Suspicious.Cloud.9 identified by Norton
I responded to notification of habitual available updated on my desk, and after installed update beating Norton Pavilion adobereaderupdatesetup.exe as "suspicious.cloud.9" - why what is happening and how it affect my computer?
I also had a Norton warning on adobeflashplayerpluginupdatesetup.exe of Trojan.ADH.2 and this SOUNDS SCARY BAD.
Should I uninstall all of my Adobe products? I need to be able to access the pdf and need to drive to do it, I don't?
I'm not very knowledgeable in this area and need help please!
No, because these updates are fake, created by the infected applications you already have on your computer.
Trust only updates that you receive from in the applications themselves, or, better yet, you yourself directly downloaded from the Web site of companies that have created these applications (Adobe, Microsoft, Firefox, etc.).

had to re-download firefox and got 9 Suspicious.cloud virus
Have been using firefox and was last week when trying to open the message can't connect to the internet etc. Uninstalled and reinstalled twice. installed again and according to the instructions added to my windows firewall. I also have Norton. Who did the Tower except that Norton has notified me that Suspicious.cloud9 has been detected and quarantined. Its origin is Mozilla. Now, I am wary of using Firefox due to this fact. Did not the hour of the file the first heel 35 that I loaded Firefox.
In fact with SeaMonkey, it was the Suspicious.cloud7 claiming that a virus in the file freebl3.dll only he is not and never has been. You have to be such a regular occurrence that they even singling out Norton in the issues known by SeaMonkey Release notes. http://www.SeaMonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.32/#issues and appears until Norton finally fix it.
Download the file to virustotal if you want, I would, but I'm on a tablet.
Firefox from mozilla.org has never been proven to have any virus and any time a request for the virus that's happened that it is only one of a few certain customers with Norton antivirus being one of them.
I saw messages from claim Suspicious.cloud with Firefox here and mozillaZine over the years but it has been infrequent compared to with SeaMonkey and was always a false positive.

How can I get rid of suspicious.cloud.7.ep
I receive a notice of Norton antivirus that they detected a high risk of 'suspicious.cloud.7.ep' and removed. This happens about once every two minutes. I scanned with malware bytes and my drive was clean. How can I get rid of this?
Got a fix...
Was infected with this also resulted in the constant message Norton Security, risk Norton auto setting and very slow internet speeds, overall consumes resources of the computer. Even some of my applications became very slow... ready to kick the bucket.
Despite solutions internet browsing, I found someone who has solved this problem... which isn't good and thought I should re - install windows. But I was able to remedy. Here's what I did...
I think that the security threat is not related to a file for everyone, so your infected file will probably be different from that of someone else. Many of the various forums I visited indicated different infected files or applications. So first find your infected file...
When the Norton pop-up message appears (or simply check your security history) explores the 'activity' in the history of your security to find the file that appears in the infected file or the threat. Then, click on the link below to run the Norton Power Eraser (NPE) which is step 5. 1 to 4 step has not worked for me. The NPE is infected or DLL system files. If it finds the same file u traced in history security check, u probably got a fix. The NPE detected 3 files, one was the file that I traced back it as the threat as an extension dll, another was a file extension dll that I wasn't familiar with and had she also removed, the 3rd is a file that I recognized and was not deleted. NPE removed the files, restarted and back to normal. If she didn't, then I was going to restore my files system according to the instructions in the link.
Really hate these viruses and always, always, always keep your anti-virus updated and re-new before expiry. I learned the hard way that if you have not re-new your Norton anti-virus, u lose all protection... it used to be that u lost only RunLive updates and Norton would keep protection... When this happened, I had a big infection that I thought I was going to have to re - install windows... A fixed it well after many hours. Good luck.

suspicious virus not identified by MSE
Wordpad in my laptop files increase exponentially in size (a single file of about 1 MB has reached a size of 500 MB in a few record operations, with changes very nominal.) Although I have have reported to MSE, there is no feedback and my problem remains. Any suggestions?
If you think that maybe it's a virus, update your MSE AV definition files, and then run a full scan with it. Then download, install, update (by right clicking on its icon and 'run as administrator' then go to the update tab) and run a complete scan with free malwarebytes.
Then try to scan manually one or two of these large files by themselves by double clicking on them and scan with MSE, then Malwarebytes (after having checked and updated both programs).
Is - this report malware scan?
Are these documents more if you come to open them and save, and then close (repeat several times), or after a change to the document? You simply add a few lines of text or a lot of text AND some photos? You save documents in what format?
You could also try to create a "dummy" document that exposes your problem but with no sensitive or identifying data inside, and once he starts more and more, transfer it to Virus Total. for checking it.
If, after scanning with the above, nothing is reported and you always suspect a virus, try:
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
http://www.SUPERAntiSpyware.com/
http://support.Kaspersky.com/FAQ/?QID=208283363
All frequently carry on this forum.
PS - it may be an idea to save all the data you need to keep all first, just in case. Just to be safe.

Running Firefox 36.0.1 an update has been downloaded on 3.19.2015.
Norton said that this is a problem of cloud 9. Subsequently tried to open Firefox,
but instead of opening, I received an error "can't find execution". "."
Deleted Firefox of installed programs, news and everything works great.
2 days later received an update downloaded and exactly the same thing happened.
After removed again, installed new with 36.0.3 and everything works fine again.
I use Win XP Pro SP3It's a problem with Norton and not the Firefox browser with Norton of Suspicious.Cloud claim
She did this false positive Suspicious.Cloud with SeaMonkey for years every so often releases SM and Norton did not bother to fix it. Norton antivirus would claim a virus found in file freebl3.dll only there is not and never has been.
You have to be such a regular occurrence that they still singling out Norton in the known issues for SeaMonkey version notes for a few years as can be seen in http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.33/#issues and appears until Norton finally fix it.
Messages on the claim of Suspicious.cloud with Firefox here (and mozillaZine) were infrequent compared to SeaMonkey.

Each time Firefox auto-updated runs Norton360 detects a virus in the file update xul.dll (virus is identified as: Suspicious.Cloud.9.B a heuristic virus) and removes the file "Mozilla firefox/getting updated. When Firefox tries to restart it inevitably crashes. I then load another browser to download Firefox on the Mozilla site. This version (supposed to be identical to the version used by auto-update) install without complaining of Norton360 (Note: Firefox keeps its previous settings OK).
1. is there a difference between the two versions of xul.dll?
2 xul.dll file contains a virus?
and
3. How can I get an auto-update to work the first time?I have lived this error condition for several recent updates of FireFox (38.0.5 Funnelcake June 2015 Mozilla 1.0 - 39). My security system is provided by Comcast Norton Security Suite ver 22.5.2.15, on a Win XP installation. Now when we announce an automatic update of FireFox, I avoid this error by 1) disabling NSS Auto Protect, 2) installation of the latest update of FireFox 3.) Re-activation NSS Auto Protect. There is no warning message and the update FireFox works unremarkably.

MSVCR80.dll error Suspicious.Coud.7.EP
I get a Suspicious.Cloud.7.EP of my Norton 360 software error message when I access internet. The information in the error message is:
File: c:\WINDOWS\WinSxX\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.6195_x-ww_44262b86\msvcr80.dll. Norton does nothing to correct the error. It indicates the path: not available.
What should I do to get rid of this?
Thank you.
If you have copied/typed this way in exactly as you see it, that's right - this path is not and should not be available.
Folders and files Windows Side By Side go under here:
WinSxS c:\windows\
Not here:
WinSxX c:\windows\
If you take this path you typed and paste it into a start, run:
c:\WINDOWS\WinSxX\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.6195_x-ww_44262b86
You will get an error because this folder is meaningless and should not exist.
You have a folder c:\windows\WinSxX ?
If change you it to this:
c:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.6195_x-ww_44262b86
On my system, there is such a file and a msvcr80.dll and some other DLL files there (many other records under c:\windows\WinSxS)
Read on the pages of Support of Norton, they had a few similar reports on Suspicious.Cloud.7.EP but it was another file (some kind of malware) but they say that the report is false and to upgrade to their latest version to fix it - but this way you shared is simply false.
I think that if this is really the way that you see (the wrong way), it would be some application that you have installed to complain if he could not find the DLL there and I'm not install Norton anything to verify.
If the path is really WinSxS, then I think that I make sure your Norton definitions are up-to-date, consider uninstalling/reinstalling Norton or better yet, replace Norton with Microsoft Security Essentials.
Some info next to Windows:
Whenever there is a problem of DLL Windows side by side (WinSxS), engaged Microsoft Support Engineer 'experts' will be always suggest running sfc/scannow (as they do with a DLL error they see or have no idea what the problem is,) but let me assure you with 100% certainty that the System File Checker does not know or care about all the files in the WinSxS folder so that is another their waste of your time.
SideBySide is a technology that allows different versions of files and libraries with the same names to be installed on your system at the same time.
Because you cannot have two files of the same name in the same folder at the same time, you install applications will dynamically pull the files they need to separately installed files.
Different applications require different sets of files, so XP puts them in separate folders for you.
For example, the products of .NET Framework may require only one version of a DLL file, Visual Studio, another version of the DLL with the same name and products Adobe may require yet another version of the file with the same name, so they must be installed in separate folders and XP will take care to get the correct version for you when you need it.
When files that require a SideBySide technology are installed, XP will put them in separate folders that look like this:
C:\Windows\WinSxS...
Depending on the applications you have installed, you may need several versions of the installed libraries and many folders in your c:\windows\WinSxS folder.
When an application needs some dll, it will automatically retrieve those that he needs the correct WinSxS folder.

Norton deleted mc_enc_dv.dll
Just installed Lightroom 4 (full product purchased through download on Windows 7 64-bit)
Norton Internet Security has removed mc_enc_dv.dll re Suspicious.cloud.7.F
This file is necessary/safe and I need to restore it?
This we used for the support of the video within LR4. How will I know? Norton removed mine and video would not play in the LR4. I restored them and it works now. Also referred to as sound here http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/ for turn off Norton scanning of files LR4.

RESOLVED:
After creating a new user and then by moving my settings files in file by file and loging out between I finally found the one who kills the CC. I use OSX https://github.com/mathiasbynens/dotfilesbootstrap config.
I suppose that the comment should have warned me, but I'm not running Adobe Illustrator CS5, a TI does not say "blocks all Adobe applications.

Flagged as Malware file when installing Enterprise Pack for Eclipse
Hello
I was installing Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 12.1.2.1 - kepler when Norton 360 scored one of the files during installation. I made two screenshots, but I can't find anywhere to download so I'll manually post the information here.
Threat: Suspicious.Cloud.7.EP
c:\oracle\middleware\oracle_home\oracle_common\jdk\jre\bin\Removed javacpl.
My question is, what do I do now. A dialog box came and said that "this program could not have installed correctly". It gives me an option to reinstall, but I fear that it could happen again.
Any suggestions, or if this is the wrong place for this post, I would be grateful someone shows me where.
I'm under Windows 7 (SP1) 32-bit and I downloaded all the patches that Microsoft sent by Windows update a couple of days.
Thank you!
You will need to disable Norton and re-install WLS/EPCO. Can also file a report with Norton because their software sends false positives.

It is called phishing... it's a scam.

Windows pop up and redirects-cant seem to make them stop. Need help.
I started to see popups and redirects a few weeks ago. Since then, I've run many programs of malware and adware resolves, unsuccessfully. (ADWCleaner, Malwarebytes, Spybot, YAC, etc.) All cleaners are now back with a report of any problems. But I still have problems.
I have reset Firefox... Same questions. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Same questions.
I came across a forum post that describes a similar problem and the solution included opening of the user profile on Foxfire by topic: config and deleting suspicious files. I did and none appear suspicious. I'm reluctant to delete something I might need.
A person can develop this solution and is there a way to compare what files I have that I should have, so anything suspicious can be identified?
Other recommendations to eliminate this persistent problem?
Thanks in advance. The extent of the "Comparing the files' in your profile against some kinds of standard profile goes, many extensions add files in the profile folder and files make up the profile can change that new versions of Firefox come out. How old is your current profile, you could have a dozen or more old, unused files. Which coupled with the wide variety of extensions available, makes it very difficult to make a comparison of files with accuracy in all.
It could be useful that you can tell us exactly what URLs are loaded into popups and redirects. Someone here could recognize the 'source' or maybe see a pattern.

Mahjong Titans was "Falling Tiles" Sound at the beginning of the game
After having upgraded from Vista 64 for Win7 64, I noticed that the sound "falling tiles" at the opening of the games of Mahjong Titans is now really bad quality. All other sounds in the game are very well (even under Vista 64). I was wondering if
