  Yes, vCloud Air Disaster Recovery allows to easily backup and catering for your workloads cloud virtualized (and not virtualized using one of our third party partners), using management tools you already use on-Prem when your customer subscribes to vCloud Air Disaster Recovery, they will be able to select vCloud Air as a backup destination for their VMs within vCloud Director (see link below for a tutorial video demonstration of this action).  vCloud Air Disaster Recovery using vSphere replication to manage failover and failback of the virtual machines.  It does not require a separate, purchase everything necessary to facilitate backup and restore is included in the price of subscription vCloud Air Disaster Recovery.

  If the client experiences a disaster, they will be able to turn the virtual machines that they were back up to the cloud (up to 15 minutes RPO), in the Air of vCloud.  They have 30 days to use their ability subscribed free of charge, with the possibility of adding more resources, if necessary.

• vCloud API for private cloud / backwards?

  Sorry for the question of novice.  For API vCloud, VMware provides a cloud application on vCenter server endpoint?  It might be useful for my internal private cloud (and I did not need to develop the additional layer on top of my vCenter server).

  From coffee to speak today, I understand that vCloud what API should talk of endpoint of cloud which is implemented by the provider of public/external cloud services (vCloud Express partner).

  For private/inside cloud based on vSphere, we could use vSphere SDK to speak directly to the cloud.  If the vCenter server shows the implementation of vCloud API, I could use the same code (based on the vCloud API) to talk to the public/external and internal/private clouds.

  Hi Kong,

  vCenter Server does not expose endpoint vCloud API at this time.  VCloud Express partners expose endpoints that will be produced computing cloud of VMware that sits on top of vCenter Server.

• Web service for private cloud OPA connectors

  1. is there a pre-configured for Oracle HCM web services connector? The documentation (which is a web service connection?) specifies that "predefined web service connectors are available for some Oracle applications."

  2 are PL/SQ skills necessary to query and update the data source (Oracle), or the structure of connectors contains of classes/methods/etc, that to do this at a higher level (i.e. just by specifying the details of db connection & fields)?

  I am aware of the example of project (that I'll study in parallel), but just ask quickly here as well.

  I'm not aware of a web services connector pre-built from Oracle for HCM, but it is possible that there is something developed by a partner of Oracle.

  The structure of connectors is really an architecture and a set of definitions of the web services any connector must support. It is possible to build a connector that uses the JDBC API, PL/SQL, other Java API, or call other web services. The main requirement is that it should provide a mapping to something that resembles the structure of the Table/column/line/field expect web services of the OPA.

  Just bought, updated the firmware, and implemented an ix4 - 300 d. I installed the individual cloud, it works very well, but how is the remote web user download an entire folder? I searched for a while and tried various things, without success.

  If anyone is interested in my workaround script, here it is: I needed to compress the file to the "n-1" of my root folder level, that is to say if dir0 is the root and the dir0\dir1\dir2, finish with dir0\dir1\dir2.zipped and no folder under dir1.

  So first of all, I made a script to zip all the files in the current directory, called 'zz.cmd', content:

  Put the two in C:\Windows and just run "Jeannette" at the level of the directory "root" from a command line window, works like a charm, after awhile that all directories are compressed and the source content removed. Do a few tests before of course.

• Download the OPA cloud policy template by using the command line

  Hi OPA developers,.

  Our project aims to automate the migration process models of political Test for Production environment. We use the OPA Cloud Aug2015, but if I understand correctly, we can enter the private cloud installation command-line tool and also run in the cloud.

  So, I downloaded the private cloud, edited the admin.cmd file to indicate download_project and provided the parameters and ran the command line.  However he just kept running and running for more than 15 minutes already, so I closed thinking that there is something wrong.  The zip file I download is only 800ko in size.

  Has anyone been able to use this feature from command line?  Please tell us what I have missed.  (Is there a specific place to save the file admin.cmd to ? Is it supposed to take a long time to complete)

  It comes to the command line, I used:

  You must run the admin.cmd from its original location in the private cloud installation bin directory, but you should immediately get an error if you run it from elsewhere.

  I'm not sure what you mean when you say you "edited the admin.cmd file to indicate download_project and provided the parameters" you should not have to modify this file, just run it with the required parameters as you describe.

  Can you watch the OPA hub management console and see if there is something in the log messages can indicate what could go wrong.

• How to activate the Mobile in the hub of the OPA

  Private cloud 12.1 of the OPA of just downloaded and installed.  Want to test mobile features interviews, but it seems that it is not possible by default to allow interviews or compatible mobile users.  Is this something that needs to be configured, or is this feature not available immediately?

  Hi Faraz,

  If you go to your MySQL database and find the config_property table, you will find a field that will allow mobile, feature_mobile_enabled. The default value is set to off (0) so just it set to 1, then you should get the option of mobile use in the hub of 12.1.

  In the edition of public cloud, you can't control the context path, you simply use the path that you have deployed your modules as the activation URL.

  I tried searching Oracle policy automation Cloud Service Hub see how RightNow and OPA can be exploited to our prospects. We do not have an instance of RightNow with personal OPA_Client and configured OPAServiceProfile.

  How can I access/download 'OPA Hub'? I can't find any information about it in the help documents.

• OPA determinations Server - NoSuchServiceException

  I use Oracle policy Automation Cloud Service may 2013 and affected by a real weird behavior on the server of determinations, which I think is similar to this: OPA 10.4.3 - Oracle.Determinations.Server.Exceptions.NoSuchServiceException. If you make a request for the service of determinations, the next immediate request then fails with a NoSuchServiceException. However, a subsequent request after the exception works again. It alternates for each request, e.g. work, works, works, works not etc. Though I'm viewing the WSDL file on my browser and each update alternates between give the WSDL or the NoSuchServiceException file it's real weird.

  Managed to solve the problem with the support of Oracle in case anyone else gets on it. I guess there not only successfully deploy.

  1 log in as a user with the role of project Admin on OPA - HUB

  2. go into 'projects '.

  3. click on the "" project

  4. click on the link "snapshots."

  5 locate the snapshot currently deployed and click on the link 'cancel the deployment.

  6. click on the button "Cancel the deployment" to cancel the deployment of the project

  7. click on new link "Snapshots", then click on the link "Deploy" next to the snapshot even

  8. Select 'Target' and click on the button 'Deploy' at the end.
