you do not have the service contact the computer manufacturer to obtain the latest device drivers touchpad and install (and update the drivers for the keyboard while you're there just in case it is the source of the problem, but I think it is the touchpad) - they contain the function as an upgrade.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you do it for your keyboard and touchpad), get the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

    I hope this helps.

    This means that the LCD screen of your laptop will have to be replaced to solve the problem.

    External display display normal display shows that the solution to video display inside the laptop (integrated in the chipset or graphics module) is operational.

  • I have a white vertical line down the right side of my screen

    Hi all

    Can someone help please.
    I noticed a day or two there is a white vertical line appear on my screen.  Have you checked the updates etc, but nothing seems to have fixed.
    Can someone please help :-)

    Hi Vicky,

    I apologize for the late response.

    If you still experience the problem, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the monitor that has the problem and check if it is a hardware problem in the monitor.

    This is because, in Safe Mode, the graphics drivers do not work on your computer. Because you have encountered the problem in Mode safe as well, it indicates that the problem is not caused by a problem in the software that controls the attributes of your display unit. So, at this point, it would be better if we check for hardware issues in the monitor. We do not have enough expertise to help you to diagnose hardware problems, but the hardware manufacturer specialize in this.

    I hope that this information will take a step more toward the resolution of the issue. If you have additional questions about Windows, do not respond. We are happy to be of assistance.

  • Path relative and methods XML

    Hi, I am learning to integrate xml with JSX, I read the document "JavaScript Tools Guide CS6" breast to help him expand the menu Tool Kit, and I use one example of another thread here the community is already working... But I'm still, two questions are:

    -Currently, use an absolute path (line 2 below) to search for the file on the desktop. However, I need the path relative to search for the folder the script is (my xml file will be as well as the script and not the office...)

    -Online # 12 has received:

    leader. Open ('r', 'TEXT', '? ');

    What are these three arguments, 'r', 'TEXT' and '? ' the open() method? I have not find documentation on the open(), read() and close() methods, know where I can find?

    If anyone can help me I would be very grateful, thank you. Here is my code.

    //
    var file = new File("~/Desktop/bookstore.xml");
    readXMLFile(file);
    //
    function readXMLFile(file) {
            if (!file.exists) {
                    throw "Dont find: " + deodeURI(file.absoluteURI);
            }
            file.encoding = "UTF8";
            file.lineFeed = "unix";
            //
            file.open("r", "TEXT", "????");
            var bookXmlStr = file.read();
            file.close();
            return bookstoreXML = new XML(bookXmlStr);
    };
    //
    writeXMLFile(file,bookstoreXML)
    //
    function writeXMLFile(file, xml) {
            if (!(xml instanceof XML)) {
                    throw "Bad XML parameter";
            }
            file.encoding = "UTF8";
            file.open("w", "TEXT", "????");
            // unicode signature, this is UTF16 but will convert to UTF8 "EF BB BF"
            file.write("\uFEFF");
            file.lineFeed = "unix";
            file.write(xml.toXMLString());
            file.close();
    };
    //

    You can get the current script to help file

    Folder (File($.fileName).parent) .fullName

    or

    Folder (app.activeScript.parent) .fullName

    I think that may not work when launching a script in the Scripts panel. I always use the former because I don't run my scripts in this way, and I've never had problems.

    With regard to file.open, if you use ExtendScript Toolkit you can read about it by opening the object model viewer and selecting Classes the core of JavaScript in the browser. Open takes three arguments. The first is the mode (read, write, modify, add), the second and third are Mac only values that describe type and Creator.

    If you do not use the Toolbox, you can read about the core JavaScript stuff that implements ExtendScript here: Adobe InDesign CS6 (8,0) object model JS: Table of contents, some Classes of basic JavaScript (there are other versions for other versions of the object model if you need something different).

  • How can I merge lines and shapes to create a final version?

    Hello

    I am trying to create an icon star with lines through it. I used the generator star-shaped tool, and the line segment tool, but the lines are not recognized as part of the star shape. For example, when I try to turn the star, the lines remain in the same place. It's pretty much exactly what I'm trying to do, but I can't train segments in a coherent, editable form.

    http://www.davekoelle.com/geometry/geom-star_th.png

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

    Keywords

    keywordsarekey,

    Unfortunately I still can't seem to individual segments to fill those I would like to

    You should be able to do with paint live, at least if you give the original Star a filling first.

    Or you can check view > commented, then:

    (1) slide with the line tool outer corner at the inner corner opposite to all divisions (Smart Guides say anchor at each end), as many lines as the star's points.

    (2) select lines and demarcation object > path > divide objects below, this creates paths triangular to give different fills, probably with a few trails of trash in the Center, see 4.

    (3) select each of the triangular paths (you can drag onto the external segment) and set the fill color, you can do this in groups for each color so you have just to tisk filling in the Tollbox box;

    (4) if necessary, select each path that appears in the extended layers palette and remove paths from the Recycle Bin appears in the Center.
