Original title: XP will not start or reinstall.

Normal startup is not found.

Safe mode comes up with different drivers missing ex.\windows\system32\DRIVERS\iaStorV.sys.

Council of recovery is not usable, put it back, stops and stops at blue screen with:

Hello

You can check in the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) if the CD/DVD drive is set as the first priority in the boot sequence. If this isn't the case, set the CD/DVD drive as the first priority in BIOS and then try to boot into the Recovery Console.

Note: Changing the BIOS / chipset can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/chipset can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Then, you try to run chkdsk from the Recovery Console and check if you are able to boot to the desktop.

At the Recovery Console prompt, type which Suits, and then press ENTER:

CHKDSK [/ p]: [/ r]

Note: At first, try to run chkdsk/p & check if it helps. Later, you can run chkdsk/r.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

Access your product download page and reinstall the software for bluetooth under networks:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?OS=2093 & LC = on & DLC = in & CC = US & Product = 3716846 & lang = in

then, under network connections in the network and sharing window - see if you have a bluetooth adapter that is listed.  If you do not use bluetooth, you can turn it off or you should be able to set it up properly.

If fails it then in Control Panel, under administrative tools, Services - locate service BTtray and disable it.

I am trying to reinstall windows xp - it just so of many bugs/blue screen crashes, etc., it's time.  But when I boot from the windows xp installation cd, it starts to load windows things and then gives me this error partmgr.sys - pagefault in area non paged, etc... It is an error 0 x 00000050.  I've read a lot about this.  I tried doing a diskcheck of my c drive, and it gets all the way to the end and then said can not complete and I can't program it to a reboot or anything.  I could reformat the C drive first, but since I can still coming windows now (install did not quite far as old data are missing), i'm hesitant to take this measure.  So I guess I'm basically asking if reformatting the hard drive will help me to find mistakes, etc... or if I have to do something else first.

Youre facilities are not correct to reinstall xp...

We need to start the pc from xp to the menu of the cd installation cd, select

"install xp", select this option to delete the partition, create it and then xp puts the

Auto HD & installs. DiskCheck at this stage will be available in the recovery console,

so if that message apears, then windows is still installed, and you can try to

  • Tried all your suggestions, but still cannot fix the runtime error. How can I reinstall Windows 7 without losing everything?

I tried a soft boot, it does not solve the problem.  I deleted all the redistributable files from Microsoft, and then restarted, I still have the same error message, even if I had deleted the files.  I reinstalled the updated files, the problem persists.  I'm frustrated and tired of this and now just want to know how to reinstall Windows 7 Premium Edition while preserving my other programs and files.

If you reinstall, you will need to backup your data, do the reinstall, and then reinstall your programs.  And before that, you will need to have all the drivers from the manufacturer of your computer.  If you can restore to the factory settings, which may save you the hassle of dealing with drivers.

When you got your system back as you, I invite you to buy an external hard drive, and a good backup 3rd party program. You can configure it to automatically do everything in time and frequency of your choice. 1.5 TB external hard drives is approximately $90 these days and a very good FREE backup program corresponds to the Easeus todo backup free of charge that you can download from

http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/free-backup-software.htm . Who can make you save a lot of time and frustration, the next time something like this happens. Sooner or later, it happens to all computers for one reason or another.

    Good luck.

Any help with this would be most appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

If the laptop BIOS diagnostics give you a hard drive failure ID then the only reliable or viable is to replace the hard drive.

That's what I found when I used your product ID. Is your 4530 ProBook HP still under warranty? A hard drive is a client of reeplaceable item. Try to use LH450EA as the product ID and then if you are prompted to use the #ACQ.

  • How can I get the error "Unable to start the service" on attempts to run administrative tools (including the Services application) when logged in as an administrator?

A large number of menu selections is affected, including the 'computer management', 'Event Viewer', 'Services' and 'System Configuration'.

I tried to clean a computer that was thus invaded by unwanted applications and the services that it was unusable.  I applied several sets of Windows updates until it has been fairly stable, then lightened through the Services application services, changing many services 'automatic' to 'enabled' or 'disabled '.  I suspect that some service necessary for the performance of the foregoing has been inadvertently stopped.  (None that he was '' strongly recommended '' or '' recommended '' do not turn off or the description seemed to make a requirement, but...)  I don't know how to confirm this theory, identify the missing service or reactivate a service without the Services application.

I got lucky.  I called a local, independent computer store.  Their support staff (after confirming that I had an appropriate Windows license) told me that if the computer came with a disk for Installation of Windows Vista, there is probably a partition to start installation on the hard disk, I could get to with a special touch at the beginning of the start-up phase of the BIOS.  It flashed by so quickly that I missed my chance, so I put off the power while trying to boot Windows.  On my next attempt, I missed again (even if I managed to spot the key combination - F11).  But when he arrived at the start-up phase of Windows, he offered me a chance to run the system restore which was banned when I was logged in with an administrator account.  I had to go back a ways, but I found one who would start and was able to complete cleaning of the machine and make it to a usable state.

    Thanks to all who responded.

Oh, and it seems (according to my conversation with the service of the local computer store) that my fatal mistake was by disabling the service allowing you to promote its own security.  Apparently an administrator account is not the rights needed to perform most administrative functions without it; If disabling the service gets you into a nearly unrecoverable state.  A hint of that in the description of the service, or even a total ban on deactivation, would be a good idea.
