Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

See "basic troubleshooting: a new profile:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

    • YouTube seems to be blocking the use of Firefox on 2015-01-08, let me (ATTACH) a screenshot.
    • I see that the default search engine (alias "recipes) for Firefox Google/YouTube, Yahoo has recently changed.

This is due to the extension of the masking Agent, sending deliberately incorrect sites on the browser you use. I don't know if the extension allows you to make an exception for youtube.com and ytimg.com in order to work around the problem. If this isn't the case, you may need to disable the extension.

You can manage on the page extension modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then find Agent masking and check for that option button. This is also where you would turn it off.

(Often a link appears above an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click on the last step.)

As far as I know, your default search engine is invisible to Web sites, so this probably isn't a problem. Or do you want to make a change here? This article has the steps: use the Firefox search bar.

As I said before, open a modal window does not stop execution of the current procedure. If you need this behavior, put your modal window and all its components in another form module and use CALL_FORM to open this form. Then the execution stops at the CALL_FORM statement and and will continue after the CALL_FORM when you leave the form called.

  • New tab doesn't seem to work after the last update. Please fix this

After the last update, I was not able to open a new tab (if using the menu FILE > new tab or by pressing CTRL + T). I use windows 8.1 SL 64-bit. When I restore the old version, the new tab feature seems to work.

This problem may be caused by an extension that is not working properly.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • After the upgrade to Firefox 9, it seems I've lost the bookmarks on my toolbar section. How can I recover them?

I chose, unfortunately, to update my Firefox to a newer edition (9) and after the reboot, I noticed that my regular upper toolbar on my homepage (TimeWarner RoadRunner) seemed totally different and is more contained my "bookmarks" tab, where I had stored dozens and dozens of important bookmarks. How can I get that back, or if necessary go to my old version of Firefox and restore my settings previus and features?

    Hi lombardo.

Looks like the Bookmarks Toolbar - view your Web Favorites at the top of the Firefox window is just hidden. There is an easy solution. Just right-click in the space next to a label. On the shortcut menu that appears, enable the bookmarks toolbar.

    Hope this helps!

  • Empty office after the connection of Windows 7

My Sony Viao on February 8 on a PC running Windows 7 crashed with a black screen and message of rolling on the invalid security credentials.  Restarting I couldn't access the desktop after login screen.  My account has administrator access.  The Task Manager does not work.  Safe Mode boot gave the same result.  I tried restoring the system (failure) and startup repair (impossible to repair - given "bad password" error).

I suspected a virus or malware attack so worked methodically through a wide range of software and antivirus malware bootable CD, including Kasperky, Hiren, MBAM etc.  After all this, I have access to my office in Mode safe mode but not in normal mode.

A reference on the internet suggested disable UAC completely.  I did it in Mode without fail and after that restart was able to access my account in normal mode.  Reset the UAC on any level above off translates into the back of the problem - no office, just a black screen with the mouse cursor.  Can anyone offer other advice that I prefer not to run with UAC disabled at any time.

    Hi Pierre

Thanks for your reply.  I went through the information on Bootrec and then used, but it has not solved the problem I have with my Win 7 Home Premium log on.  I finally found that, with UAC, although I could log in with my normal administrative account, I could not connect with a standard account.  He returned immediately to the Security screen.  I did some checking of the event logs and concluded that the error was:

The Windows logon process has failed to spawn a user application.Application name: . Command line parameters: c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe.

I pushed back from the UAC on failure and tried to connect with my normal account, then check the error logs again in safe mode and it is the same.  Searching the Internet to find out how to fix this error identified that it was a file permissions problem and I finally found a repair tool to reset back to default Windows permissions.  I ran yesterday, and the problem was solved.  Now I can access all my accounts with UAC.  I have no idea what caused the problem, but now, everything seems to work ok.

  • How can I get the changes to the office using the stick to Firefox?

Have a new computer with Windows 8.1. Put Mozilla by using Internet Explorer. Finally able to turn off the Explorer to avoid their default values, but by default the display of Mozilla understand programs that I don't want. Cannot turn them off. I want to use MyYahoo homepage, and even if the program keeps asking me if I want it to be registered, and my answer is YES, when I close and reopen it goes back to the default values. How can I get what I put to stay put? Thank you.

You can see the attached screenshot: it's the integrated Firefox 28 homepage. Is this the one that comes up, or something else?

If the problem is that the homepage integrated returns...

There are some security/utility programs that cancel the changes made to the settings of your browser. This is to protect you, but obstruction also make changes, you want to do. There are also some malicious programs that will do this.

    (1) check your Windows Control Panel, uninstall a program (or equivalent) to ensure that you don't have what we call research protect. If you find it, delete it. You can also do a few scans of additional malware. See: Firefox troubleshooting problems caused by malware.

    (2) If you have Advanced SystemCare, disable surf Protection feature. Check your security software to something similar like homepage Protection, browser Protection, etc.

    (3) see this article for more information on other known issues: How to fix preferences that will not save.

If a different page is loading...

The problem may be caused by an add-on, specifically, an extension. Even if you have not yet installed modules, Firefox will find those that other software had already placed on your system, so it is useful to check.

Open to the top of the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off.

Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    Any improvement?

Fault strike; should be "how to restore him organize bookmarks... selection." Also, this selection does not exist when I manually change Firefox to show the new tab menu orange "Firefox" in the upper left of the Firefox window.

Select "Show all bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu. It performs the same function that "organize bookmarks" used for.

  • Laptop stops shortly after the start.

I have a slight puzzle on my hands. I was working on a DV5-1012EA which had a damaged palm rest/touchpad. I found a replacement and very well equipped. I had the laptop works well and decided to run windows update. Everything seemed fine, but after a reboot (which seemed normal after a windows update) it was decided to close. I tried a few reboots but no joy.

I then used a recovery disk but it was in the middle of the second "loading files" and he stopped.

I ran the diagnostic test of the system via the ESC menu and fine tested memory, it stop at Midway through the HARD drive test.

I tried to boot up a Linux live disk with no HARD drive, but once more, it has failed.

I booted into the BIOS, but after 3 minutes it stop new

I tried different hard disks and memory, but it makes no difference. The system just stops.

What a coincidence it occurred after the Windows Update? I changed the material so any conflict caused by the update wouldn't be here.

I can't think it is overheating of the CPU or GPU, and that is why he stops? Maybe all the work of dismantling the until that replace the touchpad/palmrest dislodged the thermal/thermal heatsink paste?

Please can someone advise me because I want to make this thing run again and return to my friend?

    Thanks in advance

    Changy

    Hello

Yes, as I mentioned in my original post, I booted into the BIOS, but it turns off after 3 minutes. It's what made me suspect overheating. It was very quick to stop if open windows, but slower with the BIOS that requires less work CPU.

I have removed the radiator and check the thermal paste. I'll remove it and use the new thermal paste just to be sure

    Thank you

  • Multisim 12 - by clicking on the button "stop the simulation", does not seem to turn off the circuit

    Greetings.

I recently installed 12 Multisim and have not changed the basic operational parameters, I know...

Shortly after installation, the application is an update.

Your help is apprecaited to understand what is happening...

    Steps to recreate:

    1. start multisim.

    2. open a very basic circuit that includes a battery 10V with the ground, a lamp, a voltmeter between the lamp and an ammeter in series.

    3. use 'switch' at the top right of the appliation multisim window to run the simulation.

4 lamp shows a 'enlightenment' and voltmeter indicates 10V and ammeter indicates .1a circuit.

    5. use the switch to stop the simulation.

    6. no change in the circuit or lighting of the lamp measures.

    7. same results if the simulation starts the arrow and the red square are used to start and stop.

If I close it and reopen it circuit, the circuit begins in the OFF state, but will not OFF If when you select stop simulation.

This is the case with several circuits, those provided by the College and the other that I created based on the same design.

Multisim restarting has no effect to correct this observation.

It doesn't seem normal that when the simulation running, values or apparent lamp lighting does not change.  The simulation doesn't have to go back to the start state (OFF) when I stop the simulation?

I captured the homerun status after stopping the simulation.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Zan

    Hi zanzarista,

Multisim retains the values for everything in the circuit when the simulation is stopped. Which means that you are able to view the values on your instruments (such as multimeters) even after the termination of the simulation. When you start a simulation once again, starts all over again and that's why you see a 0 momentarily.

It is the way in which the software is intended to work.

    I hope this works.

  • Error "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" seems to have led to big problems...

Last night, I was watching a video on my computer and it froze for a minute, and I got the error "display drivers is not responding and have now recovered." I was a little confused, but this allowed me to continue to play the video. I played it again, and 5 minutes later, I had the same thing. He continued, the case most often. Thereafter, whenever I went to play the video, he froze.

It seems to get worse and worse - the computer has finally restarted itself and made a sort of "Scan disk", which took about 10 minutes. I was hoping this would be the cure but after it loaded up, it happened to go to a blue screen and stop again. This happens everytime I turn on the machine now, a blue screen and it will restart.

I noticed that whenever I rebooted the computer, the image quality is degraded (i.e. the random colored lines on the screen). It was late, I therefore stop the machine and went to bed. I just started the computer this morning and opened in Mode without failure. This time he opened, however the picture quality was terrible - worse than ever. Multicolored lines all over the screen - I could hardly read the text on the screen, so I shut it down again.
I now type on PC to my parents because my is pretty useless.
Anyone has any idea what it could be? Or what I could do to fix it? This was happening to anyone else? This problem is related to the initial error message "display driver"?
Thanks in advance for your answers,
    Jay.

Of what you said is probably a problem with your graphics card. It could be the problem hardware or software problem. If it's software problem then it could solve more easily. You could start here:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-monitor-and-video-card-problems

But if it is the hardware problem, then you should contact the manufacturer of your computer or you need to replace the graphics card.
