  I downloaded the Studio Edition 11.1.2.4.0 Windows Installer (jdevstudio11124install.exe).
  During installation, I used JDK provided as part of the install file.
  
  When I tried to start it I got the message
  "Java version 1.6.0_24 not supported. The minimum version required is 1.6.0_35. "

  After downloading and installing 'jdk-6u43-windows - x 64 .exe' I walked into "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_43" which allowed me to run JDeveloper.
  
  Maybe I missed something, but it seems strange that the installation file comes with a version of Java not supported, right?

  Thanks for reporting this. It was an oversight on our part.

  Just a quick recap for all those who may come across this post more later. In JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0, to group us JDK 1.6 update 24 in (jdevstudio11124install.exe and jdevstudio11124install.bin) platform-specific installation programs. We had originally planned to capture and include a newer version of the JDK 1.6 in the 11.1.2.4.0 version, but due to reasons I will not here go into, we have been unable to do. However, we had already begun to change some of the user interface (more precisely the error message you get started if you are using a version of the JDK does not support) based on the JDK version that is presumed, and we have failed to regularize this UI change.

  So, it follows that the JDK 1.6 update 24 is the minimum version required for 11.1.2.4.0. The message error say otherwise is our error. Needless to say, it's rather embarrassing, and we want to solve this problem as soon as possible. In the coming days, we intend to publish an 11.1.2.4.0 update release with this code, return to the display of an error only for versions prior to version 1.6 update 24 JDK.

  What should you do? If you do not see the error (because you are using JDK 1.6 update 35 or higher, or you are on a non-Windows platform), you don't need to make any changes. If, however, you see this error and you want to go far, you can either install a JDK 1.6 update 35 or later version (instructions on how to do so are caught later in this thread) or you can re - download and re-install JDeveloper a few days from now, when we release the update. In this update, the only included bug fix will be to change the condition in which the error is reported. There will not be a corresponding update ADF version, because this problem applies only to the Launcher JDeveloper on Windows code.

  We apologize for the confusion and thank you for your continued support.

• I just download the latest Java Version 7 update 25 update build 1.7.0_25 - b16 and all hell broke loose with FF, nothing, but nothing works.

  I just downloaded the latest updates of Java Version 7 update 25 build 1.7.0_25 - b16 and hell is loose with my FF.

  I guess that you have administrator privileges on your machine...

  Half the time, this problem can be fixed by going into the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs, uninstall Java, then reinstall Java from the web.

  The other half of the time, the uninstall will fail.  In this case, run the uninstall troubleshooting utility to this page:

  I have a small pc based on Linux, Firefox running in kiosk mode. The pc is not connected to the Internet and only has access to a dedicated server under my control, serving a few Web pages and a java applet.   Answer to my own post:

  Out of all the solutions posted about Java install problems, I was able to glean one thing: a re-installation of Java and a reinstall of Firefox may well resolve the issue.

  Well, for me, so far, he has.

  The simple steps I followed:

  1. Create Restore Point (Control Panel, search for "Create a Restore Point")
  2 uninstall my version of Java (Panel, "Uninstall a program")
  3 reset
  4. Download Firefox latest version (for me, was the 19.0.2, version in my downloads folder)
  5. download AND install the latest Java (now version 7, updated 17 @java.com)
  6 reboot
  7 install the latest Firefox ("Firefox Setup 19.0.2" application-double-click in my downloads folder)
  8A started Firefox (NOTE: my current extensions and plugins are not affected) and went to my favorite site that requires Java.
  9 THANK GOD, it worked! (NOTE: he did ask me if I wanted to RUN THIS APPLICATION)

  I had this same problem and fixed it by adding the package icedtea6-plugin on Ubuntu. IcedTea6-plugin is a plugin for web browser to run Java applets.

  2. you receive an error code or message?

  3 is confined to a particular Web site or all Web sites?

  As you have disabled the other versions, I suggest you to other or old versions of Java to uninstall and install Java Version 6 Update 17 and check the issue.

• How to solve this problem of ASDM and Anyconnect VPN with same java version?

  Hi two things that I can't the same Java version. I want to launch ASDM and also be able to connect on the web page through web browser (SSL vpn). Java is a pain. If my PC uses java 1.6.0.32. the ASDM is easily accessible, but cannot open my web page through web browser. If I install java 7, the Web page can be opened, but ASDM cannot be opened.   You can probably try 2 things here: -.
  Please go to control panel > Java > go to the Security tab > lower to medium security.
  You can also use Java version 45.
