• How to disable the Advanced tab on the properties of PDF dialog box

  I have created a simple form on Adobe FormsCentral and noticed that the Advanced tab in the PDF Properties dialog box is disabled (user cannot change things like Page Scaling, etc.). While the viewer preferences dictionary is described in the PDF specification, I've found anything in the PDF specifications for the deactivation of the Advanced tab of the properties of PDF dialog box to prevent users to change these values. But given that the form that I created on the web site of Adobe FormsCentral for that, I guess that there may be something in the PDF specifications for it. Anyone has any idea what this could be?

  The reason why the 'Advanced' tab does not change anything is because the exported document of the FormsCentral is registered with extended Reader rights. When you examine the security settings, you will notice that 'Change the Document' is not allowed. Changing the settings of the document should be 'change the document '. The only changes allowed fill in the form fields that have been added by FormsCentral.

• Applied to the wysiwyg editor CSS

  Using RoboHelp HTML 7.02.001 on Windows XP Pro.
  
  1 Wysiwyg editor incorrectly displays Arial Sans, even if it is correctly defined in the CSS file.
  2 output (previewing output of WebHelp, etc.) displays correctly sans serif Arial.
  3 styles of dialog box (Format > Styles) presents a correct definition of sans serif fonts, but shows what looks like Times New Roman (with wheelbases of course). Police box (Format > style > Format > police) shows a correct definition of Arial, but displays the serif fonts.
  
  Does anyone know where the substitution could come from? I tried to import CSS files that work fine in ALL my other projects, but do not work correctly in this project. The CSS does not change, but the definition of police does not work in the wysiwyg editor (thought it DOES not work in the output).

  Found the solution to my problem!

  Format > dialog box font sets (a dialog box I never knew the existence!) showed that "times new roman" was used in wysiwyg ed instead of 'arial '. Also discovered that 'arial', it was the police wrong - should be Arial. When I corrected the definition of sets of fonts, everything is good again in the wysiwyg ed.

• The mouse pointer jump at the top of the screen when the dialog box opens

  In the last few weeks my mouse pointer jumps sometimes extreme high (left side) of the FF browser window.   I seem to have something broken in my version of TestStand 4.2. When I run the sequence Editor starts in the logged out State.  When I click on Login... nothing happens.

  I think this may have something to do with process templates - I had installed a updated the SequenceModel.seq which has been altered by a co-developer and re-installed the original on it back because the updated process template wanted to access the components that I don't have on my computer (which is a sql database).  Anyway, since I did it, I can't have the logon dialog box to display.

  It is the reminder of the frontend, not the process model, which is responsible for implementing the connection/disconnection process.

  There should be two versions of the FrontEndCallbacks.seq file on your computer as follows:

  (1) in \TestStand 2010\Components\Callbacks\FrontEnd, this version here must have a sequence called LoginLogout

  (2) in \Components\Callbacks\FrontEnd, this version must be an empty sequence file.

  In addition, make sure that you do not have the station defined option to automatically open a session to the user of Windows System.

• I want to use the expression editor control in a DLL VC ++ how?

  as mentioned I want to use the expression editor control in my DLL written with VSC ++ 2005 MFC. But I came across some problems:

  If I simply add the ExpressionEdit control in the toolbar to my dialog box then the dialog box will appear not during execution. As soon as I remove the control from the dialog box appears.

  In the examples of TS is a called "TCL" (...) Instruments\TestStand national 4.1.1\Examples\Tcl\source\EditSubstep). It is programmed in C++ and uses the expression editor control.

  The original dll works fine, but as soon as I compile the editsubstep with my VS 2005 I get a runtime error (see image).

  What should I do to be able to use this control?

  Does anyone have an example of a job for me?

• Subvi behaves like the dialog box

  Hello LV'ers.

  I have a problem in my program of LV: 'I need my Subvi to behave like a dialog box.

  Design: if I call this Subvi (through the server VI - FPopen of the property node), my mainVI should NOT be controlled until the end of the Subvi. I think it's the same based on the dialog box, once the dialog box appears, we need to deal with first before you can make the controls of our main VI.

  my current status: I have two while loops, running in parallel: 1st loop for tracking data, 2nd loop of the menu setting. the Subvi that opens has been in the 2nd loop - it appears when I pushed the button (event structure/VIserver). now, once I called this Subvi, I can still click and control my mainVI that should not happen!

  I think it's quite possible, I don't know how. Anyone who knew this feature?

  To turn off the mask of the dough, just right-click the button, and then select Properties. Go in the tab CSA. At the bottom right, you will see checkboxes for solder and paste photomask. You can uncheck to remove the mask of the dough.

  I hope someone can help me with this question... I looked long and seriously, and you have tried all of the suggestions posted (cancel/save, etc.).

  I am trying to install a program and Windows Installer stops right in the middle of installation and a dialog box appears with information from command line, and the only thing I can do is select 'ok'... the program is not installed.

  The file I'm trying to install is an exe file (so the SIG file is embedded in the exe file).

  I tried the option "Run As Administrator" and it did not work.  However, you gave me an idea that has provided a work around that allowed me to install the program.

  Once this dialog box is displayed with all the control switches, rather than press 'OK', I left on the screen and went in the 'temp' folder and find the MSI program I tried to install (I cross referenced the timestamp of when I tried to install it to find).

  Once I found the updated file, I clicked it, and he proceeded to install the program... I have not had any other problems with the installation.

  So, there's something wrong with the way that the exe file have been created and how the files extracted from the msi file (these are files of Intel and Lenovo - driver updates - so I think they do these things) or there is a problem with Windows Installer.

  For now, at least, I have a work around I use until I find a solution to this problem of permanent

  Below, was the step that I did which solved the problem. hope this will help others

  Go to the Studio of ODI

  Develop the language in topology-

  Import new language

  Import mode INSERT_UPDATE synonym

  The definitions of the language of $ODI_HOME/oracledi/xml-reference/LANG_SQL.xml

  Click OK

  Close ODI Studio and open again. that fixed my problem.

• Advanced box option missing in the dialog create/edit view - 4.0.3

  I just upgraded to 4.0.3 and when I right click on a view and change has chosen, the option to check the advanced checkbox is missing. It is there in the dialog box change the Table just as it was in version 3. Does anyone know if I'm missing something.

  So that requeteur was problematic. I use the query designer in the worksheet to prepare your request, then paste in the editor view.

  We have a query designer for views in the Data Modeler if you do not want to give that a shot.

  I don't see "Oracle B2B 2.0" or another option. I have always used 'Oracle 2.0' to generate xsd.

• Audio controls in the dialog box (part 2)

  He lacks the control to close the Audio dialog box. I tried to follow the directions to rename the Captivate file in folder users/username/AppData/Local/Adobe (Win7). What I found there were three files for Captivate: Captivate 6.0 (the date is October 2012 when I made a test), an another Captivate 6.0 (x 64) dated yesterday when I re-installed, and a folder of 6.0x64 HeadLessCaptivate also published yesterday which is empty.

  The solution 'to rename the folder Adobe 6.1"provided to another Member of the forum has failed. Should I just delete all files of Captivate 6 the location AddData/local/Adobe, uninstall and reinstall the whole shebang (again)?

  It seems to be a matter of preference.

  You can rename all these files to Adobe Captivate 6_ old or any name, only rename them. Captivate must be closed by renaming them.

  Then run Adobe Captivate as an administrator and check the audio editor.

  I posted this in response to the following discussion: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/603151 but think it deserves its own post, because it was not solved by the solution presented.

  My company is running Internet Explorer 7 as its browser default and recently installed frame chrome. I was editing a robohelp project this week and met the following error message when I open the skin Editor:

  

  When I opened the published webhelp, I had the same problems described elsewhere in the forums with the table of contents and search does not. I edited the whver.js file using the specifications indicated by piersh in the discussion above without success.

  Additional information:

  • I use RoboHelp 8
  • Functuonality is very well when tested in Firefox
  • Published and on-site testing
  • Tested from two additional computers to a shared network drive

  mbrouill, you did the changes in the file whver.js in your program files or the WebHelp output folder? I found that the error in the WebHelp skin Editor dialog box has disappeared when I changed the file whver.js in C:\Program Files\Adobe\RoboHelp 8\RoboHTML\WebHelp5Ext\template_stock\ (see response of m_d_uk2 to http://forums.adobe.com/message/3715435#3715435#3715435). If you edit the file in the Program Files folder, the file whver.js in the WebHelp folder updates automatically whenever you rebuild assistance.
