Stop-Motion Video

I am learning the use of the official document for help from Adobe first Elements 8.

I currently work in Chapter 4, "Capture video", "Capture stop-motion and time-lapse video" section-> 'capture stop-motion video.

The help document says so: "in the capture Panel, select Stop Motion.

Unfortunately, there is no element of 'Stop Motion' on input panel (see screenshot).

My video camera is Samsung SMX - C10.

1 is for my camcorder to capture stop-motion video?

If Yes, what steps should take to capture stop-motion with my camera?

If not, what types of cameras/cameras are able to capture the stop motion?

2. is it possible to edit a stop-motion video offline, i.e. first film all the images that are needed without the camera is connected to the computer, and then modify the clips of shooting?

Hi Itay,

The attached screenshot is the media Downloader. It is not the Capture window. It seems that your camera is either a hard drive based camera or use an SD card. In these cases, you can transfer files via the PRE Media downloader.

For the screenshot, your camera must be a camera function and must be connected to the computer via a fireware cable or you can use it if you have a webcam.

So, with your camera, you will not be able to use Stop Motion.

I hope that helps!

  • I need to downgrade from 13 to 12 of the elements as the capture of live animals stop motion is not available in 13

I bought the beam of the student teacher with Premiere elements 13 Amazon to create stop motion capture of live animals with my grandchildren. I also asked my school district upgrades to version 13 by the end of this school year and thought I would get a head start before teaching this high school 300 or more each year.  I am beyond amazed that a major feature would have fallen just! I'm so disappointed that I am not able to create Lego videos this summer but happy it happened now rather than starting to teach a unit to 5 classes of grade 9 students in the fall!

I downloaded and try to install 12 - who still has the ability to capture stop motion, but the number 13 of the series does not work in the lower version. Decommissioning of software should not be a problem, ESPECIALLY when there is no document indicating what functions have been removed. 12 is the version that I need my grandchildren before leaving next Wednesday so I can show them how to use stop motion to create Lego videos as they saw in the movie of Lego. They leave the 22! I had ZERO customer service help. They said to go somewhere else even if it will cost you twice as much. Get the teacher limits delivery where the software can be obtained. This frustration is the direct result of Adobe NOT publishing features that have been removed and so good practice business and ethics to ensure that the client can low-grade downgrade without extra charge.

Why on earth would Adobe remove this feature? The only Lego movie generated a HUGE increase is children are interested in creating their own videos of stop motion. Yes - I know there are a couple dedicated stop motion video editors, but the capacity for the creation of the great diversity of types of Visual communication was the thing that I liked the most on Premiere Elements. My class is one semester - I only teach introduction level non-linear video edition and hope I can help students to discover a new passion or start thinking about a future career. What were you thinking and can help me down grade my personal copy of 13 to 12? PLEASE...

    Have you seen the following?

Removed the unsupported file formats and features. Adobe Premiere Elements 13

    Whatever it is.

As John mentioned, this isn't Adobe. Instead a user. Here visitors like you. It is highly unlikely that Adobe will exchange the purchased license and the serial number of 13 with version 12. It sells no more than 12. And this conclusion is even more true since you have not bought Adobe. The policy was - if you buy the product as a download from Adobe, within 30 days of purchase you can return/refund request. If you buy elsewhere, you are governed by the seller's return policy, in your case, Amazon. In these conditions, any risk of counterparty is supposed to come from Amazon.

And he might even have in stock the old product you are looking for?

Nothing of what I have just mentioned must contact Adobe Customer Service and possibly Adobe for education. But I want to give my impression of what you face. The phone number of the Adobe Customer Service, which can be obtained from Google Search is 1-800-833-6687. I have not found a link Adobe Chat online I thought would be ideal for the type of situation you present.

  • Keep the images centered in Stop Motion?

Hey all, I make a stop motion video and I was wondering if there was a way to keep a center point. In my case, a piece of paper. Here's what my project is:

I recorded the music, now I'm going and shoot a video in front of a greenscreen. I edit the video in the first, key on the green in sequels, and then export that. Go back to the first for and I export images of 12 frames per second. So now I got the images, after photoshopping them in black and white with a half tone, I'm going to be print each frame and take pictures of them in different places.

These pieces of paper with each image on this subject, I want to stay focused as possible throughout the video. Is there a way I can do it with a certain effect or technical change? is made in another program like after effects or using measures/batches to all photos at once in photoshop (if so, I'll ask there if you can help ) or does do everything with each picture of the document as centered as possible with the camera?

    Thanks for your time!

If I have it working on my desk...

I would like to start by creating a mask that marks my favorite

alignment for images in the frame, put the mask on

two layers, lock it and align the images layer on a sub.

    Edit:

Also, I would do this in After Effects, instead of the first.

PR is good for the implementation of your sequence, Ae better for compositing.

Use Dynamic Link to send your Pr sequence to Ae and line up there.

  • Stop Motion

I have a widows Vista computer, and I'm trying to sreate a stop-motion video. I took photos 5089, and I don't know how to create a stop-motion with them.

I know how to use the function "create slideshow", but when I use it, the video ended very nervous. I would like to know if there is a way to import images and apply union-stripping for them.

I know that if you take a picture by hanging your camera to the computer, you can easily make a clean stop motion with onion-skinning, but is possible to do with the photos that I already have?

    Thank you

    Joshua

    P.S. I have Adobe Premiere Elements, 1, 2, 4, 7, 9 and 10

OK, who becomes closer to more common use of the term.

First of all, to do real onion in pre will be painful, but can be done. It is MUCH easier in Adobe Flash and with a Script, can also be done in Adobe After Effects. I have seen that recently from Script.

Pre, you first want to turn off the display of the Audio tracks. Even if you will use them later, turn off their display now. You want at least two video tracks, and making them one above the other, with no Audio track between the two will benefit.

Now, after having decided on the length, what works for you, start with the first Clip and create a "ramp" with keyframes for opacity, so that you go somewhere between 0% and 10% (experiment here, but I guess 10%), then quickly up to 100% and then down the desired %, say 10%. Now, Rt-click on this element, with the opacity of the keyframes, and then select copy. Then, select all the other Clips, Rt-click and choose the attributes of the dough, so that everyone now this same ramp opacity keyframes. This is where the work begins. You want to alternate 1 video track 1, then move the Clip 2 video Track 2 and boost, so that it overlaps the Clip 1, by the length of this ramp to opacity. Clip 3 is still on the video from track 1, so you only need to push, until its ramp aligns with the ramp on Clip 2. Clip 4 will have access to the video Track 2 and be pushed too long. Rinse and repeat.

I recommend working at a very high level of zoom on the timeline and would also make vertical zoom (click + drag on the edge of the video tracks to develop) on tracks too. Leave Clip Keyframe display on, to help you align the Clips, alternating between those on Video track 1 and 2 video track. Be patient.

If you have Adobe After Effects, I'll try to find that Script, that basically automates the track (layer in AE) and moving the Clips.

    Good luck

  • Export video in stop motion crashes to first pro

    Hello

I usually use Premiere Pro to edit film, but were invited to create a film in stop motion using a series of JPEG files. I created the film and now wishes to export but whenever I do the Premiere Pro crashes (Premiere Pro has stopped working and must be closed etc etc.)

I tried to clean the database cache, but that had no effect.

    Thanks in advance.

How you export your video? You directly through first or the Adobe Media Encoder queue? What format and parameters you export with? In addition, you have your JPEGs imported as a sequence of images or they are individually visible in your timeline?

  • The best editor for lego stop motion?

I wonder if once the effects or first pro is the best for lego stop motion. I know the first is intended to compose a film/video, but stop motion is essentially just images (and sometimes video) do you think I can use AfterEffects for effects and video composition? Or should I buy both. Remember that stop motion is different from a video or film. There a few video clips and many photos. Any advice? I can only buy one.

A film is edited together into a NLE such as Premiere Pro, and then effects are added in software like After Effects compositing.

You'll cut your punches together in first, then AE allows to make the special effects shots.

You can do some basic masking in first, so that you do not even have AE.

  • Question about animation in stop motion

I recently asked by a client company if I can do a demo of video animation for a software suite that it plans to sell.

For refrence it gave me very frequently seen dropbox introductory video and UPS whiteboard commercials. (Ethier style will work for him)

Did someone experienced in this type of animation? I have several designers at my disposal and I would like to know the workflow for the project in first pro. Even more important is adobe software for this kind of application or adobe offers another solution for this problem of workflow.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    PrPro may well make Stop-Motion.

    • The first choice will be the duration of stills. I used between 03 and 10 frames, according to the "feel" you want.
    • Set the duration under Edition > Preferences
    • While there, set the duration of the Transition on about 1/2 the length of Stills chosen. Again, a little experimentation is paid.
    • Choose melted chained as default Transition
    • I would still Images scale to match your sequence (here, if no video is used, it would be by your output) size of the image to reduce overhead
    • Landline number of your Image in order
    • Import still Images
    • Make sure that the order is in order, for example ___0001 via ___9999
    • Select them from the project Panel
    • Automate to sequence and check the settings

Hope that helps and I would work with small batches of images first, just to make things like the length and duration of Transition where the client and you want them to be.

    Good luck

  • Record Stop-Motion Clip

I repeatedly read the instructions for making videos of stop motion using first Elements 8.  I understand that when you close out of the box as you shoot your footage, a dialog box appears asking you to save the clips as a single unit.  However, whenever I close this, nothing happens, and I lose my images.

I tried the function that captures each clip to the timeline as you film, but it makes things very awkward when I want to organize and reorganize my scenes.

How can I save my 'scenes' that I filmed so that work with them will be a much easier task, hassel-free?

Group you a series of clips of:

    • Shift selecting them
    • right click
    • Click Group

  • How to stop Motion 5 to rename the items?

How to stop Motion 5 to rename the items?

For example, I have a folder named "Box" inside this folder are 5 additional folders and in these files are text and circles/squares etc.  Once I have copy and insert the name of the parent is "copy of zone 1", the names of children is now "copy print"1", 1 paper copy etc, and children are also name with a copy to the front and a number in the back.  If you like 50 items in the folder, you need to go to each name and remove the copy, then move to the back of the name and remove the number.  That would make 100 corrections.  If you duplicated "Box" 10 times that would be 500 times I have to delete the copies and 500 times I have to delete the number.  I am an organized person and I do not confuse names like "copy paper 27.

    I only want that this

    'Copy of movement case 12-11'

    to look like this

    "Movement block 12.

It takes a lot of time to remove the copy at the front and out the number on the back of name.

In Autodesk Maya 3D they do something similar, it turns 'apples' in 'pasted apples 1 ", so created a script that deletes all the text"stuck"in the name and number on the back the text name.

I think it's a pretty silly renaming procedure.  Adds text to the front and rear.  Makes me wonder where they got their education.

    David

David, for starters I can't duplicate what you describe, where things are added to the front and back automatically, you may need to clarify some things.  Looks like what you're saying is you have Group in movement named "Box" If you copy and paste the group, the name of the new group is "copy of copy of box?  Or you add 'Copy from' before the name of the Group at some point before making a copy/duplicate of the Group?

Movement, like the Finder and many other applications, will add an object in double with 'copy', then add numbers after that. The structure of renaming seems simple enough. For example:

    1. start by a group of layers / named 'box '.

    2. copy and paste "Box" will give you "Box copy.

3 copy and paste 'Copy of box' will give you «box copy 1"»

My tests, if "copy" part of the name at the end, only the numbers will be added and increase gradually.  I think that if you get something like "Box copy copy" you have added manually "copy" at the beginning of the name, which is the only way that I could reproduce what you describe. If you don't want to have to remove 'copy' twice, don't start a layer name or "Exemplary" program group. Motion is probably not check if the copy is at the beginning, at the end.

For what is a way of not having a copy or a number added to the end, it is not a.  It is probably a requirement of how the movement initially creates duplicates of layers/groups and make sure, that it is not destroy the existing layers. This is probably the best. This is similar to the creation of the records or documents in the Finder, just moving, you can go back and rename multiple items with the same name once they are created. If you are uncomfortable with writing scripts, sounds like you are, maybe it's a good option, otherwise you will have to do some manual changes as you go.

  • Last week, Firefox has stopped reading videos - gives just a white screen.

Last week, Firefox stopped play videos from Facebook. I just get a black screen. Update conflict?

Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

You can check the problems caused by the recent updates to Flash 11.

Maybe a bug in the new version?  Does anyone else know this?

    Thank you!

Many people complain when they reach around in the dark watching a movie they press and cause the movie ff or rwd.

I think that this version tried to improve the situation by requiring the user to press and release the button then slide as formerly.

I have a 6 s iPhone and when I got it two days ago, I was able to take slow motion videos but now I can't. The only options I have for camera's picture, square, pano and time are deciduous. Why can't I take videos or slow motions?

  • YouTube audio plays double in a tab and we always play when I stop the video

I play Youtube videos, play audio even twice with slightly delayed in the meantime. If I stop the video play continues. I don't know about this problem.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
    • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

    Thank you.

  • My laptop HP Pavilion g7 stopped playing videos online

After installing Microsoft updates, my HP Pavilion Notebook PC (Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit) g7 stopped playing videos.

If I try to play a video on YouTube, the following error message appears: an error has occurred. Please try again later.  If I try to play a video on another site, nothing happens.

I tried a system restore and regained the ability to watch videos - until I installed updates.  (Try the system restore worked a couple of times, but not more).  Now, there is no system restore points which act to restore the ability to watch videos online.  (I can still watch videos that are saved on my hard drive).

    Any suggestions?  Thank you!

    Hi David,

I bet you would be absolutely HORRIFIED by what I don't know such things.  (Thanks for the reminder.  I use IE as a 'Back-Up' in the future.

In addition to my ignorance, I have another excuse for you: I've been wasting your time.

It turns out that, once that you helped me to understand that the problem was with Firefox, I have learned that others have had the same problem.

In the case where another computer challenged inquirer has this problem, here is the solution that worked for me:

If RealPlayer is installed, try this first
Disable Internet download registration & RealPlayer

    Launch RealPlayer
Click on the RealPlayer icon in the upper left of the window and choose Preferences.
Download & recording, choose the left panel
Uncheck the box "Enable Web download & recording for these browsers installed"
    Click OK and close RealPlayer
    Restart Firefox

This will remove the extension of the registration of the RealPlayer browser from the Firefox Add-ons Manager.
Tip: As an alternative to the extension of the RealPlayer browser record, you can try the Easy YouTube Video Downloader or one of the other amazing Firefox Add-ons.

Thank you for your time and help!  Bravo!  Problem solved!

  • How to start and stop the video capture in a state machine

    Hello

I am a student of neuroscience and this is what I try to do: 1) trigger a camera to GigE (200 FPS), 2) start the video capture, 3) triggers a light that stays on for x milliseconds, 4) trigger a valve that will blow an air puff, 5) stop the tone and the valve at the same time and 5) stop the video capture 1 second after 4). For this, my VI is a state machine, with a State for each trigger (ex, 1 State for trigger camera 1 State of light of trigger, ect) and a statement to "stop" and a "time-out State." Everything worked except the video acquisition - the program could trigger the camera but only acquire a frame, because it was not running in a while loop and this is my first question: for an acquisition video is it always necessary to have a while loop?
I guess the answer is Yes, so I built a loop of 'consumer' for the camera. A queue of the pre-trial 'trigger camera' in the loop of producer, I was then able to start the video capture, but now the problem is to stop it at the right time. I have an another queue in the State of 'stop' in the loop of the producer, but is not able to start the State 'stop' in the loop of consumer, I think that maybe it's because the loop of consumer gets "stuck" in the whole loop.

I hope you can help me, the VI is attached. Thank you!

    Hello

First of all, in your loop producer: STATE 'Stop', you use the flushing line, then there is no need to use 'item queue at the opposite end. You can use the enqueue function.

Secondly, you said "I moved the command stop inside the while loop as you said, but it did not work. But if you look closely, you moved "Enqueue function" inside the while loop. Instead you should use Dequeue function. Please, look at the picture I posted an orderly manner.

And remove the circled (i.e. function. Enqueue function loop of consumption, where I wrote 'Why stop here').

    Try now.
