storage iPhone bug

Hello

A few days ago my iPhone gives me the message that my storage is full. I just deleted 2 value apps around 2 GB of data and literally a few seconds later I get exactly the same message, I have not downloaded anything in the meantime. also, when I go to the management of the storage numbers do not add to the top. I counted in total about 5 GB used when iPhone is in saying that I have a total of 11.6 GB used. I already tried to reset using the home button and power button and deleted the history and data from safari no effect. So basically, my iPhone is somehow fill up it's own storage and I do not see it on the "manage storage.

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

  • iPhone bug 6?

In fact, my problem is that I can't connect to iTunes or iCloud by using my on my iPhone apple ID 6. The error message I get is that the password I enter is incorrect. After trying so many times my account got locked. So I ironed my password. The only thing is that even after resetting my password, I still can not login to my account because of "bad account or password". However, using the iTunes on my computer, I can access my account without any problem. To be sure, I logged on my account using a different iPhone and the connection was successful. Then, after that, I got suspicious that the issue might be with my iPhone, so I registered using a different apple on my iPhone ID and sign-in has been a success. I turned my iPhone off and ironed it, but nothing worked. I do not understand the question, is this a bug? Is anyone familiar with this problem?

  • Documents and data - storage leak (bug?)

    Hello

    iPhone 64 GB, ios 9.3.2 6s.

    The question is:

Documents and data to develop up to 32 GB (what I saw), as seen on iTunes and the phone ran out of free space.

This happens already months ago, I did not find any application causing it or either messages or e-mail account, I finally had to make full backup and restore via iTunes to purge this unknown space. I thought that behind me, but still, less than months then after full restore documents and data weight approximately 32GB, that's enough, before I restore once again, someone has an idea?

I tried everything to locate the space of simple storage up to PhoneClean, safeeraser, iFunBox management screen, I have no idea what is causing this problem...

also tried google the question, found only on the topics related to applications causing, but I already tried to remove all his apps manually one by one, which did not help

We hope to get some intel.

    Thank you community

Try to restore as new, not backup your backup is probably damaged. The fact that this has happened two times points to an application or system corruption in the backup. Then download apps you want from scratch. I had to do it myself in the past, unfortunately, no fun, I know.

  • Difference in storage iPhone shows iTunes and iPhone control

    Hey everybody,

Just a quick question. When I connect my iPhone, I noticed that there is a difference between the available storage space in iTunes and my iPhone settings. To clarify, when the iPhone is connected to my MacBook, iTunes States that the available storage space is 26 GB, but my iPhone displays in the settings menu that there are only 12 GB available.

In addition, I have seen what is happening before on my previous iPhone as well as on my iPad.

Any ideas on why this is happening? And which one is the most accurate assessment?

    Kind regards

  • strange behavior of storage iPhone 5 c

About 6 months ago, I moved to an old iPhone 4 to a whole new iPhone 8 GB 5 c. Because I don't have too much space, I removed many applications, a couple of e-mail accounts. I'm done with about 4 GB used on the 5 GB available. I followed all the practices to maintain the size of the files of weak data (download the pictures and movies, clean whatsup and iMessages, etc.). Everything was going well until a week ago, when I started receiving the message 'Almost complete storage' dreaded. I deleted all the stuff, I could and even deleted 5 or 6 apps (showing about 500 MB of storage utilization) and available storage kept showing available 0Go. He came to the point where Whatsup not worked, was not able to install a couple of updates. It was essentially blocked. I reset the phone a couple of times and nothing.

Fortunately I back up daily in the morning and I decided to wipe out the phone and install the latest available backup. When I finished, I couldn't believe my eyes: the storage was free up to 2.5 GB!

Does anyone know what can cause of these additional 2.5 GB to use for more than 6 months without a clear reason? Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening again? Just weird, I remember is the fact that iTunes has shown plenty of space allocated to the 'other' in the Summary tab. What is 'other '? Now it shows only a tiny allowance to 'others '.

    new 8GB iPhone 5 c.

There is no version of 8 GB.  The 5 c is available in 16 and 32 GB

Tunes showed a lot of space allocated to the 'other' in the Summary tab. What is 'other '?

'Other' is normally the iOS itself, data app, messages, email, etc.  It should be less than 2 GB unless you have a large number of messages with the media attached.  Corrupted data/metadata appears often, like others.  The only solution is to restore the factory settings, use a backup (which may contain corrupted data)

  • Internal transfer of files from storage iphone at iXpand

I can see all my files stored in the iphone using iXpand?  It is possible to transfer voice integrated saves files from my iphone to iXpand?  Thank you.

No, third-party applications have access to the camera. For files stored in other applications, it would be possible to activate the extension on the part of the player of iXpand application and share the application file where the file is stored in the iXpand player application, but this feature depends on the application that created the file.

  • iPhone storage

When I check my iPhone storage in 'Settings' it tells me I used 11.2 GB.  But adding up all items under 'manage storage' I only end up with 7.7 GB.  Does anyone know how to explain the difference?

    Thank you.

In addition to the items displayed under settings, System iOS itself takes place. In addition, there are a couple of caches to IOS where some app data end, Documents and data and others. These can be seen with iTunes on the Summary tab, but not on the phone itself. They are part of the SGB 11.2 However and probably account for the difference see you (and iOS).

The following articles can help explain.

I optimize storage iPhone enabled in my iCloud settings but it doesn't seem to work. I still have the full resolution original on my phone. Please help don't want have to delete photos to free up disk space.

You continue to have images full resolution until you start running out of space. Then the resolution will change accordingly. Leave it alone.

  • Space unposted on iPhone SE

This question has probably been asked, but the solutions never seem to work for me. I have an iPhone 16 GB SE which constantly runs out of space. However, it is not because of my own content. If you add up all the elements of storage or use, you get a little more than 5 GB, Messages, Mail, music and pictures included. Yet, it is said more 11FR is used. All the numbers simply don't add up. Once, I restored it from a backup encrypted on iTunes. After all the applications and the data has been restored, I had more than 5 GB free. Over time, this space has fallen to zero. Of course, restore regularly is a pain, especially with the reset TouchID and duty pay Apple.

Does anyone have an idea how to stop the loss of storage does not happen? My recently deleted photos is empty and there is no other available to the user caches remained. Thanks for any help.

  • How can I keep 'Other' small data storage?

I have a 6-16GB iPhone running on iOS 9.3.2.  A few months ago I started to run out of storage space, and I found it was used mainly by 'other' data upward.  I tried many, MANY tips given here and on other sites, in order to reduce others' my data, to the point of finally breaking and restore my iPhone to factory settings, then individually re-download my mail, applications, photos, etc. Mac support.  Initially, this great worked, now here we are a few months later, and my 'other' is back up to 7GB. I am so frustrated, that I do not understand why my 'other' data are so large. I thought by loading everything individually instead of simply to restore a backup, I would have managed to get rid of the corrupt files, etc. It is not possible to have to restore my phone settings whenever this happens, I need a more permanent solution to keep this 'other' data in check.  Any suggestions?

You are right. Restaurant as new every time is not the way to handle this. I suspect that one of your applications creates the issue but identifying that one would be difficult, likely error. 7 GB of others is much too large, I tend to run about 1 or 2 GB maximum. These articles can help, but like I said, I think the problem is with a single application.

  • iPad storage being quickly exhausted Air

When I did a recent sync between my iPad and iTunes, it showed that since the upgrade to 9.3.2 somewhere in the region of 60 GB had been exhausted and is displayed under 'Documents and data.  I don't have any idea what used this because only the last time I checked, there were 70 GB of free and I don't have anything installed or downloaded applications since. Then in the morning, I was not able to load the Mail app, whenever I went in there, he remained on the screen for 3-4 seconds then returned to the home screen. Because of the recent storage problem, I checked what he said in settings > general > storage & use iCloud and it showed there were 15 GB free.  I had no time to pursue the inquiry so I turned off.

When I got home, there was a message on the screen saying that I was almost out of storage, so I checked again and now it says I have 0 bytes!

None of the applications display a generally large amount of storage against them (the largest is 9.1 GB, then 7.5 GB, then 3.1 GB, 2.5 GB, 1.2 GB then gradually more small 678 MB up to 1.1 Mb).  So I can't understand where all the space suddenly disappeared. How can I trace that has used space?

With the symptoms you describe the system (or application) is damaged and you will need to do a restore of the system to be solved. First check these articles for suggestions. If of any help (and that's what I suspect) then do the system restore:

The system restore. First save your device via iTunes. Also import your photos on your computer and copy all the important data. Reconstruction of the support first test and test. If this does not help, you may need to restore as a new and reconfigure from scratch as the backup may be damaged. It is important to have your photos and your saved data separately from the backup. • Why don't my used by applications of storage is not the total storage used?

My iPhone 5 c with the most recent update says I use Go 4.9 out of 5. However, the storage of my apps meet don't add to that. It only concerns me if the gap was not so great. Currently, after you have added the app storage capacity, I use only MB 982,352. Whenever I get to 5GB my phone starts to act up, me locking out apps to keep me from using a storage capacity anymore, when I should have 4 GB.

Does anyone know what the cause of this problem and how to fix it? It's really starting to stress out me. Any information is helpful and appreciated.

The iOS itself uses about 3 GB, but you can have deeper problems. Connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes and check that its use downstairs bar. If other and D & D are large you may have a corrupt system and will have to do a restore to solve.

It seems you want to use iCloud photo library as an archive of photos. It was not intended for this use.

iCloud Photo library FAQ - Apple Support

It is designed to allow you to have full access to your library without having to choose which photos and videos you store on which devices because it connects to your library using iCloud to all your devices, you registered this service. You can choose the option to Optimize Storage iPhone, which will automatically replace your photos in full resolution with optimized for your phone free storage.  Such use allows to my 64 GB iPhone store more 18 000 photos and 877 videos with fast access on my iPhone and elsewhere, while occupying only 4.8 GB on my physical device. The library full resolution resumes of more than 112 GB of storage which I can access in iCloud.com, on my computer, or by requesting the download of contents of high resolution on my iPhone with that I will make.

Otherwise, if this does not work for you, you can use other services, such as Dropbox, archive your library, so you can completely remove the photos from your iPhone. If you deleted pictures from your iPhone now, they would delete the iCloud photo library so that he be kept in sync as your Contacts or Notes.

  • Save pictures of the iPhone on mac book air

    Hello

I bought a new iPhone with 16 GB 6s. Because my storage of the old iPhone 5 s is full I would like to 'download' a few pictures of my mac book air and save them.

The advantage would be that if I make a backup of the 5s iPhone and sync it with my new iPhone 6s storage directly would not be complete.

I know from the past with a windows pc that I have to copy and past the fotos of the storage iPhone without using iTunes etc. But I could not find a solution to do it with my mac book air. I do not use iCloud etc.

    Could someone help me?

  • Download individual images from high-resolution iCloud on iPhone 6

    Hi all

I chose "optimize storage iPhone on my iPhone" to save space. However, I understand that the iCloud stores the images original high resolution? If I want to print a photo in format high resolution, how I do without selecting "download and keep the originals" all my photos? I'm not all in high resolution, just a photo.

    Thank you!

When you select a photo in the Photos on your iPhone and enlarge for editing, the iPhone will download the high-resolution original and keep it for a while. When print, will serve it you the original full version.

The sharing and editing are possible if you have an internet connection to download the originals in iCloud.
