• on the use of LLB, Subvi and project

  I have heaps of subroutines will necessary for all projects of development on the same computer. For a long time, I wrap each of these subprogrammes as a separate Subvi and call the Subvi when necessary. But I just saw that someone will build a LLB in contains all these Subvi. It will be the same to build the LLB or separate from the Subvi? So, what's the advantage of using LLB? I have seen that the builtin functions are all grouped together in a LLB. So if I create my LLB, where should I put this LLB so it will appear in the main palette?

  It's really no use for an llb. It was mainly used to store screws with long names - names that were not supported in the early days of the transition from the BACK. Storing files in a Bachelor's degree in labor law is a bit risky because a single corrupt VI will make everything unreadable llb.   Magi,

  The Subvi terminals will always have a value when the Subvi back.  If you do not set any other value, the value will be the default value. Add a Boolean result to the Subvi to indicate if it has expired or it terminates normally.  That test boolean in primary VI to see if the data value is valid or not.

  The questions you are asking are quite fundamental to how LabVIEW. I suggest you sepnd online some time with the tutorials on getting started with LabVIEW. What you learn, it will be over for the time spent to ask fundamental questions.

  The VI property Exec.RunOnOpen is not necessary - if you are using Server VI, this property is ignored - and your using the method run a VI in any case.

  I think that your problem is with the configuration of your reference open VI. If you set the entry to zero (0) options it works? It does for me. And if I said that admission to 8, it load in edit mode.

  The problem that I believe is in the detail of the reference open Help content. When the reference is destroyed in the server called VI VI VI is shorter.

• Some nodes of property subVIs and graphics seem not to complete all actions unless I look at them.

  I have a few subVIs in use which take the server references to graphics and images and add sliders, establish the limits and the pixel values min/max value.  Sometimes a couple of sliders don't prepare you, or one of the limits will be bad, etc.  If I open the Subvi and place probes or preserve values to see what numbers are passed, everything is running and all of the sliders are defined.  I also had this problem outside a Subvi with a property node affecting 16-bit values min and max of pixels. I checked, and the same / correct are passed to all the nodes property, as are the correct references.  The Subvi always run correctly by operating later in the calling VI, only during initialization do they sometimes fail.

  So I tried to unifying the property node, but that has no effect.  It turns out be related to writing data in the chart before you set the sliders and the mini/maxi.  Even if the chart has not been set on autoscale, it seems that it is be re-scheduled somewhat when the data has been written.

  Yes, a way if you create your state machine using a shift register (with Enum or string) located on the while loop around the structure of the event. Note that the time-out period of the structure of the event that creates random numbers at certain intervals. You may have your DAQ here. Of course, there are other options, such as the use of two parallel loops in the Subvi, the top loop only for the GUI and dynamic events, and lower node would make data acquisition and even hold the state machine logic...

  Thought I would let you know that I've finally sorted this! :)

  In another forum I read a post from someone who had a similar problem and solved it by uninstalling the "failures" updated, restart the PC and then re-run the update. It worked! It had not occurred to me to try what I've assumed that 'impossible' meant that they had not installed at all, not that they didn't had simply not installed correctly and must have become corrupt.

  I hope this will help someone else who has the same problem, I've had!

  This is not possible, that both jad and cod is necessary to install an OTA application. the jad file contains a description of the application, the cod is the real application.
