Structure files and DW FTP

Hello

I find that I like Dreamweaver built in FTP client.  As long as I have FTP from the same local directory, the files transferred to the root on the server.  However, when I FTP from another directory, DW will build a tree on the remote server to the mirror of the source of this file on the local computer.  This would suit me much better if DW simply transferred this / I opened these files in any directory on the server.  If possible, could you direct me to this rocker or selectors?  Thank you

Peace,

Dave

DW is entirely dedicated to sites based on local site and remote definitions.

Its FTP feature is hardwired to always create a mirror image of the tree of the local directory on the remote server, regardless of what directory you ever FTP where.

For the behavior you want, you need to use a client FTP 3rd party like FileZiilla.

  • Why the file adapter and the FTP adapter are called not transactional

    Hello

    In the sense Oracle SOA Suite of 'Transactional Services no' are services that does not modify data. That's what I read on the internet, but even that dose not justify as in the Oracle doc it is mentioned that:

    Suite of adapter are transactional: DB adapter, adapter to JMS, AQ, MQ, Oracle App adapter adapters

    Suite of adapter are Notransactional : file adapter, the FTP adapter.

    Now, according to the meaning of 'Transactional resource no' must not modify data but I can see operations are the same in the JMS adapter and also file read and write adapter

    In the FTP adapter also I see similar Get and Put operation.

    Maybe I do not get correct sense of the word nontransactional or maybe I'm wrong understand its meaning.

    Please clarify for me why File adapter and adapter FTP are called from other nontransactional maps

    Thank you.

    Transactional here means the ability to participate in a transaction (global or local) and the ability to restore once the treatment fails down the line in the message stream. File, FTP, and other non-transactional adapters do not have this capacity. Therefore the changes through these adapters are not rolled back if message processing meets as matter later in the stream.

  • My ftp detects a virus in my muse index file and deletes it. What can I do?

    I tried to download my file through the upload to ftp option muse and also by simply dragging the file and it detects a virus and deletes it. What can I do? In this case, it is a specific server, because when I use another server is not a problem.

    Is it possible to remove the code in my index file that causes this problem.

    Thank you

    Tania

    I contacted the hosting company and they told me to add an "s" in front of the ftp to make secure and it worked. It's weird how it detected my muse as a virus index.html file and delete the server.

    The host I was using was rackspace. Maybe this might help someone else.

  • File and FTP diff b/w adapter?

    What is the difference between file and FTP adapter?

    (1) the file adapter is used, when the process is to read/write/list files on your local system (where your FMW server is installed and running).

    (2) However, the FTP adapter is used, when the process is reading/writing/list of the files in a system essentially other than the local system (where your FMW server is installed and running) which is set up as an FTP server to access files. The system can be with your network or outside of your network.

  • Anyone know if you can use FTP, when you save, just save the selected file and not all images and cs

    Someone knows If you can use FTP, When you save , just Save the selected file and not all the images et CSS includes ...

    What?  Can you please rephrase your question in order to understand what you're asking?

    If you ask how a file on the remote site via FTP without FTPing any dependent files?  That the answer is Yes, you can do this by changing the SITE > dependent files: option in the PREFERENCES to enable the option "prompt on put/check-in."  The next time you download a file, you will be asked if you want to also download dependent files.  If you say NO and check the don't ask again option, then you will always simply load the file and not the dependents. You can change it back at any time by changing the preferences of this setting.

  • Export a Table to a flat file and upload to a FTP server for external provider

    I did some extensive research on forums and I think I have an idea, but really need help. Basically to have a table that is to be exported in a flat file and uploaded to an FTP server so that our provider can obtain the data from Monday to Saturday and automated by sysdate. These data are used to produce daily letters that come out to customers.

    After doing some research I came across the UTL_FILE package and read more into that right now, but I don't know if that's what I use to create the file.
    I use TOAD right now and see how the do it manually but really need the file to create itself and send it automatically to 06:00 Monday - Saturday, with the date at the end of the name of the file, which makes a single file for each day.

    Thanks in advance for all your help.

    As Justin and others have said that I wrote [XUTL_FTP | http://www.chrispoole.co.uk/apps/xutlftp.htm] If you won't find in the Oracle documentation. It is pure PL/SQL using UTL_TCP and implements a built-in FTP from PL/SQL client / API. One of its many procedures overloaded FTP the contents of a refcursor directly to an FTP server of your choice, which means that no intermediate file is necessary. Since it is pure PL/SQL, it is trivial to program using DBMS_JOB/DBMS_SCHEDULER.

    Any questions just ask.

  • Organize referenced Structure file

    I have a very large 350 GB + Aperture library and I've been avoiding switching, but I think it might be time.  Last year, I went to a library that is managed in a reference library.  However, when I made the passage the folder structure I used in Aperture doesn't have cary Finder.  I was not bothered by it, but I know realize it could be a big problem when I finally happening.

    My Aperture library is organized with folders that divide the year in winter, spring, fall, was of the same year, then each file has projects, and some projects have Albums (normally a Best Of album).  When I moved to managed to referenced it exports all projects, but I lost the enveloping folder indicating the season/year and I lost Albums within projects.

    Is it possible to rebuild a library referenced with a different file structure?

    Should I go back to Managed and then try to switch back to referenced with different parameters?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    When I moved to managed to referenced it exports all projects, but I lost the enveloping folder indicating the season/year and I lost Albums within projects.

    You can move the original files referenced to different folders with the command "file > move original.

    To keep your files and projects such as cloasely as possible, manually create seasonal records: it will be a bit of work, however.

    For example, to create a year 2000 folder, with subfolders spring, summer, and then select all photos in Aperture in the 2000 folder > spring in Aperture. Now, use "file > move original" and use the "Project name" subfolder format and export to the 2000 folder > spring.  This will create a subfolder in this folder for each project.

    Continue to do this for all your folders every years and seasons.

  • How to upload files to an ftp site?

    On Internet Explorer I can open an ftp with "File Explorer" site, and I can upload files to the site. However, on Firefox, I can't find this option. I need to upload files to an ftp for my work site, and Firefox does not allow me to do.

    Hello, G.F., upload to an FTP server is a feature that is not built - in the core firefox browser. You can use the excellent addon FireFTP however: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/fireftp/

  • FileToArray or readline to read a file and displays the information in a textbox control

    CVI, I am a beginner and I have a few basic questions.
    I am currently using CVI 2009th

    I want to open a file and transform it into another format. The most important information to be included on the GUI.

    The text display, I use the text box.

    With readline, everything has worked, but for my rows of data is rather impractical.

    That's why I tried the same thing with FileToArray. But the table does not appear in the text box.

    I don't know exactly how works the text box. Is - that the textbox is a page break after a certain number of characters? Or I can write a text in succession away?

    Here are a few lines of my code.

    FileToArray

    FileToArray (road access, & fcsLine, VAL_CHAR, fcsfile_numberofelements, 1, VAL_GROUPS_TOGETHER, VAL_GROUPS_AS_ROWS, VAL_ASCII);

    What is the proper way to display text with filetoarray?

    SetCtrlVal (tabPanelINFO, TABINFO_FCS_VERSION, fcsLine);

    InsertTextBoxLine (tabPanelFCS, TABFCS_FCSBOX,-1, fcsLine);

    ReadLine

    While ((fcsfile_open, fcsLine, fcsfile_numberofelements) ReadLine > = 0)
    {

    InsertTextBoxLine (tabPanelFCS, TABFCS_FCSBOX,-1, fcsLine);

    }

    OK I found documentation on the format of your data, and it seems at the first glance not so difficult to decode.

    A few answers to your questions:

    1. opening a file in ASCII mode allows the system to recognize and welcome the correct new line character (the one that allows to ReadLine to interrupt playback) sequence. As you treat binary data may be ASCII option is not the best, you can use

    2. using a data structure or by analysing the single lines in significant variables is somewhat equivalent: in my opinion, the structure is more immediate, she may not need any extra data setting to use correct variables populated by vales (depends on data format and packaging data: little - endian or big-endian and so on)

    3. as much as I've seen in the part of the file that you have posted, the hexadecimal bytes you observe are not in the file: they are only a means of your Viewer uses to represent unprintable binary data

    Ciao

    Rather than to get the

    node, you can just go directly to the node since ' one that really interests you. Basically what it means to determine the elements of table how much you have, and it depends on if you have 1 or 2 knots . The rest is just of the child nodes and the next siblings. See attachment as a starting point. The attached XML file is a table 2D (change the .xml extension).

    Notes on the example:

    • I did not close properly references, so it's something you need to do.
    • It is limited to tables 1 d or 2D.
    • I suggest using a control path of the file to specify the input XML file and path of the file/folder control to specify the location of the output file.

  • View files and directories on a remote system (RIO) on a host (PC)

    Hello

    Please assume that we discuss software based on the example of standard project "Labview FPGA control on Compact RIO." The host is an initiation LV14 ongoing fall of running PC, the remote system is a sbRIO-9636 having a USB HDD and SD card. The objective is the control of the process. The control process is not relevant to the question.

    That question is on the implementation of the following functionality: the user operates a host running a user Labview vi (UI Main.vi) the interface locally on the host computer. Part of this vi should offer the user built in dialogue (some express vi or another) or custom dialog (a vi to measure on request). The dialogue should display the directories and files on the remote system that is running RT Main.vi and it must allow the user to select a single XML file on the remote system (which contains generic configuration information). The file name is passed then to the remote system and the remote system will act to open and fill out a few configuration variables.

    I'm sure that a widely used solution exists for this problem but I have not found the right words to type in my favorite search engine and yet to produce the result. I propose the following:

    (1) the user clicks on a button "select config file" Main.vi UI

    (2) the place of event loop UI Main.vi a message on the main message queue of the UI based on the event value caused by the modifier key

    (3) the UI Main.vi enqueues message loop a separate message on the stream from the network "user interface control flow '.

    (4) the Main.vi RT, RT loop - UI Commands.vi Subvi receives the message from the stream and places it on the message Main.vi RT queue

    (5) the message Main.vi RT loop performs some functions to read disk, directories and filenames of the RT system structures

    (6) name of file and directory (5) data are converted to a variant and went with an appropriate message in the network of RT writer stream

    (7) the Main.vi UI periodically reads the stream network of RT writer (it's in the 'monitoring loop') and place the message received (6) in the queue of messages in the user interface

    (8) the message queue of the user interface main filled the main façade of the UI with the data

    (9) the user selects the directory and the file they want and click on an ok"" button.

    (10) the causes of button click ok the event loop of the main UI to place a message in the queue of messages of UI Main.vi due to the expectancy value change on the ok button

    (11) the places UI Message Loop a message on the stream from the network "User interface control flow" with the selected file name of the selected file as the data (stored as Variant)

    (12) the RT Main.vi, RT loop - UI Commands.vi Subvi receives the message from the stream and places it on the message Main.vi RT queue

    (13) the RT Main.vi message loop opens the XML file and populated the appropriate variables with the configuration options that are there.

    The user must be able to cancel the dialog and avoid using a configuration file, but I have not delt with it here.

    Now for the questions:

    (1) is this a logical approach?

    (2) are there any suggestions for a better way?

    (3) all links to pre-written code that will allow to me impliment all or a part of this with minimal effort (I am referring to dialog bit rather than the forest of streams and events network as these structures still exist and have a lot of custom code in them)?

    Thank you

    James

    I do something like that, but as the interaction of the user on the host, I keep the Configuration files also on the host.  This saves a few steps:

    • Host opens VI of dialogue saying "Choose Configuration file", pointing to the location designated on the host.
    • The user selects a Configuration file.
    • Host bed data packets to send to remote files.
    • The host sends Message 'Configuration' with the previous step Configuration data remotely.
    • Remote control receives the message and any Configuration configures automatically, possibly to send message 'I'm Ready' return home.

    All I/o file consists of the host, and only a single host remote message must be sent.
