storage of email records

All my e mail storage folders disappeared when I emptied the box delete, how can I get back them?

using windows 7 and outlook express

It is not possible that you are using Outlook Express. Outlook Express is a component of Windows XP and will not work on newer versions of Windows. So please clarify what mail program you are running.

  • Complete e-mail storage, no email

    Hello

    Last a few weeks, I was on holiday and in the Middle a vacation, I received an email that my credit card no longer works and I couldn't buy new storage iCloud, unable to solve the problem on vacation I had to go 7 days without upgrade. Now I fixed it, but I have no idea how to find the mail, I received within 7 days. I started to receive again after that I updated again but I still need some mail from last week. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you!

    I don't think there is a way to solve this problem, because these emails could be stuck somewhere on a server.  You can try to reach out to the Apple Support (link at the bottom of the page) to see if / what they might be able to offer help.

  • Email records retrieved from a drive Thunderbird crashed. You want to import into my new installation.

    Tried to copy/paste the files recovered in profiles/Mail/Local folders in my new installation, but without success. I can't find an option to import messages from a folder. Any ideas? Thank you!

    Re: tried to copy/paste the files recovered

    Are you sure you are copy/paste the correct data?
    Emails are stored in files mbox, no records.
    MBOX files don't have any extension.

    As an example, in the image below, it states:

    • Inbox (mbox file containing the e-mail)
    • Inbox.MSF (indexing file - no emails)
    • Inbox.SBD (if created subfolders of Inbox. This folder contains more than mbox and indexing of files)

    Note:
    Thunderbird should be closed when copy paste or do anything in profile files.

    There is also an add-on which is pretty good.
    Download downloads folder or desktop.
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Thunderbird/addon/ImportExportTools/

    Install:
    Tools > Addons or Menu icon > Addons
    Click the gear icon and select "install the addon from file".
    Locate the downloaded xpi file and click Open
    You may have to restart Thunderbird.

    Right click on "local folders".
    Select "Importexporttool" > "import a mbox file".
    Select: "import directly one or more mbox files" and click OK
    Find the mbox files, and then click Open.

  • Email records too many emails as drafts

    Mail 9.3 records too partial and complete email in drafts that I never wanted to save and I can't understand how to stop it. I use my mail from the domain through Google apps as an IMAP and I disabled save drafts on the mail server. I see no such controls in Gmail preferences.

    Everyone would be someone else has this problem and how did they fix it, or may be useful to solve this? He is there so much saved that I never wanted saved.

    Open Mail and account preferences. In the mailbox behaviors, check once again that you not save draft messages on the server. The parameter can contain not for you. The mailbox of the project should appear under the google account in the sidebar.

  • Increase the storage of emails BC and antivirus filter

    1. I know that BC email comes with 5 GB of storage for each e-mail account. I've looked everywhere that I don't see where I can increase the amount of email storage space. I know that I can increase my overall BC site storage space, but not specifically the space of storage of e-mail. Is this possible?
    2. Also, I don't see any information on the site BC BC email virus filtering service. Other e-mail providers have spam, and filter integrated antivirus in their system to catch the obvious things before it hits the mailbox of the user. BC did the same? I don't see any information about it anywhere.

    Thank you.

  • Will I lose my google account or microsoft word or email and the email records if I reset firefox?

    Increase the grip on my firefox ("not responding" sometimes "the script is not responding"). Last night the mozilla would not respond to my email, so I opted to close the session. What a mistake. I lost all my email, some of them, business correspondence. Will I lose my Google account, e-mail and files written or my program Microsoft Word or Internet Explorer if I "reset"? I'll wait for a response before as I have "reset". Thank you for your service. Sincerely.

    This support article describes what refresh: Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons.

    But to answer your specific questions:

    I'm going to lose my...

    • Google account: No. If Firefox don't forget your Google password, you can log into your account and save it again.
    • E-mail: No. your email is not stored in Firefox, it is either stored on the e-mail service provider's website or a separate e-mail program, or both.
    • writing files: I'm not sure what this is. If you are using an add-on to create/save these files, then it is possible that the files will be gone after a refresh because the data associated with the modules are removed. However, if you have created these files in any other way, they should not be affected.
    • Microsoft Word program: No.. A Firefox Refresh does not affect the Microsoft applications.
    • Internet Explorer: No.. A Firefox Refresh does not affect the Microsoft applications.

    I noticed that you mentioned a "Reset". Windows has a reset function. I'm only talking about Firefox built in refreshment and not resetting Windows.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Email records

    I have just set up my work email to my blackberry.  now, when emails come they're going in my messages folder and my blackberry e-mail account folder.  I'd rather not have the emails entering my messages folder (unprotected only not to delete e-mails in two different places).  Is it possible to have just the text messages my folder messages and emails go in my e-mail folder?

    Your main Inbox will collect all messages and e-mail. You can move your TEXT messages to its own folder (messages > choose > General Options > Email and SMS Inboxes > separate).

    Then, hide your specific blackberry.net email folder. You don't need to see in any case, all this E-mail will come to the main message folder.

  • How can I import and export MBOX files in Thunderbird?

    Hi all, how can I import and export MBOX files in Thunderbird?

    I tried to install the add-on "ImportExportTools" but it seems that it is no longer recognized by Thunderbird, not the most recent generation.

    That this is the case, is no longer seems to be any official method of handling the files MBOX via Thunderbird, which is odd, given that Thunderbird itself announces that it is method of storage of email records is also MBOX files. It seems obvious that Thunderbird should natively support a file format import and export it is used internally

    If you know of a solution that does not rely on the conversion of traditionally third party utilities little reliable, please let me know.

    Thank you, KB_IT

    Hi there and thank you. I got it on 45.2.0.

    "" I haven't managed to make it work, but only by the search for available modules and following a request from 'import export tools' the "see all results" that work only then produced a success for the plugin in question and showed a button to install it.

    Installers hosted on the site of the third party do not work, nor their instructions to use the option "install file". work, which led to the creation of this ticket.

    Since then, I was able to do properly installed where it works very well.

    I hope that they are a regular feature. I intend to announce this as a best practice to my organization, in collaboration with Google fish, during the handling of the mbox files in Windows operating system.

    Thanks again, Kevin

  • How can I send a disposable email address?

    I use Abine to protect my identity, and I often create disposable email addresses for Web sites to contact me. Sometimes I want to send an email to a company or an individual, but I don't want to have my real email address (think Craigslist). But when I write an email, I'm only able to send email "recorded" in TB accounts. Is it possible to change the "to:" to a disposable address? I tried several times to create an account using a disposable address, but I am never able to succeed. Interestingly, I used to be able to make several versions of TB much there, I don't know which, but now I can't.

    Can someone tell me how to proceed? This is an important privacy concern and I'm surprised Mozilla has not considered it.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Nested table of object type have only one record all the time

    Hi all

    I have a question regarding the storage of multiple records in a nested Table that is of type OBJECT.

    The program below that I wrote for the test and during the test, I was able to store only the last record in the nested Table.

    Please let me know what I did wrong here.

    Step 1:
    CREATE or REPLACE TYPE book_obj AS OBJECT (name varchar2 (25), author varchar2 (25), abstract varchar2 (4000));
    /

    Step 2:
    CREATE or REPLACE TYPE book_table IS TABLE OF THE book_obj;
    /

    Step 3: CREATE TABLE book (name, varchar2 (25), varchar2 (25) author, varchar2 (4000)) abstract;
    INSERT VALUES Accountants ('Harry Potter,' 'MK', 'It's magic');
    INSERT the book VALUES ("Ramayana', 'VK', 'It is mythiology'");
    COMMIT;

    Step 4:
    declare
    bookset book_table;
    ln_cnt pls_integer;
    Start
    bookset: = book_table (book_obj ('madhu', 'kongara', 'sudhan'));
    dbms_output.put_line (' the number is ' | bookset.) (Count); -> I see COUNT = 1
    bookset: = bookset_t(); -> Assignment to NULL.
    dbms_output.put_line (' the number is ' | bookset.) (Count); -> I see County 0
    for rec in (select * from book) loop-> now a loop twice.
    dbms_output.put_line (' name > ' |) Rec.Name);
    bookset: = bookset_t (book_t (rec.name, rec.author, rec.abstract));
    end loop;
    dbms_output.put_line (' the number is ' | bookset.) (Count); -> I can see COUNT = 1 (why?)
    END;

    I looped twice to fill two records in the TABLE IMBRIQUEE OF TYPE OBJECT. But when I see the Count I get only 1 and the data is also having the last record.

    Can you get it someone please let me know how to fill out the table nested with all records. Tell me where I am wrong.

    Very much appreciate your help here.

    Thank you and best regards,
    NKM

    Maldini says:
    dbms_output.put_line (' the number is ' | bookset.) (Count); -->, I can see COUNT = 1 (why?)

    Because instead of add to bookset collectionto set (ergo replacement) it a collection containing recovered book. Use:

    declare
        bookset book_table;
        ln_cnt pls_integer;
    begin
        bookset := book_table(book_obj('madhu','kongara','sudhan'));
        dbms_output.put_line('The count is '||bookset.count); --> I can see COUNT =1
        bookset := book_table(); --> Assigning back to NULL.
        dbms_output.put_line('The count is '||bookset.count); --> I can see count as 0
        for rec in (select * from book) loop --> Now Looping two times.
          dbms_output.put_line(' name > '||rec.name);
          bookset.extend;
          bookset(bookset.count) := book_obj(rec.name, rec.author, rec.abstract);
        end loop;
        dbms_output.put_line('The count is '||bookset.count); --> I can see COUNT =1 (why)
    end;
    /
    The count is 1
    The count is 0
    name > Harry Potter
    name > Ramayana
    The count is 2

    Or better use bulk collect:

    declare
        bookset book_table;
        ln_cnt pls_integer;
    begin
        bookset := book_table(book_obj('madhu','kongara','sudhan'));
        dbms_output.put_line('The count is '||bookset.count); --> I can see COUNT =1
        bookset := book_table(); --> Assigning back to NULL.
        dbms_output.put_line('The count is '||bookset.count); --> I can see count as 0
        select  book_obj(name,author,abstract)
          bulk collect
          into  bookset
          from  book;
        for i in 1..bookset.count loop --> Now Looping two times.
          dbms_output.put_line(' name > '||bookset(i).name);
        end loop;
        dbms_output.put_line('The count is '||bookset.count); --> I can see COUNT =1 (why)
    end;
    /
    The count is 1
    The count is 0
    name > Harry Potter
    name > Ramayana
    The count is 2

  • There is still a huge problem of compaction of the mailboxes

    Once more I heard a person in great distress because Thunderbird removed some critical mail messages. In this case they went to get the mail and gave him a TB ALERT, and told him he had no place in her dressing room IN (there was a huge 20 messages). Thinking that the file was too big (which is a logical deduction of a message "no more room") it compacted his IN box and then there were 4 messages. Other messages have disappeared.

    And worse, all the information on the forums are explanations and the defence of TB - as if it was his fault to be compacted, not backup or (my favorite) - an article that says TB is just do what it says to do.

    When we combine this with all the traffic of other message here and on other sites about the loss of emails the only thing that is clear is that the modules dealing with indexing and compacting of the mailboxes are tragically flawed. Unfortunately and that's the problem with free software #1 - product builders are doing it for ego, no money, so once they decided that their program is fair and users are mistaken - there it sits, cast in concrete.

    Thunderbird has been and is still a leader in form and features but lose data user - for ANY reason-EVER - is and will always be the fault of the developer and no - EVER - users shouldn't have to change its behavior in order to avoid a problem that the developer does not know how to fix.

    Of course, there are a solutions - each a work-around to avoid a bug.

    As an explantion, I can offer this info.
    Emails are not stored in individual files.
    They are stored in files mbox, an e-mail listed after another in the order they have been downloaded. If all emails in an Inbox folder, as shown in the folders pane are all in one Inbox file.
    When you choose to delete a message, this message is "marked as deleted" and your Visual point of view, it is removed from the Inbox folder in the folders pane and reappears in the folder "Deleted".
    In reality, it is always in the Inbox just "marked as deleted.
    When you compact the file, these emails "marked as deleted" are deleted, thus creating more space and store the file.
    If you do not compact the folder on a frequent basis, the file gets more and wider and at some point may be damaged due to lack of maintenance. Then Thunderbird is perhaps not in a position to say where there is a clear end of the deleted section, therefore resulting in losing a good email.

    So, as all documents etc. on your computer, you must do a few basic things to reduce the risk of data loss.

    Use the information you learned in the link "keep it works."
    Use the Inbox folder as a folder, Inbox, and not as a general storage.
    Compact records on a regular basis.
    Create backups on a regular basis.
    "Options of the Archive"allows to reduce the size of the files, including the "Sent" folder.
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/archived-messages?ESAB=a & s = Archive + options & r = 0 & s = ACE
    Archived files are always in the profile Thunderbird and always as accessible and also require backup.

    Losing emails is a pain and can be troublesome say the least.
    But if you follow the guidelines, then, you reduce the risk of experiencing a problem.
    I've manually compress my inbox every day that I will probably have a dozen deleted messages.
    I save every month and leave emails on the server for a month, then only between the two, anyway to lose, I can probably recover most if not all emails.

    If all goes well, this explains what has likely occurred and how to manage things so that in the future, you are less likely to suffer from corrupt files and more likely that you have a loss, there is a backup plan that you can use.
