Stop audio when navigating

I work in Captivate 5. I have the narrative on each slide and I disabled the playback bar for some very basic navigation buttons. My problem is when the learner clicks to go to the next slide (before the end of the audio on the current slide play), he continues to play when they get to the next slide.

I don't know if there is a setting that I can change, but if there isn't, I guess that I add several variables to my forward and back buttons so that they stop also the audio on the current slide. However, looking through the variables, I don't see how I would do. I'm not particularly strong in the use of advanced actions.

Try to set your audio file to start a fraction of a second AFTER the beginning of the slide and leave a little space at the end as well.  That as well for slides, before and after that you have the problem with.

This prevent the issue?

  • How can I stop audio when you return to slide

    On one of my slides, I have a smart form with click box crept on.  When learners click on the action is: access to another slide.  On the other blade is a close button that navigates back to the last slide visited. When they go back, it restarts the audio.  How can I stop the audio when they return?

    You don't need to click on a smart shape box, it's much better to make a button to the form: http://blog.lilybiri.com/why-i-like-shape-buttons-captivate-6

    Click box has by default a point of suspension at the end of his chronology. If you don't, take a look at accordion Options, where you can uncheck the break.

    A default form button is no break, but you can add a suspension point to the Timing of the shape button accordion.

    A click box, a button, a button of form are intended to trigger an action, they have a break or not. When this action is simple (on the accordion of Actions), and the user clicks top, action will be executed (as something) AND head out of reading, it will continue until the end of the slide, and then go to the next slide. If the action is "Go to the next slide", the images after the suspension point of the form/button/click on the button box will be passed, has not visited.

    Be careful with the navigation to the last visited slide, that you don't get in a loop.

    I have a button that when the user hovers over it, she plays a second exhibit 3 audio.

    which works very well.

    When the user comes out though, the audio is not yet, as if the user hovers over the button several times you get multiple instances of the auduo until they all unfold.

    You can create a function to increase the volume down when the mouse goes off the button and back up when it is over again...

    var volTransform:SoundTransform = SoundMixer.soundTransform;

    buttonInstance.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, muteVolume);

    function muteVolume(e:MouseEvent):void {}
    volTransform.volume = 0; mutes sound

    buttonInstance.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, upVolume);

    function upVolume(evt:MouseEvent):void {}
    volTransform.volume = 1;
    SoundMixer.soundTransform = volTransform;

    WMC in Windows 7 will not play audio without monitor

    I want to choose a playlist, and then play the music with the monitor (plasma screen) is off. But a few seconds after I physically turn off monitor, WMC goes to sleep. He wakes up and starts to play again if I re - turn on the monitor.

    Is there a way to configure WMC to stay awake and continue to play music even if there is no attached monitor, i.e. headless workstation?
    NOTE: I do NOT use a distance of WMC to disable anything.

    This is because device is selected by default. Go into the mixer and select another output device (speakers, for example).

  • How to stop Audio recording when no sound is detected

    Hello friends,

    I want to develop the application which is record audio (implementation of this part, I already had)... but I want to stop recording when device has been not detect any noise over 2 sec audio...

    I already convert the data byte in data short tosigned that is giving me the length of the sound...

    int level = (signedShortToInt (b) * 100 / 32767); b is the data buffer

    mutable public static int signedShortToInt (byte [] b) {}
    result int = (b [0] & 0xff). (b [1] & 0xff)<>
    return the result;
    }

    I'm familiar with the sound of noise of air is in normal recording...

    Air noise level not more than 100 (im guessing).

    so I had checked the voice level is below 100 it will stop recording...

    My idea is correct or not?

    private void jesuissuper (byte [] buffer) {}

    for (int i = 0; i)< buffer.length;="" i++)="">
    Byte [] b = new byte [] {[i] buffer, buffer [i + 1]};
    int level = (signedShortToInt (b) * 100 / 32767);
    If (100 > level) {}
    Voice.StopThread ();
    }
    }
    }

    My Question is... How can I stop the recording when the level is low up to 2 sec and it is the Correctmethod to find the sound level?

    Hello guys,.

    I have not found any Solution for this so I drop this idea...

    I had found my solution up to convert PCM ampltude data... Using the Amplitude level I can is find the noise data and hat is given voice. and stop Audio in usin it

    But not audio recorded in the camera store...

  • Can I stop the slide (text to speech) audio when a legend of quizzes with audio feedback is displayed?

    Hi there, we use text-to-speech on all of our slides, however there is a problem, we have been unable to resolve.  If we have audio on a blade of quiz that this continues to play when the legend of feedback is displayed.  This means that if a learner clicks on the answer quickly, they hear the text on the slide and the text of the caption on top of the other.  How can I stop the slide audio if the legend of feedback is displayed.  We tried shares advanced to "stop audio triggered" and experimented with invisible text captions that have audio added, but have not so far resolved.  Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? Any help gratefully received, thank you so much Janet

    PS We use 8 Captivate with the installed voices text-to-speech

    It is currently a common problem with audio in modules of Captivate quiz slides.

    The configuration options for interactive objects on slides of quiz does not allow the same level of control for audio playback with normal interactive objects on other slides.  (for example to be able to stop the other audio when the user clicks on something).

    The Audio triggered Stop action is often misunderstood.  But as its name makes clear, it only applies to stop an audio clip that was TRIGGERED by another action of the art.  That does not apply to background sound, slide level audio or audio level object.

    My suggestion is that you return to your design and determine which of the two audio clips (sound feedback or slide) you can do without.  Maybe your learners them useless as much as you think.

  • How stop the audio when I get out of the frame AS 3?

    Hello

    Could someone find out how to stop the audio when I get out of the AS 3 mounting frame? I had around 20 slides running in a swf file. Each slide has the distinct voice on attached to it. I added slides in a layer and voice in the next layer on the timeline.

    Ago next and previous buttons placed throughout this swf to navigate between slides. This is where the question arises. I can travel easily from 1 to 20 slides and even can return trip. But the voice does not stop as soon as I click on the previous or next buttons. It overlaps with the next or previous voice just above.

    I searched online and suggested its use as channel to bring voices on the slides to have a better control. But honestly I don't know how to do. Could someone help me in doing this? This problem can be very simple for others. As I am a beginner in Flash and Actionscript, it hurts.

    If your sound is directly on the timeline, then change to Stream will solve your problem, but you need to change every single audio clip.

    For example if VO #1 plays frame 1 to 100, you click anywhere in this layer (where you can see the audio waveform), go to properties and flow the Sync value. If VO #2 play frame of 101 to 200, you must click somewhere in there and do the same thing. Go to the properties, press the Sync drop-down list and change the event to Stream.

    This isn't a level property 'layer '. This is a property ONLY of audio current under your cursor is in. So if you have 500 your, you need to go to each of them and the value Stream Sync event 500 times.

    Hi all

    I'm having a problem with the windows Explorer. When you eject a USB device, windows Explorer stops working and must restart. It also stops working when trying to get the properties of the USB device. I watched "Event Viewer" and there is an error log that says this:

    Recently upgraded to El Capitan, I had that problem for Mail stop unexpectedly when I saw some posts.  I followed the steps and was able to remove the trouble messages.   Now I can't restore the mail window message viewer component.  When I try to catch the separator bar to go back to the left, only half of the small arrow icon and line appears, and it cannot be moved.   Can open the message by double clicking a message viewer.

    Hi there, alicefrompa!

    Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. From your post, I understand that you do not see the Message Viewer box which allows you to read your e-mails; only see you the Inbox that includes a brief overview of the message and are unable to restore access using the separator bars. I have had this happen to my own Mail app and am happy to let you know how I could fix!

    You are really on the right track - you want to roll your mouse over the divider between the Inbox and sections Message Viewer (which should now be on the extreme right edge of your mail window) and drag it to the left.  When you click on the receipt/Message Viewer box, the cursor turns into a line continuous black with a single arrow pointing to the left. When you see the cursor change, click with the left button of the mouse and (while holding down the mouse button in) drag the combination line / arrow to the left. You may need to drag a little further than before to get it. I had to hang mine almost completely in the middle of my Mail app before the display of the message box appeared.

    From there, you should be able to adjust the boxes to your widths you want as expected.

    If you are still not able to get the display of the messages visible after have try this, here are a few more things that you can do.

    1. Press command + O on your keyboard.
    2. Exit the Mail application, and then press on and hold the SHIFT key on your keyboard while reopening.
    3. Restart your Mac by selecting the menu  Apple in the upper right of your screen restart from the menu drop down.

If I tried to turn it on, it would go up to a certain point and then close itself again. It wouldn't light up to accused. The problem occurs with any device I plug. I tested with disks external usb (usb 2 and usb 3), USB, a receiver wireless mouse and a printer/scanner.

    This problem only occurs when something is connected to the USB 3 port. The USB 2 ports on the rear do not have the problem.
