• New user Intro and Newbie Question

  I am a retired EE doing volunteer work on small EV and a shot with their support forums.   We got our Fuze 4 GB Dec20 and have been busy, learn to read the loading manual; with our CD and a few loads of electronic music Our first MP3 and our first music downloads and our first copy of CD.  We have about 200 songs on it here in about 1/2 full.

  We bought the "rocket" mainly for use on long car rides, cars with only.. magnetocassettes, the "rocket" have play pre-recorded music, no videos or pictures.  In the car, she plays well through a cassette playing card.  We also have a kit from Amazon with cable replacement, home and car charger and reading at home through our extension for laptop speakers.

  The home computer is Vista a monster with power, storage and media player 12 mucho.  The laptop drive HP (shhh so it wont hear) is on his last 6 months, is a xp sp2, a little slow and low power, does not have the last hispeed USB - but will make music loads slowly, 7 years old, just upgraded to version 12 of player, but goes on a trip by car for a temporary job for us.   We leave for a big job in a few days.

  I upgraded my version 2.2.28 rocket as soon as I got it.   The only problem we had with the "rocket", another that he lose because its if little, is incompatible game volume back.  I don't know if this dad nothing to do avec.28.

  The question is;

  with my trip computer and my new fuse, I don't want any problems on the road.  I can solve the problem of volume, as all of the volume controls. And I know that it is just an entertainment device, is not a GPS - although I can read maps quiet well.  I wasn't looking to learn a new hobby, just to give my wife a plate of electronic reading.  She is not a techie great, better than most retireees tho.

  So, can I stay in the fairly reliable 2.2.28 with my use and do not have to use my old laptop doing troubleshooting, or should I return to 2.2.26 my rocket came with before leaving? What is 6-1, against half a dozen of the other?

  Edit: it struck me that the rocket was a player of PSG 'juke box' mode, and to install a file, it must be in MSC "disk file format" mode, as the firmware is not music, it's a file.  This is why when you try to drag and drop a 'file' in Jukebox mode, it won't let you.

  Hi all

  Small question. I recently bought a new Macbook Air and wanted to download Pages as my word processor. I saw that it was $ 19.99 in the Mac App Store, and I was OK with it, so I downloaded. Now, when I click on 'Bought' applications in the App Store, it mentions Keynote, iMovie, GarageBand, and numbers and download Pages. From then on, I only installed the list Pages because it was everything I wanted in the first place. I get charged for all of these applications? I checked for an e-mail confirmation or a charge on my card and nothing arises again. I get all free?

  I deleted all caches and download files as well as any unused applications.

  It is not really that much on the computer so I'm a little shocked by the message.

  I also downloaded and ran clean my mac 3, no change.

  This will be my first post on this forum.

  A couple of weeks ago, I bought a Toshiba SATELLITE CL10-B-103 for my son. The CL10-B-103 has installed Windows 8.1. Tonight I plan to make the installation of the Windows 10 upgrade because Windows 8.1 announced that he was ready for the upgrade.

  The trial progressed slowly but smooth and without problems until now... As the laptop is equipped with only an HD 32 GB the trial upgrade was informed that I had to stick a USB key. After that, the trial continues slowly but smoothly, but who did not question because I had all night. However after the first reboot of the system when he was about 60 or 66% of installation of process this error message showed: place the external storage and press OK. It's very strange since the key USB has been removed at all and was still in the system. It is strange, is that both the OK button as the Cancel button are not selectable. Without passing by the touchpad, not a tab or an entry.

  Some community online Windows 10 post mentions that, via the BIOS, the system must be initiated from this USB key. I tried to reboot the system with DEL, F2 or F8, but I couldn't get into the BIOS and wasn't able to change the boot sequence.

  After each "restart" the same error message appears. It does not matter that the USB is in it or not.

  So, my conclusion is that my CL10-B-103 is suspended/East in a loop. I don't know how to proceed.

  The problem seems to be resolved. When I was able to use the touchpad I could push the OK butten and the upgrade product now.

  There is a work around:

  Export your IE Favorites to an HTML file, and then import it into Firefox. If you have questions more do not hesitate to ask.

• missing loops in Logic 10.2.1 and download failure

  question of part 2...

  QUESTION 1: WHERE ARE MY MISSING LOOPS? HOW CAN I FIND THEM, RETRIEVE THEM, DOWNLOAD THEM?

  (1) my logic Pro 10.2.1 (updated 20/01/16) is missing a bunch of loops from the loop browser.  They are grayed out and will not play.

  For example, these loops are grayed out:

  "Amazing" spoken

  'Attention' spoken word

  Asian gamelan 01

  Asian gamelan 02

  03 Asian gamelan

  04 Asian gamelan

  Asian gamelan 05

  Asian gamelan 06

  but Asian gamelan 07 thru 21 are NOT grayed out, they are beautiful!

  I know that these missing loops were working in Logic 9. Recently, I deleted Logic 9 since I haven't used since getting Logic Pro X in November of 2015.

  I probably have these missing on my Time Machine backup loops if all the missing loops were present in Logic 9.

  But in the last days (before the release of 10.2.1) I made sure I had downloaded all additional content for Logic Pro X. And it showed as "installed".  Then after getting 10.2.1 today, I tried to download ANY extra content again. IT all downloaded fine, except for "" Download All Additional sounds '... "  (See Question 2).   So question 1 is: WHERE ARE THESE MISSING LOOPS?  IF YOU DOWNLOAD ALL THE ADDITIONAL CONTENT FOR 10.2.1 SHOULDN'T ALL MY LOGIC LOOPS 9 (IN PARTICULAR THOSE LISTED ABOVE) APPEAR AND WORK?

  QUESTION 2: WHY DOES "Download All Additional sounds" (only 18.3 MB) systematically omitted, 5 seconds remaining, with a fake message "check your internet connection"?

  After graduating 10.2.1 I made sure I downloaded all the extra content. It shows installed, with a

  exception: when I try to "Download All Additional Sounds", it downloads right up to the mark of 18.3 MB, (which is the total size to download).

  with 5 seconds left, but then always (tried 10 times) fails with this message: "Logic Pro X could not complete the download. Check your internet connection and try to download again. "The internet connection is fine and not at all abandoned.  I checked all options 'go to sleep' are on 'Never', and I ran check permissions and repair permissions in disk utility.

  I see in the release notes that the programming to download additional content has been changed to 10.2.1.   I can't help being suspicious

  There is a kind of too aggressive code that is causing this failure of the download.  But I can always try again in the morning.  It is only

  18.3 MB for the "Complete Sound Library", all the other many GB of extra content download OK, they all show "installed".  I'm only

  of the problems (that I can't fix) with the option 'Download All Additional sounds.

  I had grayed out like many loops "re-index all loops" in the menu at the top of the loop browser it cured me.

  My previous phone was a HTC and with which I could buy and download movies from HTC Watch. In this way, I could see the movie offline whenever I had fun.

  You can buy movies and tv programs from the game store. You can read about Play Movies & TV. This app is in the app drawer. They also have a feature that will let you download the movie for consultation offline. I bought a couple of tv series and it works fine. They also have rentals, you can get as well. You can rent a movie for $3-4 for a period of 24 hours.

  As far your internet connection goes, are you talking about using the phone to give your computer internet service or the computer giving the internet phone service?

• WinXPsysytem: The upgrade and have questions

  Have a dell e521 that I train and some questions.  Have already updated to 3 GB of memory on x 86 operating system.  Bios version active what 1.1.6 4/7/2007.  Have checked Dells site and they offer a version of bios 1.1.11 released on 04/09/2007.  Having checked their previous versions and mine is not yet in there.  Don't know if I should go with the 1.1.11 version or stick with what is on mine, any suggestions?  Also, I put in a 500 GB seagate HDD.  Have a 80 GB drive there now which is pretty maxed out.  Playing with the idea to put xp pro on the 80 GB and using the programs and storage 500 GB.  I would like to know if it's a good idea or not!  Could use pointers and how much others who have more experience I have of course on my best options for installation.  for performance and features.  Thank you in advance, Ron.

  It's sad to say, you should probably have spent your money on a new computer rather than on the RAM and a new hard drive.  Windows XP (you posted in a forum of Windows XP, that's what I assume you have) will be supported is no longer starting in April 2014. This means no more security updates and therefore increases the vulnerability to malware.

  That said, your system now-updated can probably support Windows 7. You must run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to check the remaining material.

  As you say, Dell does not list the intervening versions of BIOS with 1.1.4, 1.1.10, so unless someone at Dell or in the Dell forums can tell you what "improvements" in your version or with your version 1.1.10, you have no way of determining that. Based on omissions, I think there were only minor changes in these versions.

  Normally, I would leave the BIOS alone.  Note, however, that Dell "recommends" 1.1.10 be installed because
  The update contains improvements or changes that will keep your system current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers and software) software.
  If you want to stick with XP, I would leave the BIOS alone. If you want to install Windows 7 (assuming that there are Windows 7 drivers for all your hardware), I would Setup 1.1.11.  Be sure to read and follow instructions carefully.

  BTW, it's a little surprising that you only have a 80 GB drive.  CNET review of the Dimension E521 said he came with a 320 GB drive.

• Webroot security found a file that is a threat to my system. Serial.sys Can I delete this file and download a new serial.sys or is this a file I do not have?

When I installed and ran the program of webroot it detected the file serial.sys as a threat similar to my system.  I'm assuming that this file is probably infected.  I guess my first question is whether or not, it is a necessary file?

  Microsoft Windows serial should be located in the folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers . This file serial.sys is safe and should not be considered a threat to the computer. The serial.sys process is part of Microsoft Windows and should not be removed or prevented from loading at each loading Windows. This could cause errors or Windows to stop working.

  1. nobody said.  You could probably guess, after understand how the BONE back in the Simulator, as well as an estimate of 'normal' size app time 10-20 that apps could be preloaded.  I hope that you will be able to remove some of the preinstalled too stuff.

I guess no..  One positive aspect of the statements on the issue have been in the 5th webcast, but I still think that they have kept their options open and these statements are not official.  Because they are good in the production of material and still did not mention of the GPS in the marketing of the statements or plug in anywhere, I tend to think that he has been left out.  Saddens me... but at least this way I'll be pleasantly surprised if it stops there, rather disappointed.  I'm pretty sure that they have a task they could put a GPS module, so maybe that will be in a later model but not the first... just a guess on my part.

  Take a look at this guide to see if that helps answer your question. You can use the downloadable ACLs or the cisco av pair, I saw that the cisco-av-pair method works a little better because he has the user name who logged in as part of the acl which facilitates troubleshooting.

  I have 90 downloads available based on my dollarphotoclub transfer. I have a license and downloaded the two images, but they are in format have and I don't use illustrator, so I can't open them. I also tried saving them in my library. They always have watermarks. I tried a lot of tips that I read such try another browser, re-register using the link, etc.. I have now invested a great of time trying to solve this problem, because I don't want to give up my images, and I'm very frustrated. I appreciate any additional suggestions or help that anyone can give me.
