  I suggest you to disable the auto restart to avoid unwanted restarts on the failure of the system and note the error message.

  a. when your computer starts up keep press F8 on your keyboard until you get the Advanced Boot Options screen.

• Acer Aspire V3 771 G with Ubuntu: no screen initially

  After I installed Lubuntu on my Acer Aspire, I have a little problem.

  After booting, the screen keeps dark and every time I have to click on [Fn] + [>] (brightness upward) see the screen.

  Is there a solution (using sudo bash I think) to get the screen immediately?
