Suddenly slow Firefox
I would appreciate any help with this problem.
I'm suddenly having trouble with Firefox. When I try to enter any field open on an open monitor, there is a significant lag between pressing the keys and the characters that appear on the screen.
It started two days ago. I added not all add ons for Firefox itself. I have download a program for reading magazines called Zinio.
Other programs, including the Explorer, work correctly. I downloaded a new copy of Firefox but also tried to update the program, and neither helped.
Could Zinio cause a problem in Firefox? Is there something else that could cause this problem?
I am running Windows 7 on a Dell computer that has less than two years.

Symptom: Firefox takes a while to come in Windows XP. Further, it takes awhile to load my start page.
Symptom: Open a Google search results page, click on my first choice, it takes too much time; I close this page and select a second choice and it loads immediately. It's not serious if I chose the first choice, second or third first choice and an alternative higher or lower in the list as the second choice.
I have been running Spybot Search and Destroy, Ccleaner and have the Essentials Microsoft anti-virus.
I used the Auslogics DiskDefrag to optimize and defrrag.
SOLUTION:
I have downloaded and run the scan of full file from Malwarebytes (Trial), which required a restart of the computer when it was over, having found four Trojan horses, as well as all the files quarantined, set aside by CCleaner. I deleted everything in the list and restarted Windows (first time).I ran another file full scan with Malwarebytes and found four files. Nothing in memory, nothing in the registry. I deleted these and restart Windows for the second time.
Now Firefox comes right to the top, Google opens in the first tab immediately, I open the new tab and select Gmail and it comes right to the top without delay.
My problem with slow response time Firefox was malware. One of the malware is a configuration of player I recently downloaded... can not disabled albums say which player was. He may have been infected to its source, or it may have been infected on my computer when I got here.
I post this 'question' as a report on the solution I've found for a slow running Firefox.
My first question with a slow Firefox came after a series of events, I'll try to recall here:
I had a decent response from Firefox.
I downloaded and ran Auslogics DiskDefrag, after defragmentation and optimization, I've always had good response from Firefox.
I downloaded a dirty file, I can not say where.
I downloaded Auslogics BoostSpeed, that scans something like five categories and allows the free cleaning of a category. Without purchasing a license, this product is limited to cleaning the first category selected from this moment for free. I chose clean wasted space.from first time several options available.
Now, I had a slow Firefox.
I got rid of BoostSpeed. I'm not accusing anything here, but I was looking for a cause.
I had lance CCleaner, Spybot S & D, AdwCleaner and used the Microsoft Essentials. for the AV.
Even a slow Firefox. I ran the two scans of complete file more restart using Maywarebytes (Trial) and Firefox is quick to come, Google loading and meet my selection in the new tab.
A lot of people complain about Firefox is slow. I discovered the reason in my case, why it was.

Oh. -Add-ons that I used:
Memory Fox 7, 4 - in Options set to minimum nothing selected with a check mark and wait timesRAMBack 1.0 (there are no options)
1.16 - this add-on memory restart minimize Firefox memory usage when it hits a threshold of 229 MB, shows a red button if I'm on, green if I'm under.
Original value of the threshold was 500 MB, that was too high for me.
These three modules are really a lifesaver and prevent Firefox from locking system memory and put the computer to a crawl. With the good memory management, I'm also less problem with scripts not responding do not. In fact, I can listen to a playlist of YouTube.
I highly recommend these three.

Have you noticed the activity HARD drive at the moment?It is not easy to say what the problem is here, but probably some background process may be responsible for this. Start your computer in safe mode and check it out.

Sorry, when an update is interrupted, it can happen. Please start by creating a new profile. There is no data in it, but it will get us started.
You will start the Firefox profile manager using the Windows Run dialog box (hold down the Windows key and tap R) or the system Windows 10 search box. Paste the following and press ENTER:
firefox.exe -P
This should start a small window.
Click on the button to create a profile, assign a name like OldSettings and ignore the ability to move the profile folder. After you create the profile, select it and start Firefox in this profile.
I guess that Firefox works?

XPS 8700 suddenly slow restart and check
My 8700 previously fast Dell with 12 GB of ram has suddenly slowed to a crawl when restarting or commissioning. The problem occurs before any hard drive activity starts. So, when I reboot, and after that the shutdown procedure occurs, the screen goes into mode "Eve" (orange), white light button / stop of the Tower remains on. The computer is then silent for about five minutes before the screen comes alive, turns on the led drive activity, and the start-up procedure occurs. From this point, start-up is fast.
If I turn off completely, when I boot, the power light turns white, the display shows a Dell logo in a circle. There is no Caterpillar goes in a circle of about five minutes. There is no disk activity. Suddenly, after having sat there, the Caterpillar appears and the computer starts up quickly from that moment. Basically, the Dell logo without Caterpillar takes several minutes when it is used to take a few seconds. If I hit F12, it won't beep until after five minutes is complete. So, the problem is very early in the boot process, I guess.
I shut down the computer, pulled out the plug. Removed all USB cords. Holding the switch down for thirty seconds, then re-inserted all the cords and propelled upwards. That does not solve the problem.
I have the BIOS A03 delivered installed on this machine that was purchased almost exactly a month ago. I have not tried to update the BIOS for fear that I might make things worse because the computer was fast a week or two ago.
Online diagnostics refuses to start. Have not knowingly changed anything in the BIOS settings. Did not run diagnostics from the F12, but will. Cannot see how to activate the detailed MESSAGE.

All browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) on my new MacBook Pro are suddenly slow?
I have an early 2015, retina refurbished 13-inch MacBook Pro with 8 GB of memory running with El Capitan 10.11.6.
Last week, I noticed when I try to use any browser, it is ridiculously slow. It takes 5 + minutes just to load a single page. I tried deleting history/caching of files, I tried to change my DNS, I tried to open a space on the computer by moving large files on an external hard drive, and I tried to reinstall OS X. I have no idea what is the problem and I don't find much in trying to Google the problem.
Any ideas that might help?

Deleting messages in Thunderbird suddenly slow
Only for the last month or three Thunderbird has become extremely slow to delete messages. It is not my antivirus. I still use Windows Defender, and nothing has changed there. I use Windows 8.1. Thunderbird has worked well until recently, and then all of a sudden it began to take 10 seconds or more to delete each message. Multiply that by 20 or 30 messages per day, and it's a waste of real time.
There seems to be a bottleneck logical files somewhere must work quickly, regardless of the size. If random or sequential filing, 100 records or 100,000 records, should be just as fast. Tells me that the logic is messed up somewhere. I am a professional programmer with 35 years of experience. None of my other programs have slowed. No other part of the Thunderbird has slowed down - only delete messages. I tried cleaning trash, compressing files, etc.
Studying of opinion: logical bug.

Before taking the drastic decision to create a new profile, an easier step is to safe mode (which also is a good first step in Firefox):

In Mac Os Sierra why is he suddenly slow opening of folders of bookmarks in the sidebar of Safari?
Since the installation of Mac Os Sierra I'm suddenly affected by a very slow opening and closing bookmark next to Safari bar files when I click on them. Regularly, it takes 3 seconds for a file to open or close to display the list of bookmarks in a file. Does anyone else know this? Trying to solve the problem, I have repaired the Mac HD, emptied all my caches in the library in the Finder, reset the PRAM and am now ideas.
Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in the Preferenes system, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolate a problem by using a different user account
If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account. Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

If it works in safe mode, try to run this program when it is started normally, copy and paste the result in a response. The program was created by Etresoft, a regular contributor. This week my MacBook Pro 13 inch (end 2011) started to run slowly. The slowdown mainly occurs during internet browsing. I tried clearing my cache, reset my SMC and read other similar topics and followed their advice.

I do a lot of cut and paste for the recipes on all recipes.com. When I cut and paste in MS Word and then return to the Web site, Firefox seems to go in the "snail" mode. If I close Firefox and come back again I can cut and paste into MS Word but then Firefox slows down just once again. Tried to make a few changes as suggested on the site of Firefox to not available. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).
Then perform the following steps:
- Open the Firefox Options window as follows, click on the menu button
then select Options.
- In the Options of Firefox window, click the Advanced tab, and then select general.
- You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
- Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.
- Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
- Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu

- Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.

It seems the newer version of Firefox, it gets the slower. What is the BEST version to download to use? This used to be a fast browser, now it takes 10 minutes to load. I did all this mentioned on the historic authorized help page, hides, scanned the computer, deleted Firefox and reinstalled, but it does not work.
Chrome runs circles around Firefox, it will load in 10 seconds approximately and will work in MANY games better Firefox - using games is totally impossible with Firefox. I need to know which version is the fastest and has the best notes. It looks newer, it gets, the worse it works.

I have the same problem with Firefox 25.0.1. It happened months and I'm tired of it. I can't even watch a video in Firefox - YouTube or something - because it is always too rough. I don't have this problem with Chrome or Opera. And Chrome is lightning fast.
I won't try Firefox in Mode without failure. Why should I? I will not uninstall other browsers, remove plugins (I don't really have a lot and they work very well in Chrome and Opera), or remove a file called User.js, if I have it. It is a bunch of nonsense. Firefox 25.0.1 works, or is not, without having to do all these things. So, I do not use Firefox any longer.

Very slow Firefox loading pages
So many pages are really slow loading as minute, as Courier hot.EE youtube and many more. It started to happen when I updated to 20.0. Looked up a few suggestions and found that everything: config network.http.keep - alive using fake. And so I did and it worked, but the next time I opened firefox again, that it was slow to load again, but persistent is always false, all non disabled necessary plugins and extensions and I don't seem to find a solution. Been a user of firefox for a long time and do not want to change my browser.
The new profile seems to work very well - don't know for how long, but we'll see how that goes.
