Hello!!
Can someone help me please? I have problems with my Wireless PCMCIA card. The computer does not seem to find it at all. I am running Windows XP. I tried with other maps too, but nothing happens. Are there drivers, I need to solve the problem of compatibility or something.
Please help me!

Hello

First of all check the Device Manager if the PCMCIA device has been installed correctly.
Have you seen brand yellow exclamations?

The second option is to enter the BIOS. He try to change the configuration of the device for all devices and the controller CCIP compatible mode.

Good bye

  • Satellite Pro 4300 series - is there an available wireless card

    Hi all

New to this forum I bought an old laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro 4300 series recently as a starter machine for my son. The computer is currently connected to the internet using 3Com Megahertz 10/100 LAN PC Card PCMCIA 3CCFE574BT with dongle connected through hub speedtouch.

Can someone tell me if there is a PC wireless card that I can use with this machine without having to connect wires in the hub.

    Hello

As far as I know, the machine does not support the Wlan and has not been equipped with all Wlan cards.
If you want to connect the computer to the WLan router then I would recommend using a USB WiFi key that would be the simplest solution.

There are different sticks USB Wlan that supports different Wlan standards; 802.11 B or G, you must choose one that is compatible with your WLan router.

    Hi guys!

I was given a 2nd hand Satellite Pro 4300 notebook PC series of my brother. Its shows be quite slugglish (over the start time of 20 minutes). I think I'm a format and a new installation of windows 2000 (windows 98se running sound) may be useful. However, I don't have the original recovery disk, although I own an original copy of Windows 2000 Professional.

Would it not be possible to do a full format and install windows 2000? Or would I meet problems, for example with driver problems, later? I know computers cell phones can be a bit of a nuisance when it comes to facilities OS!

  • Unable to boot CD on a Satellite Pro 4300

    Hello world

I recently tried to install Ubuntu on a Satellite Pro 4300.
The problem is that I can't boot any CD, except those made by Toshiba. In the BIOS, I select the option "CD-ROM", but it goes straight to Windows.
I also updated the BIOS to the latest version, but the problem is still there.
Then I tried to create a linux floppy with Smart Boot Manager but when I select the "CDROM" line, I always get error 0xAA.

I don't think it's a hardware problem: when windows was installed, I was able to read any cd.

Is there something I forgot to do?
Thanks for the help!... Sorry for my bad English... .and!

Have you tried to test with some other bootable CD, for example Microsoft WXP CD facilities?

  • Can I go through Satellite Pro 4300 with disk HARD mk8032GAX?

Hello and thanks in advance. The question is: can I upgrade the hdd by default in satellite pro 4300 with mk8032GAX model?

    (Sorry for my English)

    Concerning

The question is whether the laptop and the BIOS is able to manage the size of the HARD drive.
The mk8032GAX is a 80 GB, 2.5 HARD disk at 5400 RPM and 8 MB cache.

I discovered that this laptop supports these drives:
    5,59 GB Toshiba MK6414MAP, Toshiba MK6411MAT
    11.2 GB Toshiba MK1214GAP
    16.9 GB Toshiba MK1814GAV

Perhaps also a 30 GB might be compatible, but to be 100% sure, a test is necessary.

  • Strange problem with the module memory series Satellite Pro 4300

I have a laptop Toshiba satellite pro 4300 series with 64 MB onboard + 64 MB Module and I want to upgrade my memory to 320 MB. I bought two ram of 128 MB each. I removed the 64 MB module and I put a 128 MB module into the slot (A) one, but I saw that the total memory is 128 MB again.

I removed the module again and I put the second module in the connector (A), but I saw that the total memory is 128 MB again. After that, I put the two modules in my notebook (Slot A and slot B) but I see that the total memory is 192 MB. This means that it recognizes each module as 64 MB as opposed to 128 MB. Dose anyone know why this happens?
And what do I do about it?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Well, I put t know why this happens. It seems that the 128 MB modules are 64 MB modules. I know that it of strange but I have only this explanation. You are 100% sure that both modules of memory 128 MB?
In my opinion, you should check the bars of memory if they have 128 MB.

  • Satellite Pro 4300 - memory upgrade problem

    Hello

I know that the issue has been already discussed several times, but it seems that none of the solutions or suggestions posted earlier apply to my situation.
I recently bought an old Toshiba Satellite Pro 4300. The laptop has a slot filled memory of 64 MB module of the system's total memory was 128 MB.
Because in my opinion, the system has worked to slow down, I decided to buy an additional memory module. I bought 128 MB - module TOSHIBA PA3005U k and placed in the slot B

I was very surprised when I found that, after the upgrade, Windows showed that the total memory is 192 MB.
When I put the 128 MB in the slot module is and the old module of 64 MB in the slot B - the surprise was even bigger, given that windows showed only 128 MB.

I first thought that the slot B is defective, but in this case, it would be impossible to get in the first place the 192 MB. Then I thought that the new module of memory was either defective or it was 64 MB instead of 128 MB, but this option is also likely, according to my observations. Furthermore, I checked with EVEREST software system and it recognizes the new module as 128 MB module, but does not see the old 64 MB module.

The situation is quite strange. Does anyone has an idea whay happens?

    Kind regards

    Sebastian

To my knowledge, the 4300 Satellite Pro can be upgraded to 320 MB max.
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=5769&ft=m&St=3

64 MB module which was fitted with your laptop should not be removable.
So in this slot ONLY this 64 MB module could work properly.

I know it's strange but the computer world is sometimes strange ;) you know :D

  • Satellite Pro 4300 PCB

Can someone help me find a diagram of circuit for my computer toshiba laptop satellite pro 4300. Including the Council of the drive battery.

    Hello

Unfortunately, you won't find any of the circuit diagrams for Toshiba laptops on the Toshiba site. The Toshiba service partner has information on laptops.

I studied a bit on the net and found this site:

It seems that you can buy there some instructions.

  • Satellite Pro 4300 - keys pressed "automatically".

I have a problem with a series of Satellite Pro 4300 keys seem to have pressed automatically making me lose control of the computer frequently.
I thought it might me some virus or spyware, but I formatted and reinstalled the operating system and the problem continues immediately (even before you install any other software!).

I think it's a hardware problem, because sometimes, even when I turn on the computer, the message asking to press F1 to enter BIOS setup appears, and this message should appear only if the ESC key was pressed; also at this stage of startup no software has yet run.

Usually, I'm able to connect, use the computer for a while and then it seems to start by pressing the keys of way uncontrolled, causing the pop-up help windows, closing windows, I train, blocking certain keys etc..

Has anyone else had a problem like this?
Don't you think it's a hardware problem? Can you think of a solution to this?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    HI Gustavo,

Really, it sounds like a problem with your keyboard. I recommend you only to contact a Service Agent to get the extract.

  • HYB39S256800T-8A module works with Satellite Pro 4300

I can buy this SODIMM Infineon HYB39S256800T-8A, and I heard that they only work with Toshiba laptops.

They have been tested with Tecra 9000 and no problem, and with no computers Toshiba there are any errors.

I have Satellite Pro 4300, they will work with it?

Maybe someone a piece of support for a Toshiba for this memory.
I asked Infineon, that they do not have the specifications for answering my question.

    Thanks for any help.
    Winyl

You will be very happy if someone has the same laptop model and quite the same module of RAM. Buy and test it with your laptop. If it won't work not return. End of the story.

The person who wants to sell you this RAM should be able to give a list of compatible laptop models. In any case, I recommend you to use compatible Toshiba or RAM Kingston modules. Both are tested and you'll get a high quality product.

    Hello

As Lucky said already support memory Expansion can be found in the lower corner of your laptop and it is fixed with two screws. I hope you have the module that is compatible with this unit.

I found the info that Ram module with the PA3005U part number is good.
