• Configure the image should appear when the student clicks on the "submit" button?

  What I'm trying to do is to make sure a student taking the test, when they click the button submit, an image shows on the slide (essentially to help provide better feedback).  I have a set now standard action for the image to appear, but it does not appear when the user clicks on send, it shows up once the student clicks on screen/press y to continue - after the publication of the initial feedback box.  I want the image appears at the same time as the legend of feedback.

• Color LaserJetPro M177, other: sharing printers of HP network suddenly cannot be installed on the network

  I don't know if this forum is the right place to post a question to the enterprise level.  But here's my problem:

  I work for a public school district.  We have a number of HP laser printers installed in various laboratories and classrooms in the district.  These printers are connected to our network and are shared through our print server, PS1, which runs Windows Server R2 2012.  Until very recently, we have had no problem installing, sharing, and use of these printers in this method.  I mean, basically, use us management of printing on PS1 to create a TCP/IP port, then install the HP drivers for the printer you want, and then create the shared printer.  It is relatively simple.

  However, at some point during 3-4 months, things stopped working.  We can always install printers HP on PS1 as before, namely, but on a client PC (Win7 Pro x 64), when we sail to PS1 and doubleclick, the driver printer to install it, we get a message that says:

  "A policy is in effect on your computer that prevents you to connect to this queue.  Please contact your system administrator. »

  This would seem to indicate a problem within group policy.  But the thing is, we had not brought no change in the strategy of group before the encounter this problem.  (We made some changes after seeing this error, to try to fix it, but nothing works).

  This problem seems to affect all THE HP printers that do not use the universal print driver.  We discovered that, for some reason, the UPD to PCL6, printing, v5.7.0, works fine.  However, not all HP printers are compatible with this driver.   For printers,'re missing us a workaround solution.  We have not had this problem with other printers shared through our print server - such as our brand printer Sharp 30/copiers or printers Brother 15 or more.  Those that all continue to work properly.

  It may be only 64 customers who are affected.  However, as computing has changed strongly in the paradigm of 64-bit, we have a few 32-bit workstations left on our network with which we can test.  And anyway, it wouldn't matter if it DOES not work on 32-bit clients, because all computer is now firmly 64-bit.  We need these drivers to work under a 64-bit paradigm.

  Of course, I checked to make sure that I am downloading the drivers of HP.  Where a printer is not compatible with the universal print driver, I have download Win7 x 64 driver.  Of course I don't want the full installer, so I try to download a barebones driver, if available.  If it is not checked out, I extract it using 7zip.  I then copy them to a directory "drivers" on the print server.  Then I open the server print management, create my port if it does not already exist and then do a right-click drivers and choose "install".  When you are prompted to select a driver to install, I choose "Disk" and navigate to the directory where the driver exists.  After the installation of the driver, I have printers right click and choose "Add a printer", and then I select the driver that I just installed when prompted.

  I then go to a client computer, go to \\PS1 (the server) and select the name of the printer that I want to install in the list of all the printers on PS1.  It is when I get the error described above.  I get this error, regardless of the level of permissions that has my account.  I get when I log using my District business administrator credentials.

  In the event logs on the client machine (Microsoft/Windows/PrintService/Admin), I get the following message after one of these attempts to pilot install:

  The print spooler could not import the printer driver that has been downloaded from \\ps1\print$\x64\PCC\ntprint.inf_amd64_a7ac65d1b7714fb1.cab in the driver store for the driver HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177 PCLmS. code error = 800f024b. This can happen if there is a problem with the driver or the digital signature of the driver.

  The printer that generated this message was a Color LaserJet Pro M177, but we have lived this message with any other HP printer models, including the LaserJet P3015.

  What is more revealing, in Journal of the client PC to install (c:\windows\inf\setupapi.dev.log), any attempt to install one of these 'broken' HP drivers generates the following output:

  It's the only omission or error that appears in the setupapi.dev.log, then it would be to think that it is the real culprit - Windows does not allow the installation of the driver, because it cannot verify the digital signature of the UNIRES. DLL, which rained investigatoin reveals himself as one files contained in hpcm177_64.cab.

  So.  HP.  Does this mean that you ship pilots who incorrectly signed?  Or maybe you adjust Unires.dll in these pilots AFTER their signature?  Or is it possible that the problem is a kind of problem of configuration on our side?  Or is this question is beyond the scope of this forum of HP?  If this is the case, please direct me to where I could ask this question to a more receptive ear?

  I think I found the root cause of the problem.  Ran across this post by Doug_Wright also on the HP forums:

  He said he received the same exact message we get when trying to install a printer on the network: "a policy is in effect on your computer that prevents you to connect to this queue."

  He said: "turns out be an update of KB3170455print spooler security.»  Uninstall this update fixed the issue. »

  I have tested this fix on my network, and it has indeed solved the problem.  After removing KB3170455 from a post test and restart, we once more able to install this worsktation HP network printers without receiving the message 'political prevents you to connect.

  However, some additional tests will be needed, as corrected by KB3170455 vulnerabilities are certainly valid - and my network is a public school district, it is certainly still 'at risk' for attacks of students wishing to test their abilities of "piracy".  But even still, it's good to finally know what really is the cause of this problem.  Before, I was grabbing at straws.

  No problemo.  I don't know (or I've read) that a lot of singles and other complex malware infections come from competition between technically interested high school students.  Today test: who can write the most annoying and difficult to remove malware!  (of course, it is all for fun).

  I think some malicious software also knows bleepingcomputer.com too.  I don't think she feels particularly threatened by some other forums however.  The authors do pay attention to some things you know.

  If you want to run ComboFix, I suggest that understand you what you will do if your system does not start after running ComboFix.

  For example, you can install on your system first XP Recovery Console.  ComboFix will try to install the RC for you if it is not already installed, but sometimes that is going smoothly.

  If you don't have a way to install or start in the recovery of a bootable CD Console, consider creating a CD of first bootable XP Recovery Console. (no media XP required).

  You can't have a problem with ComboFix, but she is dynamic and changes frequently and sometimes can cause disturbances to you are not prepared in advance, you can have trouble recovering.

  You choose the wrong system variable. I guess you want to check the score, not the maximum score?

• In adobe Captivate, I wish that the person taking the quiz to write their name and then the name is displayed on the page of the score.  Someone knows how to do this?

  I have the lessons created using Captivate using my high school students.  I would like to the student taking the test type in their name and make it appear on the page of the score so that they can not share the results.

  Otherwise, children can make these for HW and share with their friends.

  I recently lost my webmaster and had to pick up my updates of site Internet for my business while looking for a new webmaster.  I'm not very familiar with CS5, but remained with the basics.  My company Web site is www.fivebuglesinstitute.com.  On the "Students" and "Contact us" pages, the links at the bottom of the page a link to a page of test instead of the current page, and a 404 error is received by clicking on the links.

  Looking at the code, it seems to be text not editable to the changes/remove incorrect page references.    Here is the code that I see (gray):

• Timer display for a number of slides

  Hey once again. Here's the scenario: students take a test in which there are about 5 slides where they write answers. To complete this article, they have 10 minutes. I placed a slide for each question, so I inserted the clock widget on the first slide in the group. However, I have not found a way to change the name of the variable of the widget, or an action that can have the widget shown for these 5 slides. I've upgraded Cp 7 to the newere Cp 8 64-bit

  Have you used a real widget or a timer interactions? Name can be changed in the properties panel, on top. And so the clock widget and timing/hourglass interactions may be time for the rest of the project. This blog has been for the widget, but perhaps he can clarify something:

  I have a star schema - lite with only 2 tables of dimension and fact table 1. The many-to-many relationship with a classic table resolver/intersection.
  
  For the purposes of discussion, let's take arrays of student/test-score standards. Student Test are the dimensions and the Score is the fact. In addition to capture the result, the requirement is to capture a snapshot of the student and test attributes (dimension) when music is recorded.

  You could replicate the student (such as address) attributes and the attributes of the test set out in the scoreboard. (I'll just talk about the attributes of the student in the future, but what I say applies to check attributes as well). When change the attributes of the student, just update the student. While students take tests, copy the information in the partition table, possibly using a trigger. Is very easy to get the historical information: everything is in the partition table, and you need not even join. It is difficult to change history information. For example, if you enter an incorrect address, then you can just update the student table. You must decide if this incorrect address was copied to all lines of the partition table and update these lines too.

  Another approach (the approach I use most often) is to maintain the historical lines in the student table, who needs the column start_date and end_date indicating where this line was in effect. It is an approach more noramlized and requires less storage space. You can make it more effective by having separate tables of student and student_history: 1 row / studying in the student table, 1 or more lines (including the current information) in the student_history table. When you have that concerned by the recent student data, you don't have to find out who is the current line for each student.

  Using Captivate 6, I created a quiz with 20 questions randomly from a pool of 60 questions question. Once a student passes the test in LMS, is it possible to display the real questions and answers, as well as the actual mark, that the student has obtained? As it is, it is impossible for the student to challenge their score if we can't show the actual questions and answers.  Thank you

  What you ask is normally the functionality of the LMS. You do not specify if you are using an LMS?

  The Oracle 11 g Release 2 database: review SQL Tuning is still in beta at least until November 24, 2012. Beta versions have been known to be extended. Even if this isn't the case, the examination of the production is not available before mid-January 2013 about. I had one experience with a beta. I hated and will never be another. There is little reason to do so, and most importantly (reduced cost) is not important to me because my company reimburses the cost of my essay, so I don't really care about the savings. They take several times longer to complete and I was a mess at the time that I finished that I did with a headache roaring through a large part of the review.

  That said - answering your question:

  1Z0-047 is a really complicated test. The questions and answers are designed to mislead. There is a reason for that. SQL, by its very nature, is a fairly simple language. Part of its appeal, is that it is easy to understand and write. If the people who wrote the essay was not gone to their best to make the deliberately convoluted SQL code, then it would not have required skills 'experts' to pass. It is much more difficult to read and diagnose poorly written SQL as well written SQL.

  I also took the test Application Express Expert: 1Z0-450. The questions that it were not written in a deliberately confusing manner. However, they had need intimate knowledge of the interface of the Apex. Because it was possible to write questions 'hard' without having to make them deliberately more obscure, the questions were simpler. I did not review SQL Tuning (as I said... no more betas for me), but I suspect that it will be similar to 1Z0-450 has enough information "at the level of experts" to write questions on that test will not attempt to write "hard" questions

  Not sure what is in the test. This is excellent news. Student for the test will teach you a lot of new things about writing and tuning SQL. In my posts, a concept is repeated again and again. The value of certification is not make a piece of paper to stick in a workbook. The value comes to what new skills you gain in is about to pass the test. If you do not know the information and that you are not studying for the test, Yes, you will not pass. If you prepare for the test until you do understand the objectives, then you should be able to pass the test.

  What study guide?

  None does not yet exist. There is no doubt that I will write a review study guide. It won't be until some time after the test is in production. • Unexpected break to the COP6 with quiz.

  Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I've not found anywhere.

  In a module that I created, a quiz is dispersed on the length of the module so that students get intermittent "Test your knowledge" questions. By the way: they are not classified in this regard, they just need to get feedback and move. All questions are MC (some multiple single answer, some). In quiz preferences, I am hosting several attempts.

  On the request of the customer, they should be able to return to the exercise at any time again. Regardless of whether or not they answered the question correctly.

  This means that the quiz all the reset after each question answered. In CP5, the solution was to simply 'jump' the quiz to a blank slide and jump to the slide after the question answered. I noticed that in CP6, it's different: actually go beyond the results slide (hidden in my case) to reset.

  The solution is then in this case to access a blank slide before the result slide. This slide does nothing more than to continue. You also need a blank slide after the landslide results. On this slide, entrance, I created an action that takes the module to the next slide after the slide in question that I left in the first place. Our quiz results slide is always at the end of the module.

  Example: If the results of the quiz was slide 30, I created a blank slide 30 and a blank slide 32 with the 31 quiz results slide. Slide 31 is hidden, but miraculously, Captivate the increments of the quiz number attempt if I'll blade 30-32.

  Then, I still need to return to the slide of the question, or in fact, the next slide in the theory in the module (as I said, this isn't a test at the end, the questions are dispersed on the module).

  That's what I came with:

  First of all, I created the 'QuestionSlideLeft' variable (init: 0)

  Leaving the question slide, I run a peak called QuestionSlideLeft action that does the following:

  "Expression - equal to CpInfoCurrentSlide + 0 QuestionSlideLeft"

  I added a second line with 'Continue' for good measure. In the properties of quiz I make the leap to my blank slide before the slide results (in my example "Jump to Slide 30' for success and failure.

  On the slide after slide of results, I run dvanced BackToNextSlide action

  'Assign cpCmdGotoSlide with QuestionSlideLeft' + continue and I added go to next page for good measure. This next slide should go to cpCmdGotoSlide.

  The funny thing is: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. After some hair pulling, curse, blowing steam, it now seems to be due to a unexpected break on the first of the two empty slides, i.e. one that precedes the slides. If I saw you post with the playback bar, I can click on the Play button and it will execute advanced action.

  So, basically, my question is: is that what someone has had the same experience and how can I fix this problem? If I do something wrong, I would appreciate it much comment. I have discussed with our expert resident of Captivate and he doessn t know the answer either.

  Thought I had posted my workflow in January some time, but cannof it find. That's what I use in CP7, but I suspect it works very well in 6 establishments. BTW: what version of 6 because he had 3 releases?

  Principle is that when you provide the attempts of infinity (or many) Quiz level, once you get to the slide of Score, the next attempt can be started. If you pass a question score slide slide (you must have this visible one) and return to the slide of the question, answer is deleted because a new Quiz attempt began.

  Create a reset button for the question slide and allow it to trigger an action of standard tip with two instructions:

  1. Go to "slide to score."
  2. Go to last visited Slide

  In Captivate 7 I turned into a shared action, only the parameter being the number or label of the slide to score and it can be reused in any project.

• Several boxes of choice option not able to be selected

  I created a quiz of multiple choice in Captivate 5 and the published swf file. I copied this file into multiple files in a network drive. When students take the test, some are not able to select radio buttons on a question. The question and the user varies with this problem. Seems to work if participants run the html file. Any suggestions?

  All participants MUST be using the files HTM and JS that returns the Captivate.  The reason for which that some users may not have success might have something to do with them having only not the LAN configured as a trusted file location in their security settings global folder of Flash Player.

  You would be well advised to move your content to a web server and provide each with a URL link to the HTM file.  Reduction of the risk of problems with playback.

  Dear forum members.

  I'm working with acrobat professional 7.0.5. My pdf document is a tool for learning, preparing students for a test. I have contains hundreds of questions under each question there are three answers, one of them is good.

  Example:

  What is the name of the American president?

  (a) Clinton

  (b) Obama

  (c) Reagan

  If I move my mouse over the issue, a small window should open with the right answer.

  I tried to use the "add a note". I placed a note next to the question. When I move the mouse over the note icon a window opens and show me the answer. So far so good. Here my questions:

  (a) if I click on the note another comment window opens. How can I avoid this window to open it?

  (b) if I open my PDF with "Preview" and I click on one of the notes all notes will be open. How to avoid it?

  (c) do you have tips how I can create my question catalog?

  The button «Draw near...» "shows what I mean. The other button must not contain an image, but can have just a label is the right answer.
