  I bought an Equium A100-147 last week and noted in the manual it should have Bluetooth capabilities. However, I can't get this to work. I looked for my phone, and it does not pick up the computer as a bluetooth device. In the help files, it says I can set it up in the bluetooth settings in the Control Panel, but there is nothing in there. I tried to install the battery Bluetooth Toshiba, but it keeps asking me to install the bluetooth device.

  This computer actually has bluetooth abilities or not? If so, how can I get this to work?

  In my opinion it's the right price for this device. If you check the specs the unit has Wide XGA TFT color of beautiful 15.4 TruBrite display "(1280 x 800), 120 GB of HARD drive." In any case before you buy the laptop please make sure what you want to do with it. If you like game then this device is perhaps not the best because of the shared memory graphics card. The unit has also a Bluetooth module or internal microphone.
  I put t know how is this important to you, but for that price you laptop very nice.

  I recently bought a PSAAQE Equium A100-338. It came preloaded with Vista home premium. I removed what I need XP pro. I found all the drivers to get everything works except the shortcut keys. I tried all the drivers available, but none works. Are there other drivers available for the access keys work.

  Can anyone provide a url to a site where I can get the driver. Also, why are there no XP driver specific available, it took forever to find all those that I needed. I know a lot of it, specialists and companies that will not use Vista and only allow for XP.

  To be honest, who does not much chance of finding any where in or on websites of Toshiba!

  In my opinion, you can use the HARD drive with the speed of 7200 RPM. I put t really see no reason why this should not be possible!

  It is important that you buy a HARD drive with the interface supported and the size of the HARD drive.

  You are right; Equium A100 supports SATA HDD interface.
  You must not use SATA and IDE hard drives!

  According to some internet sites, the laptop came with 80 GB HARD drive.
  I presume that you should be able to upgrade the 120 GB HARD drive, but this is just a suggestion because Toshiba does not have any official information on the maximum size of HARD drive.

  I am owner of Equium A100-338 PSAAQE.
  In my manual and workbook loads on exactly my laptop's info, I can put on the maximum memory 2x2gb modules and after that, I should have 4 GB of ram.

  So I did and believe me or not there is NOT 4 GB RAM.
  Of course in the BIOS I see system memory total 4096, but in the MESSAGE window and in my system, I can see only 3063.
  I have the 64-bit linux system and there should be 4GB without any problem.

  So, where's my 1 GB memory?

  If I replace the HARD drive recover CD will install a new copy of the fatory software you (inc windows xp MCE)?

  Yes, you can use a 250 GB. The laptop has a SATA interface and there is no limit as to IDE.

  If you use the recovery CD, you will get to factory settings. This means an XP installation with all the drivers and tools.
