stop a secondary vi

I have a program consisting of a main vi which calls one of the three different sub-panels based on a number entered. I can leave the school very well and then use a different one with a different number, but I also want to stop the entire program with a single button. Can I use a global variable with a while loop, but I have a structure of the event with a delay of 10 minutes that I can't change. How to trigger structure of the top-level vi event?

I enclose an excerpt (I hope!) that shows what I want to do. I can't post the actual code. The code as written stops, waiting at the entrance of the key "exit". I want to be able to use the "stop" button in the while loop to trigger structure of the event. I can't get a global to do this.

You may want to pull this image down before Ed Dickens (author of "using the function to stop your application in LabVIEW is a bit like using a tree to stop your car... ") sees it.

Re: How to stop...

I suggset youread nugget of tone on the dynamic event record. Dynamic event record allows you to st - up an event in a VI that get triggered by a control in another VI. It will take a bit of learning, but once you get used to it, you'll like it.

    Do you mean by reliable?

It will be permanent if you apply via dgmgrl database pending:

Change the property set of database my_standby_db Binding = "optional."

    See the detailed database my_standby_db

You must ask it also on the primaries for the cases of change of role, but for now, you need to change it for the day before to take effect.

If the archivelogs can be deleted are beeing shipped in standby mode.

Making the optional standby destination will prevent them from beeing deleted primary until shipped it standby after the host is again.

  • Best practices for the restart of the nodes of the ISE?

    Hello community,

I administer an ISE installation with two nodes (I'm not a specialist of the ISE, my job is simply to manage the user/mac-addresses... but now I have to move my ISE a VMWare Cluster nodes to another VMWare Cluster.

(Both VMWare environments are connected to our network of the company, but are different environments. vMotion is not possible)

I want to stop ISE02, move it to our new VMWare environment and start it again.

That I could do this with our ISE01 node...

Are there best practices to achieve this? (Stop request first, stopl replikation etc.) ?

Can I really just reboot a node ISE - or I have consider something before I do this? After I did this?

    All tasks after reboot?

    Thanks for any answer!

    ISE01
    Administration, monitoring, Service policy
    PRI (A), DRY (M)

    ISE02
    Administration, monitoring, Service policy
    SEC (A), PRI (M)

There is a lot to consider here.  If changing environments involves a change of IP address and IP extended, then your policies, profiles and DACL would also change among other things.  If this is the case, create a new VM ISE in the new environment in evaluation license using the and recreate the old environment deployment by using the address of the new environment scheme.  Then a new secondary node set rotation and enter it on the primary.  Once this is done, you can re - host license from your old environment on your new environment.  You can use this tool to re - host:

    https://Tools.Cisco.com/swift/LicensingUI/loadDemoLicensee?formid=3999

If IP addressing is to stay the same, it becomes simpler.

First and always, perform an operational backup and configuration.

If the downtime is not a problem, or if you have a window of maintenance of an hour or so: just to close the two nodes.  Transfer to the new environment and light them, head node first, of course.

If the downtime is a problem, stop the secondary node and transfer it to the new environment.  Start the secondary node and when he comes back, stop the main node.  Once that stopped services on the head node, promote the secondary node to the primary node.

Transfer of the FORMER primary node to the new environment and turn it on.  She should play the role of secondary node.  If it is not the case, assign this role through the GUI.

Remember, the proper way to shut down a node of ISE is:

    request stop ise

    Halt

By using these commands, the risk of database corruption decreases by 90% (remember to always backup).

  • Keep front VI school after secondary stop containing VI

Is it possible to keep the image of the façade of a VI in a secondary after discontinuation of the VI containing the secondary?  The default action causes the secondary clear when the VI containing the secondary is stopped but not closed.

    Thanks in advance...

    Steve

If you want the image of the PC, you can place an image control in the SP, use the Get Image Panel method and push the result in the image control. When the VI will stop the SP will become transparent and you will see the image control.

I guess that, however, what you really want is the PC itself remain in the SP and I believe that the answer is no. My experience has been that the appellant removes MS VI when it stops, if you deleted or not, and a quick test shows that you cannot insert a VI in a PC that is not running. Personally, I never needed MS to have a VI when the appellant stopped.

A workaround you might be able to use is to put the SP in an XControl. XControls run to change time too, so I think it will work, but I have not tried.

I hae errors on Xp before I bought a Vista and now I have installed Windows 7 as a test.

Unfortunately, I received the error after 2 minutes of play Dark Orbit, the browser game. I noticed usually takes place when I play games the internet Explorer + or sometimes games + winamp.

I downloaded Windows Dbg and I started to analise errors: the results have been different because of some programs I had installed.

After reading a few reviews here, I've changed my antivirus AVG and my Ad-Aware malaware spyware Defender.

After these changes and installing windows 7, the error is like this. I will introduce the last and 4 that I analyzed:

  • How do we stop it Firefox asking to update the password on the secondary registration pages?

Many sites Web uses a name of user and password and a 'secret question' sign in. Part II contains usually enter the answer a random question, as 'the mother maiden name. " 'place of birth' etc.

When this happens, Firefox asks if I want to update the password that it stores. I have obviously not because it will change my real password, and the answer will be different the next time in any case. This happens on all the signs in and there is no way I can tell Firefox not do; the only options are up to date or "not now".

I always feel like Firefox to remember the user principal name and the real password, so how do I prevent him from asking questions about these pseudo passwords without turning off the main connection details record?

Hello gheathen, enter Subject: authorizations in the address bar, locate the site in question and block its ability to store passwords (which should not affect the currently registered).

  • Stop 0 x 00000101 "an interruption of clock has not received on a secondary processor in the allotted time interval.

This accident occurs randomly. It is not dependent on temperature, as it happens hot and chilly days. The system does not have hard cpu utilization is about 15%. That seems to only happen when I'm not around and the system runs just fold at home, Kaspersky AV and Windows. ASUS P6T Deluxe, I7-920, 6GB OCZ Platinum, PC Power & Cooling 750 HP, Hauppauge 150 TV Tuner card, Creative Soundblaster X - Fi Titanium, Sapphire 4870. All the drivers are up to date, BIOS, just updated to 1701.  The system is overclocked to BCLK 170 instead of 133. The CPU voltage is 1.2, temperatures run 40-60. I stress tested Pime95 running without problem. I have not found much online that seems to help. I ran the Memtest and Windows memory diagnostics for a few hours each without mistakes to come. Thank you.

I had this on my lenovo w701 - there ended up being the software power management - I never disabled it and viola no more problems.

Since the update to El Capitan, during the scrolling of the screen guard snapping back to the top of the Web page. How can I stop this?

Please read this message before doing anything.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It is unlikely to solve your problem. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

The test is intended to determine if the problem is caused by a third-party software that loads automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you usually connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of the test.

  • Want 750-103D: secondary drive is wiped clean on factory reset

I've screwed to the top of my installation of office and had to do a factory reset. All my applications were in the main drive and no apps such as photos, music, documents in my secondary hard drive. As a precaution, I unplugged the secondary drive before I did the factory reset. After the factory reset desktop started successfully. Then I stop and plugged back the secondary drive but to my horror on 2nd boot my secondary drive had been wiped and all my apps not disappeared. I don't understand.

    What have I done wrong?

I don't think that something was wrong.

The new operating system is not reading secondary drive completely as the file system may be different.

Assign a drive to secondary drive. Press Windows + R, type deskmgmt.msc and press to enter. Here, you would see a drive or disk space that would be unassigned. Right click on the drive and assign a drive.

    or

Insert the image secondary drive in an external hard disk enclosure and connect an external drive and you should find the content.

If you have disconnected the secondary drive there is no way of that new OS will erase the content, unless you asked.

  • How can I stop mail constantly try to resend an email bounced?

A time back I sent an email to both addresses at a time.  Email went to a single address successfully but bounced on the other (with the message "failure MX Lookup;") try later).  Mail continues to try to return it to failed and I get emails bounce back.  How can I stop trying to send the email?  Enamel is in my "Sent" folder, so no use to delete from there - it just seems to be caught in a loop of cyberspace.  It's not ruining my life, just vaguely annoying.

The other problem is that the address has failed is a desk that I need to send things, so if anyone can tell me how to stop my e-mails get rejected from there, that would be great...

Is there a message still in your Outbox? Is there and it is this remove it from there.

Most likely mail "successfully" sent to your mail server and it's your e-mail server who tried several times to send it to the other people's e-mail server. In this case, the options are to delete your mail from Queue - Server users something normal cannot do, but the server administrator may be able to do for you.

Even if there is nothing that you can do yourself that a mail server will normally only try to send an email to a number of attempts or days and then stop. The number varies depending on the settings of the server.

There are a lot of possible reasons as to why it's a failure for a well known email address alleged. In this case based on the limited data available, it could be one of the following.

    • The recipient doesn't have to renew the domain name registration and so their field was suspended, so your server can not 'find '.
    • Someone accidentally messed up the DNS settings for the domain of recipients, not impossible but unlikely
    • Currently, their internet connection is defective and they run their own DNS server, so as a side effect of their DNS record has also become unavailable, it is for this kind of situation that your mail server is trying repeatedly for once in the hope that their link returns to the top
    • If you typed the wrong email address in case the domain name, then your server will not be able to find it because it is looking for the wrong name
    • They recently moved offices and/or Internet providers and meanwhile, their systems can be offline

In many cases they should bid a secondary MX record so that if their own mail server is temporarily unavailable mails sent at the entrance side and temporarily kept them until their mail server is back online then the secondary MX server will forward all the emails that have been temporarily held in them. Some people/companies do not reach the secondary MX records of installation.

  • HP G62 Notebook PC: Completely disable the secondary graphics card

    Hello

I have a HP G62 Notebook PC that I bought a couple of years back. The problem I have is that the graphics card of (the age AMD) to the secondary address has been damaged by hardware components (probably due to multiple disconnections of power and unexpected stops). Everything else works fine. This problem is causing Windows to keep crashing through the blue screen, or not to display a picture at all after the Windows logo while booting. I managed to install Ubuntu on it and the operating system detected the damaged graphics card and worked around it (aka he turned off the power to the graphics card damaged and worked only using the Intel graphics card). My question is, is it possible to turn off the graphics card AMD to turn completely (from the BIOS maybe) so that I can re-install Windows and work on it using only the graphics card Intel?

Please help, I'll provide more information if necessary.

Please identify your laptop with its full product name or product number. You gave only a partial identification so far. I need I can take a look at the BIOS Simulator to see if it was possible there.

Never mind providing the number or name of producty. I worked around it.

I just took a look at the BIOS Simulator and found that there is no option to turn off the graphics card it. You may be able to work around it by removing the card.

You can also replace the card with a card of the same work to find the switchable graphics feature. You should be able to find one to an online vendor at a reasonable price. If you don't feel able to do it yourself, then you can have the replacement carried out by a store.

  • resolution 2560 x 1440 has suddenly stopped working. 1080 p now the max option available

I have 2010 macbook pro (el capitan) and ASUS H257HU monitor that supports the resolution 2560 x 1440. Until yesterday, I was able to get the full resolution, but suddenly it has stopped working and the max resolution I could get was 1080 p.

I tried to reset the smc and NVRAM, but that did not help.

In safe mode, I followed the suggestion of apple and was able to get resolution of 2560. But it reboots the machine back to 1080 p. Hold down the option key and clicking on the option scale does not display any resolution above 1080 p.

I've tried searching and following some recommendations, but no permits.

Restart the computer and enter views sometimes give 2560 option, but clicking on it makes the screen turns blue and then it always comes back to 1080 p, with no options available in the dialog on the scale. The System Preferences dialog box hangs for a few seconds.

Someone at - he fell on the same issue and found a solution. I don't know why he suddenly stops working, while still being able to work in safe mode but not in normal condition. I tried to remove the profiles as well.

With bootcamp (win 7), the display works fine with 2560 x 1440.

The connector I use is screen Mini DisplayPort.

All proposals/solutions will be very well received.

    Hello there, moths.

It seems that you are having problems to select the resolution you want on your external display from ASUS. Great job with the troubleshooting, you've done so far. The following Knowledge Base article offers strong information to look over and review, as well as links to some additional troubleshooting content:

Get help with graphical problems on external displays connected to your Mac.

    Before you start

You can solve many problems of display by updating the software on your Apple devices, cables and adapters. If you see an image on your screen, look for the software updates using the Mac App Store:

    1. Connect your external display and Apple video cables or cards that you use with it.
    2. In the Apple menu, click App Store.
    3. Click updates in the window of the App Store.
    4. Install OS X updates or firmware are listed.

If you use a display, hub, extenders or adapter not made by Apple, check with the manufacturer for updates that might be available.

If you try to connect a screen 4 K or Ultra HD TV with your Mac, make sure that your computer meets the requirements for the use of these external displays.

If your firmware and software are up to date, or if you don't see the image on your screen, try the steps below for your specific problem.

    {...}

    Check the connections

Check the connections on your Mac and external screens:

    • If you use an Apple laptop computer, try to connect the AC adapter.
    • Make sure that the power cable from the external display is connected correctly and that your display is enabled.
    • If you are using a Mac Pro (end of 2013), make sure that your screens are plugged into the right ports.
    • If you use a hub of display, Cabinet or "KVM", try to connect the video cable from your screen directly to your Mac instead.
    • Unplug the video cable where it plugs into your Mac, then reconnect to reinsert the connection.
    • If you are using a video card, unplug the video adapter on your Mac, then reconnect to reinsert the connection.
    • If you use multiple video cards to connect your screen (the cards are "chained"), testing connection of the screen by using a single adapter if possible. Some video cards may not be linked together. For example, a mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter may not be connected to an adapter DVI to HDMI.
    • If your screen has more than one video connection, see if you are using another connection on the display works. If possible, check if you use a different view or a different adapter works.
    • Try using another cable that you know to be in working condition. Check with the manufacturer of the screen to make sure that you use the cable they recommend.

    Detect your display

If you use an external monitor, sleep and wake your Mac to check for connected screens:

    1. Press the power button on your computer to standby, or choose the Apple menu > sleep.
    2. Wait a few moments, and then press a key on your keyboard or click your mouse or trackpad to wake up your Mac.

If you use more than one screen, and you can see the image on one of the screens, you can also use the preferences monitors to check the connected screens.

    Adjust video settings

If there is no image on the screen, try adjusting the brightness or contrast of the screen. If there is still no picture or image appears torn, or scrambled, try selecting a different video resolution in system preferences. Adjust brightness

    • If you use an Apple Display Monitor, press the key to increase brightness your Apple keyboard. To adjust the brightness of a secondary screen, press Control + F2.
    • If you use a view that is not made by Apple, see the documentation that came with your monitor to see if it includes built-in controls to adjust the brightness or contrast.

    Change your display resolution

    1. In the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
    2. Click the display icon.
    3. Click default for display. If you see more than one resolution listed, choose a resolution and refresh rate. If the display turns off when you change resolutions, press the ESC key to cancel the change.

If you can not change the resolution of your screen because you see no image, restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.

    Search for software third display

If your monitor only works when your Mac is started in safe mode, and related to the software display is installed, check with the developer of the software for updates, or try to uninstall temporarily.

    {...}

  • Load a component of a Subvi in secondary of a hand of Vi

I know it's possible to load all the Subvi in the subgroup of experts, however, is possible to load a component or an individuall chart a subvi in the vi secondary main iti?

I think you can stop it by focusing on the "sub", just put any VI in a secondary school. You can just put a VI in a secondary, nothing else.

Your problem is maybe just for the redesign of your initial VI to also have a sup Panel which includes a VI showing that your chart VI you will be able to put in any school of different voluntary initiatives.

  • The call of a Subvi without stopping the execution of the main thread

Hello everyone, I have a rather simple demonstration VI, which opens a menu where the user can call a few screws, signal generation, reading and analysis, each contained in a Subvi and with their own front panel and chart controls. The idea is user just click a button and the required Subvi is in charge, I use a structure of the event to ease.

Problem is, after I opened an option, said Subvi hogs the thread of execution and does not allow for new bodies until it is closed (this is inside a while loop it is so logical, I guess), the queue of events and the next before Panel charges only after that I have stop the Subvi. I would like to be able to simply open the front panels and let them run in parallel, without them in the meantime another at the end, is it possible?

    natasftw is right.

A high school is a "hole" in your main panel.  You "insert" a separate VI in this 'hole' and then you see the Panel of VI inserted through the hole and mouse clicks through the hole of the Subvi below.

You will need to run the Subvi separately, even if - by inserting just can't run.

Aynchronous call will begin a Subvi running and then return to the calling thread with the Subvi running in parallel.

You can then insert the Subvi in a secondary, or let it have its own window, as you choose.

There are examples of both techniques.
