support of hotkey in Windows 7

Hello

I have improved my SL500 from Vista to Windows 7. I used the Lenovo system update but still I can't find a lot of functions, I had on my laptop before. I know that I can download most of the futures of pages web lenovo. What gives me headaches is the shortcuts keyboard. For example, the volume control on the left side of my keyboard (under the blue lenovo care button) doesn't work same with shortcut to adjust brightness etc...

Is there a simple program to download that would guarantee that my laptop would be like on Vista when I bought it? If this is not the case, what are all the programs that I have to install for my lenovo uttilities like I'm used too.

Thanks a lot for your kind replies.

Martin

Don't forget to check with the help of the manufacturer of the device as their may be a newer version, if necessary
    still in beta.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Some Queestions regarding end of Support & Malware Protection in windows 8

    Hello..

I use windows 8 company on my desktop pc (3 GHz Intel Pentium D, internal chart of 256 MB, 1 GB of RAM)...

    Question 1-

I read on the diagram of lifecycle on the Microsoft Web site, "customers have 24 months to switch to Windows 8.1 after general availability to remain supported. See Windows 8.1 FAQ for more information"- does that mean? right next to it, it was written that this window of 8 standard support ends 01/09/2018... so, how do we have 24 months to upgrade? Pls explain. I feel like I'm on a sinking ship while using windows 8... :(

    Question 2-

My internet connection is measured. so I disabled the windows updates to backup my data. According to my knowledge, I think that, when support ends, only the "windows updates" function won't work, right? I'll be able to install other applications of office & windows store apps even after support for purposes of windows 8?

    Question 3-

I can fully count on the defender of windows for windows 8 for the security of my PC? I have a doubt if it blocks online attacks or not...  Also, windows Defender will receive definition updates after the end of support for windows 8?

    ------

Thanks in advance to all Seraphim :)

Question for you: why don't you not upgrade to 8.1 of Windows and the subsequent update 1 for Windows 8.1?

It isn't a thing of charges and if you do it right (backup, make sure system image backup, data of course your device drivers are updated to the manufacturers, updated to Windows 8.1) - the risk is minimal all the problems arising (this is an update, there are always risks to perform or not their fulfillment).  Assuming that it is only your Internet meter - you must learn to work around that.

Another link Internet (even another computer) allows to get the ISO for 8.1...
    http://www.CNET.com/how-to/how-to-download-the-official-Microsoft-Windows-8-1-ISO/
Create a DVD or a USB stick to it and use it to update.  If you have Enterprise edition, as you said, someone in your organization must understand how to proceed.

You can also use the "other Internet connection, etc." to get the update 1...

    http://www.ExtremeTech.com/computing/178091-how-to-download-and-install-Windows-8-1-update-1-for-free-right-now

... According to the instructions it six updates.

Overall, no matter what, you'd be better to have the latest edition of the operating system that you have chosen to use that to hang on some old version of the above operating system.

  • Disable the HP Support OSD hotkey

    Hello

I have a HP Probook 6550 b and just downloaded/installed the latest version of HP Hotkey support on Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit) to allow my keyboard shortcuts work correctly.

I noticed there is a pop up on the screen every time num/caps/ScrollLock lights, how can I disable this?

It is very annoying because I travel often in and out of the machine virtual windows and the OSD keeps popping up in the corner of my eye all the time.

    Looking forward to your response.

  • Supported satellite M110 and Windows 7

    G ' Day all,

I'm trying to help my daughter with her:
    ___Manufacturer: Toshiba
    ___Family: satellite M110
    ___Model: PSMBOA - 01J00D

Can someone tell me if this model will run Windows 7 and where to find the drivers?

    Thank you

    Pat Garard

According to Toshiba Australia support page your laptop is supported for Windows XP Home and Vista 32-bit edition only.
In any case, I'm sure that you can run Win7 on this model of laptop. Many Vista drivers can be used and also older hardware will be installed after updating Win7.

So to install Win7 and check the Device Manager to see which components of the material must be installed. First chipset Vista display driver and Win7 update utility.

Just be patient and I think that after several reboots over the components will be installed.
    Test it.

  • Satellite L40 - 17R - FN Volume Hotkey problem - Windows XP

    Hello

    I recently bought satellite L40 - 17R (PSL4CE) without a preinstalled OS. I installed Windows XP Home Edition SP2.

Then I installed all the drivers, that I found for this model on the site of Toshiba driver. I've even updated BIOS.
After this, all Fn keys works fine * except those responsible for volume control (Fn + up/down, Esc) *.
I searched the forum for the solution of this problem and found this topic

Also when I specify the "Driver Type" field in the search engine there is not a driver Package in the search result.

Can someone tell me where to find the Driver Package, ATK Hotkey Utility or ATK Hotkey Driver for Satellite L40 + Win XP?
