Supprimer delete photos on iPhone, keep on mac using ICloud?

Hello! How do I remove photos from my iPhone and always keep them on my mac? I use iCloud and have about 50 GB of Photos on my phone. My plan is bigger than that, but again, I don't want to have that many photos on my iPhone (but keep them on my mac). Is this possible? I tried to import on my Mac, but it doesn't show me all the pictures are on my phone. It shows me about 3000 instead of 11000... TIA

Julievite g ' Day,.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you want to remove photos from your iPhone, but still keep the photos on your Mac. Use the article import pictures and videos from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to import all the photos from your iPhone to your Mac, more specifically, this section:

Import into your Mac.

You can use Photos for OS X to import photos from your iOS device to your Mac without using iCloud photo library. This procedure also works for the import of images from digital cameras and SD cards.

  1. Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or digital camera to your Mac with a USB cable. If you use an SD card, insert it into the SD slot on your Mac, or connect using a card reader.
  2. You need to unlock your iOS device using your access code. You can also see a prompt on the device iOS asking you to Trust This Computer. Tap the confidence to continue.
  3. On your Mac, the Photos app automatically opens. If not, open the Photos app.
  4. The Photos app shows a screen of import with all photos and videos that can be found on the connected device. If the import screen does not automatically appear, click the Import tab at the top of the Photos app, or click on the name of the device in the sidebar of Photos.
  5. To import a selection of photos, click the ones you want, and then click Import selection. To import all new pictures, click Import all Photos again.
  6. Once the import is complete, a message asks if you want to delete or keep the photos on your device. Click on remove items to remove photos or click on keep items to keep them on the device.
If you select keep items, you will need to remove them directly from your device when you want to remove.
  7. You can now disconnect your device from your Mac. If you imported photos from an SD card or USB, safely eject the device first device.

Imported photos appear in the album last import of the Photos app.

Photos and videos that sync you from your computer on your device iOS through iTunes can be imported to your computer.

Know what to do If you can not import pictures from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer.

Once you have made sure all the photos have been imported to your Mac, you can then safely remove them from your iPhone. The iPhone user guide has the steps to remove photos from your iPhone, in particular, this section:

Delete a picture or video from pictures. Click on the Photos tab, tap the photo or video, press on , then press to remove the Photo or video delete. Deleted photos and videos are stored in the album recently deleted on iPhone, with a badge showing the remaining days until the item is permanently deleted from the iPhone. To permanently delete the photo or video before the days expire, tap the item, tap on delete, then remove the Photo or video delete. If you use iCloud photo library, deleted photos and videos are permanently removed from all your devices using iCloud photo library with the same Apple ID.

See you soon!

It is a recurring problem that seems to come and go without making adjustments or modifications to the software.

When I delete photos from my iPhone (to free up space) remove all devices and also on my desk.

I have to go recently deleted and restore them, but then they are again on my iPhone and all devices.

I hear often is not supposed to be the way it happens, but I don't know where the problem is.  It's my iCloud, my prefs iCloud on my computer, my iPhone settings?  This has plagued me since September.  It comes and it goes, and whenever I think I have it under control, it starts again.

Any ideas of references?  My computer is brand new.  But I cloned all the info from the other computer.

  • How to remove photos from iphone, but no computer and icloud?

I want to delete the photos from my iphone, but keep them in my computer and my icloud. I want to have more space in my iphone.

If you have iCloud enabled library, all the photos that you delete from your phone will be deleted to iCloud and other devices connected to this library to iCloud. The more you can do to reduce storage required on the phone is to activate settings > iCloud > Photos > optimize iPhone storage.

Apple does not currently cloud storage options only. You can suggest that more options are available through http://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html

  • If all of my pictures are on iCloud can I delete from my iPhone without losing anything in iCloud?

Only, I expanded my iCloud to 200 GB storage so that all my photos on my iPhone can be stored via the cloud.  On my phone memory is exhausted and I'm hoping that iCloud allow me to store pictures, videos, docs, etc., so that I can delete it on my phone and not lose one of these digital resources.  Can you confirm that I can delete photos, videos and documents locally on my phone and still access iCloud?

iCloud is a synchronization system, not an external 'hard drive '. If you remove them on your device, they will remove icloud. To increase the available space, go settings/iCloud/Photos and select optimize iPhone/iPad storage. That will reduce the space required by 90% when it is fully effective.

Try a simple Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (15 to 20 seconds).

If this does not help, you may need to restore your device.

Note that if you have enabled iCloud photo library, deleting a picture on the phone will remove it from everywhere.

  • locked mac using iCloud with 6-digit access code

Children on vacation had access to one of my macs and therefore locked this macmini via iCloud and so created a 6-digit password that we obviously do not (they have never written it down).

Having spent 5 hours on the phone with Apple support (including a screensharing away where they could see that I can still connect to my iCloud account, proof of purchase and so on) they sent me to the Apple store, I did. Nevertheless, they said that they are unable to solve a problem of iCloud in the store, it must be done online through the Apple Support (feel like a ping-pong ball now...).

So I called the Apple support once more and 30 minutes later... they tell me very well and everything I have to go to the Apple store...

Thank you in advance for help.

You can request support for a file number so that you can submit it to the Bank, they can then (probably) communicate with each other and sort things.

A small note, even with access to your Mac, your children could not lock a device associated with your account without knowing your password to iCloud. This isn't a good idea, I suggest when you get this set, you change your password and do not tell your kids this time.

  • Deleting photos on an iPhone 6 after importing Photos

I used 6 (iOS 9.2.1) photos to import photos from my iPhone but can't seem to delete them from my phone because I'm running out of space. I can't find an option in Photos for me to do. I use iCloud library but tired of receiving messages telling me I am out of space and need to buy more. I was using the iPhone Optimize Storage option, so when I try to turn off iCloud, he tells me I'm losing photos. I guess that it space to store all of the photos uploaded to iCloud original is much more than the space I have left on my phone. So why would I back up my photos to a photo library. Yes, I could go through frame by frame making sure that they are all there, but there are more than 2500 and would prefer to delete automatically the picures copied after importation. Make sense?

Import Photos Panel has a check "Remove items after importing" below the toolbar. If you enable this, before importing items, they will be automatically deleted.

You don't see this check box, because you have activated on your iPhone photo library iCloud.  As long as you use iCloud photo library, the Mac cannot delete the photos, because they are stored in iCloud and only mirrored on your iPhone.

"Remove items after importation" is to risk anyway. I would not use this option. First, it is safer to check if the import was successful before deleting the photos from the iPhone.  Sometimes it happens that photos will be removed from the device, even if the import was not successful.

So why would I back up my photos to a photo library. Yes, I could go through frame by frame making sure that they are all there, but there are more than 2500 and would prefer to delete automatically the picures copied after importation. Make sense?

Since all the pictures are in the library of iCloud, download them by creating a new library of Photos on your Mac and enable it in your library to iCloud.  It will download all photos in iCloud.

You are you sure, that all the photos are safely on your Mac, disable iCloud photo library on your iPhone.  Then you can connect the iPhone to a USB port and use Image Capture to remove all the photos from the iPhone.

You can also download pictures from iCloud by using the web interface of your iCloud to www.icloud.com account.  Launch the Photos.app on this page and select the photos to download.

    Greetings mutyurke

From your post, it seems you deleted all your photos and removed the recently deleted photos thinking that they would still be in the cloud.

Looks like you could possibly use iCloud photo library. If you take a look at this article: iCloud Photo library FAQ - Apple Support

If you have active iCloud photo library photos are synced to all your devices include in iCloud. If you delete a photo off of one device, it is deleted on all devices, including in iCloud.

    Take care.

  • Synchronization of photos through photo for Mac vs iCloud

Hi all! I searched for days for assistance with this and can't find anything, so first of all, I apologize if it's there and I have not found.

I am running OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6, Photos 1.5 and have an iPhone 6 more on iOS 9.3.5

I have tons of photos and videos on my phone. I would like to delete some of them, but I use iCloud. I understand that iCloud will remove my photos from all devices when I delete it from my phone, so I have not been removing whatever it is I want to keep.

If I do a sync of my photos and videos on my Mac via a USB port, my pictures will be in a permanent folder on my hard drive? I hope that in this way I can remove what is in my phone but I know that they are saved in my library of Photos.

Another question (although the partners), it is that I currently have tried to download my photos and video for days now, and it always seems that miss me a lot of my photos. Should I be worried, or just let it run its course? I'm not more connected via USB, but Photos program says that it is still important. Where it is important if my phone is not plugged? I see some of my photos in the sidebar of Photos, but then when I click on all pictures MANY of my photos are totally absent. I see photos of iCloud under the Photos heading, but only photos imported in all Photos?

    Thank you in advance.

I found the last part of my question, but I'm still looking to see if the photos are constantly in my library of Photos on my drive hard if I delete them from my phone, because I use iCloud.
