Next to restless Captivate flash animations

I use Flash animations in Captivate 3. The animations are published for Flash Player 6 before being incorporated in Captivate. The Captivate project is published for Flash Player 9.
The animations look good in the Captivate SWF published when I run the SWF file directly into Flash Player. However, if I run the SWF in a browser (I tried both IE & Firefox, have Flash Player 9.0.45.0), the animations look very slow and jerky. What could be the reason?

Kind regards
Mohsin

Kevin & Rick,

Thanks for your replies. I diagnosed the problem. He had nothing to do with frame rates.
What was actually happening, it's that my Captivate SWF was originally 1024 x 768, but when you open it in an HTML element, I was it NOT load at 100% of its size. Instead, I was loading to 880 x 660 in the my HTML OBJECT tag, which caused the outcome. Even when I was opening the SWF directly using IE, IE would resize the content to display fully, causing the animations play within the scale. This, somehow, makes look jerky.

See you soon!

  • Flash animations will not play in Captivate 5.5

    Ahoy there

    We have recently updated to Captivate 5.5

    For some reason any incorporated flash animations will not play in CP 5.5 they play perfectly fine in preview mode of a slide in CP (F3), but will not play when I publish the project or get a glimpse of the output using F4.

    Flash animations are of different versions of Flash (3 CS, CS 4 and CS 5), and some use AS 2.0, some AS 3.0. The problem is valid for all .swf files

    Does anyone have an idea? This is starting to drive me crazy...

    Please let me know if I have to describe the issue in more detail.

    Hello and welcome to the forum,

    AS2 animations will not play in CP5.5 or 5.0, because it supports only AS3. To explain possible questions, allow us to wait for the Flash gurus, there is a problem with complex animations. Try a search with Google because the search of the forums is not functional at the moment, there are several discussions on this problem.

  • How to adjust the speed of a Flash animation in Adobe Captivate

    I have three Flash animations that have been purchased from istockphoto.com. The animations have been imported into the project in Captivate. When individual slides play in the project, the speed and the time is perfect. When the project is then to publish to preview of all of the project as a whole, all animation speed and play without interruption throughout the desired slide. I don't know how to slow down the animation and to play only once. What are the properties that I need to adjust in order to slow down the animation?

    Only possible problem I see is possible incompatibility between the versions of actionscript. Captivate 5 is AS3 only.

  • Flash animation playing so quickly in the slides

    Hi all

    I imported a flash AS3 annimation in captivate 8, but the docs plays faster than expected. Is there anyway I could get it to normal speed when I play in a flash palyer?

    Thanks in advance.

    Default speed in Captivate is 30 fps, check the framerate of your SWF animation, it's probably lower (default value is 24 frames per second). You change the framerate of the Flash animation up to 30 or you lower the framerate in Captivate to the same value as the animation in front of the post. You can find the framerate in Preferences, project, publication settings

  • 8.1 Windows and IE 11 will not play test the Flash animation

    I am running a fully patched/updated updated copy of 8.1 of Windows and Internet Explorer version 11 (on the desktop)

    If I try to run test movie to http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html , I get the following message:

    Flash.jpg

    I've checked and checked that...

    • Flash Player is enabled
    • ActiveX filtering is disabled
    • Internet Explorer runs the latest version of Flash Player

    Can anyone give me any suggestions as to what I could try to fix this?

    The context in which it was that we have a web site where we have historically used .swf and .flv movies.  A couple of customers have "complained" that they could not see the movies and, when we have tried on Windows 8.1 IE11, nor could I.  This leads me to the Adobe test page, where I only saw the film of test if I have activated the Caompatbility Mode (as you suggest - thank you).

    Our web site will not make .swqf or .flv movies regardless of the mode of Campatibility.  Next, I suppose, is to see if we can at least restore some features - even if it is 'encouraging' users to enable Compatibility Mode.

    SWF and SWQF even become obsolete.  A year ago I stopped using video and Flash animations and moved to HTML5.

    1. they need any plug-ins. Even with IE11.

    2. they are mobile and Internet accessible from more than half of all traffic is now in mobile phones or tablets (which cannot and do not run Flash), it makes no sense to develop content that is invisible for many viewers.

    Compatibility mode is that only a "band-aid" for an important screws upward to MS. HTML5 eliminates the need for Mode of Comaptibility, eliminating the need for plug-in that they SAMU changes inadvertently disable.

  • PHP only performed by the flash animation

    I don't know if it's more a question of php or an actionscript, so I write to two forums about this.

    is there a way to make a php script only executable by a flash animation? I came with a very mild form of security, but it is next to nothing that he uses TO transmit a variable between the two. Basically, flash gives the php variable with a value in the sendAndLoad. the php script, then checks the value of this variable first and dies if it is not correct. It's very simple to solve, so I'm looking for something a little more secure. any ideas?

    I'm not an expert in security, but two thoughts fast here

    1. use amfphp to call your function side server.
    2. check the headers if you use POST. Flash sends a header identifies as a flash application. (Can be spoofed, but a regular browser there are not sent).

  • Navigation button import into Captivate Flash help...

    Hi guys and girls
    I try to get my flash animation imported to interact with a captivate2 lesson im creating.
    This is my first time using flash and Captivate together, and im hating the limitations that Captivate throw at me.
    Basically, I want to pause the captivate movie when chronology hits the flash swf and then resume once the 'flash' button is released.
    I currently have the following script on the first frame of my flash swf:

    _root.rdcmndPause = 1;

    and then I have my button:

    on (release) {}
    _root.rdcmndNextSlide = 1;
    }

    (the flash swf file is an animated flip book)
    Anyone know what im doing wrong?

    Hmm, that's a little crazy...

    {We (Release)}
    stopAllSounds();
    _root.rdcmndNextSlide = 1;
    }

    ActualY works now...

  • Flash animation is not refreshed

    I created a Captivate demo that has a segment of flash in the middle of the animation. This demo was developed for a trade show and was designed to loop so it can be run automatically throughout the day. Plays a lot through the first pass. It is, after it has run once, do not update and play flash animation. That the empty slides are displayed. Same thing if you play the demo, then try to go back to play one of the animated sequences.

    If I hit F5 to refresh the browser it plays. How can I get this animation file to update automatically, it does not require human intervention to refresh?

    Thank you!

    You have your last side to go to slide 1 as your way to repeat? Try to assign to open another project and just point to itself, this will make it reopen the project to go from zero (set it to open in the same window). He will take charge of course, but should work as expected.

  • Publication of Captivate with animation inserted as a single file

    Hello world
    I hope someone can confirm if Captivate is or is not able to publish an animation swf inserted into the main swf of CP.

    Here's the situation, I publish a Captivate swf without borders file so that a single main swf file is generated. But there's a little swf animation inserted on a slide in the main Captivate movie that is published in a second swf file. Our client uses a very basic LMS called Brainshark, which is actually a PPT reader and will not accept a CP swf by slide. Therefore, the inserted in Captivate swf animation to be included in the main when CP swf file published.

    Anyone know if this is possible? Personally, I think it is not possible with Captivate 3 but hope to confirm if it one way or another.

    Thanks for any assistance with this issue.
    Charlotte

    Hi Charlotte

    You must ask the Flash developer to produce animation in Flash 6. Flash 7 might work, but I would choose 6 to be on the safe side.

    Then when you file your Captivate, ensure you produce targeted Flash 7.

  • Flash animations will not play after the flash update

    Hello

    It's really weird, but flash animations on most sites (sites like Ustream) will not play after that I updated the flash player. The funny thing is that on youtube play very well. I've tried disabling the addon of shockwave, relocation, etc., but nothing works. This problem is with firefox only because as the Chrome and Explorer the flash player works fine.

    Thank you.

    Thank you. In fact, it was not necessary because I have disabled protected mode flash and who did it. However, seems like it is not the best option but average tiem, I guess I have no choice.

    Thank you.

  • How to add an audio file to my Flash Animation, recording Audio in QuickTime Player

    I have a Question.

    So I try to add an audio file to my Flash Animation, but the library is like 'NOPE SCREW YOU', for me and I don't know what to do. The Im trying to download the files were recorded with QuickTime Player.

    Info

    QuickTime Player Audio track made from

    Mac Book Air

    Flash CC 2015

    10.9.5 OSX

    Makes m4a files, QuickTime Player, that you can open in iTunes, click on save as MP3.

    But I do not have it. Working with audio in Flash is much more successful if the WAV sound. Use an audio conversion program to a WAV version, use Flash. It may be MP3 in the final swf or the files of the HTML5, but keep as WAV while working on the FLA.

    The converter that I use is this one:

    Audio-Converter on the Mac App Store

    It can also convert to OGG format, which is useful to support Firefox.

    How suspend you inside Captivate swf animation? I want my movie to pause when I press the button to pause in captive the navigation bar. Stop the main timeline, but I also want my animated movie to pause. It's really maddening. You would think this would be a common thing to do.

    I remember an option labeled "Synchronize with project" that can affect that.
