Storage for shared components
HelloI use APEX 4.02 with Oracle XE database using embedded PL/SQL gateway.
I wanted to know
1. the table in which the images/css files/javascript files downloaded in "Shared components" be saved
2. If the images uploaded in "Shared components" with earphone APEX go to db or resident on disk.
3. If I could have given the code of procedure wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file, I could have been to understand 1, but this package is packed.
Is it possible to get all the APEX packages not wrapped form?

If you transfer the images or static files to the workspace of that those who are still in DB.
Table where those are stored is FLOWS_FILES. WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$.
You can also view queries WWV_FLOW_FILES or APEX_APPLICATION_FILES.

vSphere 6 FT cannot yet compensate for shared storage takedown?

a few questions about the PI with vsphere 6.0 — we just noted this in the test lab:
(a) is it true that the 'source' vm where you want to enable IP MUST be on shared storage? because it seems that way.
As you mentioned in the documents, it is now possible to locate the storage for the target on a separate storage VMDK (this can also be a non-shared storage just seen by the target host).
Now the second question: we ft´t just a machine (source on the shared storage, target on a local storage of target esxi. Bootet, installed the virtual machine just cool. Each host may die - all cool.
NOW, we killed the shared storage of laboratory. We wondered: Hmmmm... OK... If the second host the vmdk and both hosts have the namespace and the vmx why not keep the virtual machine running on the target storage? But what we saw was disappointing: the protected virtual machine became unresponsive. Is this expected behavior? The new ft cannot lose the shared storage?

Unfortunately, FT in vSphere 6 still relies on storage shared for the tiebreaker file and source VMX file and other functions.

I have a Macbook air running OS X El Capitan. I try to use my Time Capsule as external hard drive. But when I look in the Finder, nothing is available for shared devices. I don't know if I need to restart the time Capsule or change the wireless setting, etc. ?

The TC appears in airport utility? If not then it is probably not part of your network or is lost... upgrade installed you El Capo because there a lot of questions.
What is the TC plugged into the network by ethernet? And configured properly? Are you to internet via the TC... but can not see his drive... that would be typical?
Have you set Finder preferences to display the network drives? Apple keeps making it difficult for some unknown reason.
You actually have to mount the drive TC if it appears under shared... it still may not appear if you double click on it. Under the search box on the top of the right hand you see Connect (As) box, type the name or IP address of the TC in there... Make sure that you save the password from your keychain.

For the storage of the files it is fine.
For the execution of direct files for an application in the Mac, you are very likely to damage or corrupt the file at some point.
And how do you do backups? Time Machine can't help you... it won't work.
Backup is crucial, especially if you do things apple say not to do... That is to say move your photos or the iphoto library to the TC and try to use direct from there... expect any day to need a resumption of the library.

The shared components of silent uninstallation of IVI/VISA

During a silent uninstall all packages OR a system, I noticed that IVI and VISA packets shared components are always present in the system, under the "programs and features" window You can uninstall it manually, but if anyone has attempted a silent uninstallation or scripted from these packages with any success? Hello Eric,
In fact, the shared component of IVI is a common software published by IVI Foundation org. There may be some dependencies to the jacks of products of other suppliers. So before you uninstall, please make sure it has that no other software depends on.
There is a tool for the cleaning of the shared component of IVI. Links: IviCleanupUtility_2.2.1.exe.

My client needs storage for Lab Manager running on 100 servers. Is it recommended to use the NAS or SAN for Lab Manager running and what type of e/s that you wait for the same thing?
I did a little bit with storage of LM in recent years.
I have a development/test environment on LM 600 machine, using 2 Sun 7210 storage devices (is no longer available) on NFS shares. We have 2 links 1 G servile vmKernel traffc as well as links to more vmnetwork, management, etc. The devices are related to links of 4 x 1 G each.
I don't know what are the current constraints of LM/ESX, but whenever we revisit the decision 'block vs NAS' we end up selecting NFS (our Sun boxes can present the iSCSI as easily).
As Jon says, what storage you need certainly depend on your VMS and load. NOTE: my experience is * NOT * in a production environment, where I am squeezing virtual machines performance. It's more about the functionality and "adequate" performance (where "adequate" is a measure based on the user experience topic).
Some things we have learned over the years:
- IOPS / s are kings, and most of them are entries. (Written at the moment, I have a few heavy ready operations push me down to about 65 percent.) I saw > 80% of entries maintained for days.)
- Latency does not seem as important - VMs run about the same at 10ms latency and latency 250ms NFS NFS. When latencies above 750ms grows, they will be noticiable users and if they go more than a second over 1000 ms you will begin to see the impact on the guest OSes, especially Solaris x 86.
- Normal operations don't care about bandwidth - just current execution machines don't even fill a link 1 G
- Deployment operations * could * start filling to the top of the bandwidth, maybe
- Betware storm IO. Often people think the storm IO deployment/boot, but 400 RedHat machines all the kickoff of their 'updatedb' cron job at 04:00 can produce any IO storm as well. NOTE: IMHO if you buy storage to handle this kind of thing, you're overpaying storage. I've spread my cron through the night and now can not see on the graphs of storage performance.
- There is * NOT * a good correlation between guest OS IOPS / s as shown, for example, iostat and PAHO are / s NFS presented to the storage system. I'm guessing that ESX made a lot of caching.
Most storage vendors I spoke last year does not seem to find it. They think in terms of bandwdith and it accelerates with read cache, so unimportant in my environment - I had to push really hard to get sellers to think in the right conditions and some of them really seem out of their depth there.
I think that this state of mind is important: consider the IOPS / s as you consider CPU: how much should I give to each machine? How much should I oversubsubscribe?
Like CPU, a physical machine which IO a lot more available that he needs and you can consolidate - but don't know how. A physical machine with a pair of 15 k drives RAID1 has about 200 IOPS / s available and readers spend most of time inactive (a bit like the CPU).
That will boost the machines and when? Right now I'm on average 9 inputs/outputs by VM, which in my opinion is quite small. My storage system can go higher under request, but I have enough machines that it is fairly constant.
In my quest for the perfect storage of LM, I found the usual: good, not expensive or fast, you can choose any two. How we use LM (lots and lots of shared models) we would really like a unique namespace shared (i.e. 1 data store). I have yet to find the 'perfect' - storage, the Suns are very profitable for the performance and space, but their management takes too much of my time and my 72XX are not expandable - the 74 might be a different experience. I am currently looking to add some SSD storage, but the ideal configuration would be automated migratino between levels (for example, EMC QUICKLY) and if I bought only from EMC I would triple my cost per VM.
I talked to people who have a pattern of use of different models that are quite happy on several data stores. If you can move your load through many warehouses of data then Isilon looks like interesting storage.
So, in summary:
- Watch IOPS / s 1st, 2nd and 3rd, then the latency time, then (maybe) bandwidth
- Manage the budget or the ability of the IOPS / s as you CPU
- You may not use comments IOPS / s to provide shared storage IOPS / s
I'm hoping to have a better storage solution in the next 6 months or more.

Hi ive read through the forums and tried to find an answer to this, but get problems with Elements 9 rolling back when he tried to install the shared components. Ive tried several times to install.
Currently I have Adobe CS4 Web Edition installed with some components not installed because I didn't need them, it's just for additional info.
I have a Setup log, but it does not much what may be the problem.
Here's the whole journal if anyone can help, or is it possible to do a custom installation of the Elements 9?

Problem using bind variables in shared components report queries

I use APEX 4.0.1.00.03 and BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.1.
In the APEX, I try to create a report query that uses bind variables in the where clause. I have a page that contains a button and a text element (P1_ID). The button is used to call the report. I went the shared components and created a new report query. Here is the text of the code.
I also have Session State to enabled and have added the P1_ID in the area of 'State of Session' under the query.select violation_date , violation_type , nvl(:P1_ID,'zzz') from edd_procard_violations where upper(card_holder_id) = upper(:P1_ID)
When I change the query, and click on the 'Set Bind Variables' button, I get a field where I can enter a value for: P1_ID I enter a value that should return lines, but when I click on the button "Test query", I get no rows returned. If I comment on where clause and test the query, even once, I get all rows in the table. You'll notice in my query I have included nvl(:P1_ID,'zzz'). When I run the query, without where clause, the returned value is always "zzz" indicating that: P1_ID is null.
No idea what I am doing wrong?

Looks like the wizard to create a report query in the shared components has a bug related to bind variables. I was able to reproduce your problem. Just create the query using the link variable, check the box to include session state, add the item and create the query. When you use the report query to download the report, where the your clause will work fine.

Images in shared-> image components are those that you downloaded specifically for your application (or workspace). They are independent (strictly speaking) the images in the folder of the East (which are stored on the file system if you are using the ESO or stored in the database if you use EPG, etc.).

Flash does not work on some web sites. I never had a problem before with flash on FF in the nearly 15 years that I've used FF. Recently it has stopped working for some reason any and on some flash sites does not, NHL.com and site of kid Herotopia being just two of them. I updated FF, Adobe flash, the reinstalled version them repeatedly deleted all the files that have been stored on my laptop; that is, profiles, saved favorite nothing that I could find in user accounts and in the local app, low local and roaming data folders. What is strange, is that I can't set the local storage for flash either. When I visit the Adobe site to view the Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager I can move the scroll bar, but cannot check the: allow third-party flash content to store data on your computer. I can't do it on a Web site where the flash does not work. When I try and it changed on any site that it goes back to zero. Not sure if it is a part of the problem. I got tired of many suggestions on the pages of material here, but nothing works. I even tried this http://forums.adobe.com/message/4566499#4566499#4566499
The other strange thing is that I used to get the "warning: script does not" prompt that displays "a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding." You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script ends. "sometimes when I would buy on Macy's.com. This is the only site that it happened.
I know I have only little technical knowledge, but I have tried to figure this out for a few days and do not know what is happening. The only thing I can think is that I somewhere files corrupted causing this problem. I have just updated to Windows 8.1 tonight in the hope that can help, but nothing helped. I would be very disappointing if I couldn't use FF or must go back using Chrome and FF.

Out of curiosity, what it means exactly? What this has to do with the support of several users to create GarageBand projects on the same iPad? Or, in this same sense, it has to do with school education new features introduced in iOS 9.3?

DavidIf the user grants permission for a site to exceed the quota of 50 MB IndexedDB, then as much as I know Firefox is no limit more. The only limits on the size of the IndexedDB database will be the disk space of the user and operating system.
The quota of localStorage is 5000KB and there is no way for a web site asking the browser for permission to store more than that amount in localStorage.

I have been using external hard drives to save years of athletics competitions for my children, for posterity and my team amateur video (iMovie project) at the end of the season. However, I need a failsafe, courses and the permanent storage for my thousands of photos and 300 GB of digital video clips (and more). If I continue to use external drives, I still have readers risk bad over time. What are my options, please?
Keep several copies on separate drives offsite. There is no solution "fail safe." You can mitigate or reduce the impact knowing that drives die, buildings burn, data gets corrupted/stolen or lost. Knowing that on the records of time bad go migrate your data to new disks on a rotation schedule.

The ATV is a multimedia player that allows rather than a storage device. You can store media (movies, tvshows, music, etc.) on your computer to iTunes and House share locally or you can broadcast over the web. But you cannot store anything on the ATV itself - conservation applies to the apps/games only...
