========================================
Using Windows Live Photo Gallery? I think so
the previous 2009 version had the option to "straighten out".

The freeware PhotoScape has an option to straighten
photos... it's called "arbitrary Rotation.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

PhotoScape

(NT/2000/XP/Vista/7)
(the download is: PhotoScape_V3.6.2.exe)

When you open PhotoScape, you will see a circle
that includes several options... Choose "Editor."

Navigate to the photo you want to edit in the left pane
and double click on it to view it in the Editor screen.

On the Home tab, you will see several blue arrows...
the first is "Arbitrary Rotation"... left by clicking which
arrow will open a screen with a grid and a slider
to straighten a picture.

  • Straighten a Photo in PSE 8

I experienced some difficulties with the use of smoothing in PSE 8 tool while working to 'change guided '.  It works fine when I have a feature of good photo that should appear to be horizontal, but isn't very good, when I have only a good vertical device to work with.  This causes me to have to guestimate a relationship between the horizontal guide line and the good (central) vertical feature on the photo 90 degrees. My program of PSE 8 appears only to allow me to use a horizontal line for this purpose.  Is there a way to impose / use either horizontal & vertical overlay grid or otherwise convert the standard horizon line straightening to a vertical?

It's really simple just about any program of post-processing. Straightening is associated with harvest window in Lightroom. You have the Canon DPP program? I do not use it, but I'm sure he has a similar setup.

  • photos of opening Windows media player

I was using Windows Picture and Fax viewer and loved it.

Could not do too much to solve any desynchronization in a photo, but that's what I was used to.

Then tried Windows Live Photo Gallery and as better, able to fix red eye, to straighten the photo. etc.

However when I try to open pictures now, "media player" Windows opens and it doesn't seem to be

the appropriate program for use.for images and photos.

However I'm unable to stop opening whenever I click on an image.

How can I remedy the situation so that media player does not open the photos?

I noticed that when I click on open a picture, it gives me the possibility to use several different programs

so I went back to the Windows Picture and Fax viewer, but there not there after closing

    Hello

This isn't an Internet Explorer problem, but since you're here...

    1. from start > settings > Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types, find the type of file the list, and then select it. Click on change. Select the program you want by default. Make sure that "always use the program selected...". "is checked. OK your way out.

    2. option 2: do right click the file > open with > select choose program > program and always tick "use the program selected...". "OK your way out.

  • Culture / straighten, but not both!

Really weird: I straighten a photo. So I want to crop, but when I click on the crop tool (after straightening), ACR, UN-straightens the image!

I ' ts as it says you can do one or the other, but not both.

No, everything is done by clicking is save the changes to ACR.  When you return to the image, you will find culture straighten everything as you left it.  Remember, ACR edition is non-destructive, i.e. the original image is never changed.  So a single culture, be to straighten or using the crop tool is directly, all you get in the cab.

  • Recovery and cropping of scanned... photos there at - there a trick to this?

    Hello

I'm scanning a bunch of pictures of different sizes/shapes.  If I put the right pictures against the edge of the scanner, it crops it.  So what I did is the eye or there a few centimetres from the edge.  Naturally, it is a little off as much to find directly at.  I have been using transform to adjust the picture, so it's all right.  Y at - it a trick in Photoshop to align it according to the edges of the images?

Also, is it possible to use the wand (for basically to select all of the photo) and then selected cultures?

    Thank you!

PS. because the photos are different sizes I can't use a holder.

There are file-automate-crop & straighten the photo. Usually, I use the ruler tool and drag along the right edge and suddenly turn arbitrary, which corrects the angle.must stop be a multitude of ways more.

You can try another method of interpolation (Photoshop > Preferences > General > Interpolation of the Image, you may need to restart Photoshop).

  • The perspective correction.

I'm an architect and take lots of photos architecture wide angle.  I am a user of Aperture on a mac.  At the opening, I can straighten a photo but I can't correct perspective distortion.  I was told that this is possible in Lightroom.  Can a user of Lightroom tell me how it's done and if it's easy and done well.  I would love to see a before and after.  Thank you.

  • How to stop reducing the size to straighten photos?

Opening has been really great for the recovery of the photos. I understand how to do this in pictures, but my problem is it strongly seems to reduce the size of the photo. Opening did not do that; It simply reduced all that has been cropped in smoothing. However, Photo reduces the overall size of the picture when recording far beyond what has been slightly cropped.

Is there a way to avoid this?
    To give.

Thanks for any help you might be able

Straightening (obviously) to crop the image - change the in = size of mage - beyond that, there is no loss, as all changes to Photos - why do you think that the image goes beyond the necessary culture?

  • Cannot find the 'difficulty' function to straighten images in windows photo gallery

When you select "Difficulty" in the photo gallery, I had access to a number of features to improve your photos.  I had to reinstall my Vista software and photo gallery software does the same.  More disappointing is the ability to straighten a picture isn't pluse here.   Where can I download a copy of the software, I had a function right?
    Thank you.

You didn't say what version of Photo Gallery however you use the last version that works on Vista has the user interface of the Ribbon.  You can find the button to turn on the Edit tab.  You can download it from http://get.live.com
