  I came across your post on the HP Pavilion dv6 - 1255ee Entertainment Notebook and eager to replace the hard drive of 9.5 mm or increase the RAM. Even if it could adapt to the Notebook ok. Queues screws could be different. Here is a link to your service manual page 69 for the hard card. I would really check this before buying new HARD drive. You may need to change so it does not move. The 500 GB SATA 6 GB/s SSD internal SSD 2.5 "would work for this model of laptop including that you have an AMD System.

  This laptop supports up to 8 GB memory system DDR2, 800 MHz, PC2-6400, page 1-DIMM 32 of the manual above.

  If not what is the largest size of HARD drive I can put in?

  It is also useful to do a lot to make a dual boot with Vista and XP or get one with Vista and the other drive with XP

  Someone can also point me in the direction of the place where to buy the right type of player with the correct connection... its SATA I think

  In my opinion, you can use the HARD drive with the speed of 7200 RPM. I put t really see no reason why this should not be possible!

  It is important that you buy a HARD drive with the interface supported and the size of the HARD drive.

  You are right; Equium A100 supports SATA HDD interface.
  You must not use SATA and IDE hard drives!

  According to some internet sites, the laptop came with 80 GB HARD drive.
  I presume that you should be able to upgrade the 120 GB HARD drive, but this is just a suggestion because Toshiba does not have any official information on the maximum size of HARD drive.

  In case you want to upgrade the RAM to 4 GB of RAM, I recommend to choose Windows 7 64-bit to be able to use all 4 GB of RAM

  If you are using Win Vista or Win 7 then it would be desirable to increase the RAM up to 2 GB.

  I recently received an Equium A100-027 for my birthday. Overall I am very happy with it, but the only problem I have is with the graphics card. I'm a gamer, and the graphics card just can't handle more modern games.

  Unfortunately, upgrading the graphics card is not possible. I'm don't know if you're familiar with cell phone technology, but you should know that graphics cards installed on laptop motherboards are not same as the GPU for desktop PC s s.

  The map is fixed and there is no way for an upgrade!
  You can upgrade the memory or HARD drive on laptop computers but not the graphics card!

  I also have a player m and I m a laptop owner but I don t use this device for games, but for a typical use like the internet, programming, members, etc.
  I have a second game machine and it s a desktop PC. It s supports a map of water cooling module and a really great graphics, but I'll change it to the a newer NVIDIA supports the directX10.

  I have an equium a100-027 and today the touchpad was funny.

  But before you send this laptop to any point of service, you must reinstall the laptop with the Toshiba Recovery CD.

  I bought an equium A100-027 and, because of my work, I want to use a personal OS XP - Pro, I bought the retailer 2006 Microsoft.
  The problem is that XP installs successfully, but I can't find the drivers on the Toshiba Download Page.
  The laptop TYPE is witch PSAAQE is not listed. I tried to use the drivers provided by other series A100 PSAAxxx but XP does not accept. I managed only with the Intel graphics driver... How can I do?
  I sent a mail to support Toshiba in France and they redirect me to the download page of drivers even DO NOT contain any driver for my laptop... (it does not appear there).
  It is mandatory for me to use XP - Pro, because we use it for industrial automation, so I can't use Vista! seriously, I bought a PC that do not work on XP?

  I recently bought an Equium A100-027 and impossible to get the sound card to work. I have Windows XP edition family SP2 running on the machine and downloaded the driver Toshiba, but not joy.

  The laptop originally came with Vista, but I couldn't have the drivers for all my devices installed XP. When Vista was installed the sound card was working, any help much appreciated

  A zoomed undemanded on my screen area display took my Equium A100-027 (Vista).
  I was not able to identify what actions mine trigger this, and the only way to get rid of it is to restart the computer.

  I have an Equium A100-027 aged from 4 months which worked flawlessly until last night. My wife was using it when it ran out of power and we do charge again. The box on the cable becomes hot butno power seems to go to the computer laptop itself. Any ideas please?

  Can you can start and run the notebook without the battery and only connected to the adapter?
  The AC is light on?

  If not then the problem could be linked to the defective sector adapter and I recommend you check it by a Toshiba ASP.
