Stéphane error 'Serail port 1'... is not accessible.

During the migration of a virtual machine from one ESX 4 server to another I get the error:

Currently connected device "serial port 1' sues support" / dev/ttyS0 ", which is not accessible."

Of course, I could uncheck the connected under "Device status" and migrate without any problem.  However, this server uses HA and automatic failover and I fear that this virtual machine will not be able to start on the other host.

I don't know that we migrated this virtual machine in the past with no problems.  What can I do to get the serial port to migrate without having to be disconnected?

If this customer has a connection to a serial port ESX host, it cannot be migrated without breaking this serial connection.  So, as far as I know, there is nothing you can do.  I have not beieve using VMDirect path will fix deliver you.

  • Book: CD/DVD device is not accessible. Access denied message

    Hello

I tried to access some of my cd.

Currently, I get an error message indicating "d:\ is not accessible. "access is denied", for the most part cd.

So far, I have a cd which I can access, but I still get a message indicating "SONIC DLA - your version of DLA can read files on this drive, but you will not be able to change or add their.

I would be grateful for any advice or comments on how to solve this problem.

    Kind regards.

    Hello

Your error message comes from the software Sonic-letter of mission which is part of the suite of Sonic RecordNow.

I think that book books come with a pre installed = the version of Sonic, but I don't know if it includes DLA.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the Sonic game produced, but I guess it must be some configuration or settings required for DLA allow the use of ease & slide. I suggest that you check your settings to ensure that they are compatible with your system.

  • Satellite Pro A200 - CD/DVD question - D:\ drive is not accessible

    Hello

No one knows what may be the cause of this problem - when I put a disc into my laptop to install the new sotware - I see the following error message:

    "D:\ is not accessible."

The request could not be performed because of an i/o error. "

    Thank you

    Kristian

I can provide a possible solution that has worked for many others:

Go to Device Manager and remove the drive from the list of devices CD/DVD.
Then start the registry (regedit) and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

After that, restart your machine and windows will install the drive again. Check if it worked for you.

    Hello

I managed to solve my problem of not being able to access... \\DELLDESKTOP.

I searched the forums and found the following method which sort my problem but apparently it only works on machines running XP Home Edition.

On the machine running XP Home, go to Microsoft and download the program rktools and run it

    You find at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=4544

Once you have it installed, click on start, all programs, Windows Resource Kit Tools, Command Shell

Then enter the following commands (not case sensitive)

    NET user guest/active: Yes

    NTRights + r SeNetworkLogonRight u comments

    NTRights - r SeDenyNetworkLogonRight u comments

I don't remember who posted this solution but I found it by typing in the actual error message in its entirety, in the search box.

  • Win7 computer cannot connect to other computers Win7 network "\\computername is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource ".

I have a Windows 7 (box A) system that cannot connect to files shared on another computer in Windows 7 (box B).

    • On the 'network card' and 'See the network computers and devices', I can see box B of area A.
    • I can ping Box B of area A.
    • I can connect on MEDIA sharing on box B of area A.
    • Area C (another system of Windows 7) I can connect to the B area and am presented with a box of authentication to connect to the shares (i.e., box B works as it should).

But the box has double clicking on box B or using \\computername or \\IP_Address the dialog box run, I get the error:

    ----

\\computername is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

The network is not present or not started.

    ----

I know that the system is available, because the area C can access... But something's not on the box... It cannot connect to zone B or C. Box

I have disabled the firewall on both systems without result.

I reinstalled the network adapter and Client for Microsoft Networks is installed on the box.

Yet somehow box's not connection to other computers on the network.

Any thoughts on what I should check would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance for the help.

OK... so I was able to track down and get it fixed...

I found another symptom (that would be a good way to check and see if you experience the same problem).

In the network and sharing Center, I clicked on "Change advanced sharing settings" in the left column. I found that the radio button under "File and printer sharing" was put on the OFF position.  I started and saved the changes, but when I returned in these settings, it is once again in the off position.

It turned out that the workstation service is set to disabled (which also caused the computer browser service for not being able to boot). I activated the workstation service, started, and set it to automatic.  Then did the same for the computer browser service.

Both of these services running, the "File and printer sharing" it will remain actually on IT, and I am able to connect to other devices on the network in the way I had to.

I can't mark this message as the solution (perhaps because I posted it?) so if someone he will quote as their response to the post office, I'll be able to mark as answer.

  • ADF Mobile: Specified connection URL is not accessible.

    Good afternoon

I have studied this error and you know it is recommended to adjust the PROXY settings.  However, I have no proxy in place.  Here's how I got here where I am:

Last week I upgraded my MAC (OS x 10.9) JDK 1.7_55 and JDev 11.1.2.4.39.64.36.1. I use now a mistake at some point in the development process that makes no sense - in the initial phase.

I tested my URL on Safari, Chrome & the customer REMAINS.  It works as expected.  So there is nothing wrong with the side server.

Surprisingly, when I plug the URL in JDeveloper under the adfmf - application.xml-> Security-> authenticate & access control I get the error "specified Login URL is not accessible.

My colleagues can do the same thing with a response of 'Success'

I am able to deduce that I have a problem of JDeveloper.  Please provide some instructions on how to solve this problem.

  • Error message "a program could not start. Please try again"when I try to send Remote Assistance invitation.

original title: Remote Assistance does not work

    Win XP PRO SP3

    Question #1:

When you try to send an invitation to support remote I get an error message "a program could not start. Please try again. »

This error pops up before even the invitation is created, so the problem is with the creation of the invitation and not with problems of subsequent connection between the computers. The invitation is never created. This happens on several computers I own or maintain.

The event log records all errors when this happens.

I searched for hours all over the Internet and a lot of people seem to have this problem. Some it is resolved, for the most part, they needed to start a service, but the cause of their problem is not the same as mine.

After restarting the computer, sometimes the invitation creation works fine.

Other DIY suggests when the problem appears it can be corrected by running the command 'sessmgr-service' in a command line window. After executing this line it seems that the problem is resolved.

What I find disconcerting is that Sessmgr.exe is the service Remote Desktop Help Session Manager that was already running, but for some unknown reason runs this line made work again right. I'll have to experiment more.

Is it possible to debug and fix this?

    Question #2:

When I can finally send an invitation it will work on the local network but not on the Internet. I can't connect to the Internet.

I'm looking at the structure and the content of the invitation to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc240167(v=prot.10).aspx
In the example given here, as in the generated invitations in my experiences, the invitation contains only the LAN IP addresses (with port number) but no global address.
    RCTICKET =... 192.168.1.65:3389; Jeff: 3389

How the computer expert is supposed to understand the global address to which it should connect is a mystery to me.

How can I get Remote Assistance to work on the Internet?
