Stopping at 7 Captivate PowerPoint animations

I am importing a 7 Captivate powerpoint .pptx.  This powerpoint contains animations that are timed with a narration, which was added after powerpoint had been imported.  However, the animations appear to pause or 'stuck' in the points of same each time.

The animations have been added after the import, and I also tried to create a new project with the new powerpoint file which contained animations.  PowerPoint has also been imported to aid high-fidelity, imported with slides to the click and imported a different time in a new project with slides to proceed automatically.  Animations in powerpoint are set to play automatically (after the previous rather than click) and work very well in powerpoint.  Audio has been added and removed to see if the audio was a problem.  I previewed the project (F4) and published in an .exe file to test, but nothing seems to work - the animations continue to suspend the environment animation each time.  However, the animations seem to work when previewing just the individual slide (F3)

Any ideas or suggestions, why this is happening?

Thank you!

Diana

Hi Margiotta,

Your "buttons" are pausing the slide to 1.5 sec. Change the "timing" so that they break later.

How suspend you inside Captivate swf animation? I want my movie to pause when I press the button to pause in captive the navigation bar. Stop the main timeline, but I also want my animated movie to pause. It's really maddening. You would think this would be a common thing to do.

What Captivate version do you use?

I remember an option labeled "Synchronize with project" that can affect that.

  • Publication of Captivate with animation inserted as a single file

    Hello world
I hope someone can confirm if Captivate is or is not able to publish an animation swf inserted into the main swf of CP.

Here's the situation, I publish a Captivate swf without borders file so that a single main swf file is generated. But there's a little swf animation inserted on a slide in the main Captivate movie that is published in a second swf file. Our client uses a very basic LMS called Brainshark, which is actually a PPT reader and will not accept a CP swf by slide. Therefore, the inserted in Captivate swf animation to be included in the main when CP swf file published.

Anyone know if this is possible? Personally, I think it is not possible with Captivate 3 but hope to confirm if it one way or another.

Thanks for any assistance with this issue.
    Charlotte

    Hi Charlotte

You must ask the Flash developer to produce animation in Flash 6. Flash 7 might work, but I would choose 6 to be on the safe side.

Then when you file your Captivate, ensure you produce targeted Flash 7.

  • PowerPoint animations stop playing in the browser

Hi, I hope someone has an explanation for it.

I use 7 Captivate and have imported a PowerPoint 2010 presentation that contains an animation into four parts (text and photo shots). However the animation plays correctly in Powerpoint and when tested in captivate. When I test it in the browser (IE10) will accompany him to animation to play but then its suddenly stops and needs with a single click to complete.

    I find it very strange.

Anyway thanks Bill but I have now fixed this.

It's a button with a break after 1.5 seconds. I place it as it has been grouped with the other buttons.

  • Captivate 8 - animated text stops at halfway through the game

I've created a presentation with CAP8 and find the animated text does not play in its entirety, but stops at half way through.

for example, animation type [email protected] and then on a new line in the same text box [email protected]

Preview slide it works perfectly. It runs behind the scenes of five next overview and publication all [email protected] and then hangs after typing johnbe

In fact, it stops the video, it seems, as I hit play to resume, then type the rr and will complement the enamel on a third time hitting play.

I get the same thing on the next slide with two animations three text which are run at the same time and again on the next slide. I want to emphasize that this is not fair on a slide.

I changed the settings in the properties of the 'rest of slide' term"animation", and there is no change. I lengthened the timing just in case it makes a difference, even if I use buttons shape to evolve to the next slide. No change.

    Any suggestions please?

    Thank you

    Claire

There is a button of form having paused a little before 2secs and the other at 2secs. How long is the duration of text? I think he is interrupted by these buttons.

  • Cannot stop recording in Captivate 8, Mac

This seems to be an ongoing, unresolved problem. I tried to change the hotkey to stop recording and trashing the preferences of CP file, but nothing stops short of forcing Captivate quit smoking once started recording. All real solutions?

    Thank you

I had a bit of trouble to know what you mean by "the icon", but there is a flashing icon of CP green on the top screen rightish and clicking on this DO if STOPPED recording. So thank you!

I still wonder why each of the methods documented to stop recording do not work well.

  • Captivate 7 animated GIF not grateful?

I used photoshop CS6 to create a GIF animated from a video clip. using the timeline, I have a file saved in. GIF format and it's clearly an animation. When I insert > animation CV7 says "the file is not an animated GIF file. It starts to become a little ridiculous when you consider that the file has been made using the PS and that it IS an animated GIF. I wonder if there is some kind of 'special' works I need to get them imported or if I'm somehow not recording properly?

Does anyone has had problems with GIF animated in Captivate 7?

    Thanks in advance.

    Jon

the image in question is here:

    60RPM-85.gif

    Hi Jon,

I think it's because the time-out value that you set for each image in Photoshop.

Please go to Photoshop, open the source file, could you please the 'delay' for each of your frame to 0.01 or value if it shows as 0, this can be done using the animation image window. Re-save the GIF format for Web devices and import in Captivate, see, if you're abale to inport this time in Captivate. Even if the step is applicable to a different problem, but I'm curious to know if this could solve.

Second, you could try inserting an image rather than the animation, the message means it is not a full animation, but a regular file.

    Thank you

  • Captivate 6 - Animations and review quizzes

    Hello!

I recently downloaded the trial version of captivate 6. I really liked the look and feel of the software, including new features. I created a project and included animations and the question pool to check. I'm not able to take the solution for the following two issues:

    1. I inserted two files of animation on a slide by adjusting the timeline. When the project is published for the first time, the animation to run correctly. But later, after some changes in the slide, only a single animation is played. Could you please tell me what went wrong?

    2. I created pool question to the project. While in the process of revision Quiz, is it possible to consider only the slides that have received an incorrect answer. Is there any solution for this? If this is possible with any script, could you please post me that.

Please help me. I will be thankful to you.

  • Text in Captivate 6 animations

I installed the 64-bit version of Captivate 6 and cannot add text animations to slides. I assumed it was an installation problem, so I uninstalled, re-downloaded and re-installed the program but the problem persists. As I try to add the object nothing happens...

Text animations created in 5.5 projects play the opening 6. The Properties Panel recognizes it as animations of text, but does not display the other animation effects, so that the effect can be changed...

    Someone else has this problem?

    Mark

Lol I thought that maybe you opened a project of Cp 5.5 in Cp6 and find the animations of text does not work too well here.  The Cp4 Cp5 migration had a similar problem.

In your case, if you can add new text animations Cp6 even to new projects of COP6 empty then the issue has nothing to do with Cp5.5.

The only thing I can say is that maybe you need to trash the Preferences file so that 6 Captivate can recreate a new on the next launch.

There are a lot of discussions on this forum explaining where to find the Preferences folder and how to rename so that Captivate recreates a new.

  • Converted from PowerPoint - animation has extra click on each slide

I have converted a presentation PowerPoint 2003 in Adobe Captivate 4.  Everything works fine except that the published Captivate version has an additional click at the end of each slide.  For example, each slide can have 4 or 5 bullets, but after that the last point is displayed, you must click twice until it moves to the next slide.  Is there a way to get rid of the extra click necessary?  (The clicks are correct in PowerPoint).

    Thank you.

    Hello

Then the inside PowerPoint importing captivate, you have the possibility to choose options slide advance as "manually" and "automatically".

If "click" is checked, then Captivate adds a box click on all slides. This requires an extra click in advance before in the presentation in the published output.

Try to import the PPT Captivate inside with slide advance option defined as "automatically". You can find this option in the dialog 'Présentations Powerpoint Import' that happens after you select a particular import PPT

    Let me know.

  • Next to restless Captivate flash animations

I use Flash animations in Captivate 3. The animations are published for Flash Player 6 before being incorporated in Captivate. The Captivate project is published for Flash Player 9.
The animations look good in the Captivate SWF published when I run the SWF file directly into Flash Player. However, if I run the SWF in a browser (I tried both IE & Firefox, have Flash Player 9.0.45.0), the animations look very slow and jerky. What could be the reason?

    Kind regards
    Mohsin

    Kevin & Rick,

Thanks for your replies. I diagnosed the problem. He had nothing to do with frame rates.
What was actually happening, it's that my Captivate SWF was originally 1024 x 768, but when you open it in an HTML element, I was it NOT load at 100% of its size. Instead, I was loading to 880 x 660 in the my HTML OBJECT tag, which caused the outcome. Even when I was opening the SWF directly using IE, IE would resize the content to display fully, causing the animations play within the scale. This, somehow, makes look jerky.

    See you soon!

  • How can we change the green 'Adobe Captivate"loading animation in a SWF file?

    Hello!

I would like to replace the loading image that I inserted (below) to something else.

It is the loading image that appears when the SWF file loads in a browser.

Does anyone know how to do this?

    Thank you

    Loading.PNG

Go to edit, preferences, project, start and end and the icon of the browser to the right of the Preloader to choose another preloader.
