  1 DirectX is part of Windows and is used for applications like games 3D.
  2. for an antivirus, I recommend NOD32 (commercial), Avast or Avira (free versions available). Windows Defender is not an antivirus program.
  3. don't worry about superfetch at this stage. Your computer seems that it's infected and that is why it is slow.

  1 Server - Windows 2008 r2 with all updates

  2. customers - both Windows 7 and Windows XP

  I have a screen with a VerticalFieldManager. I'm running in the speed problems in two common cases:

  (1) creating the labelfields put in the optimization of resources. Here is some pseudo-code of what I do:

  A glance in the Profiler indicates that 90 + % of the time is spent in the UI during the loop code for, a lot of Field.applyTheme () of the time, a lot of time thus setText(). (I'm not on the event at this point thread.)

  (2) eliminating a pair of labelfields (title and subtitle) optimization resources takes a few seconds. I use deleteRange (x, 2), and it's very slow, unfortunately.

  I did research in the forums but have not been able to find ways to accelerate. Advice would be appreciated.

  Looking at your code, I would not suspect the time has been spent in the loop for.  Until these are added to the screen, my experience is that the creation of a load of fields does not take as long.  I thought that this was the process of these specify the screen once they have been added, which takes time.  If the loop was directly by adding them to the Manager and the Director was already on the screen, I can imagine that takes a long time.

  To get the best performance of something like this, I recommend that you watch the ListField.  It's a little more complicated to start, but the performance gain you will get is significant.

  for three years, I never had any problem with my Mac. Now, all of a sudden, from one moment to the other, it runs very slowly. Also, I have to force every time you start the Mac with pressing the button for a few seconds.   Can someone help me? Especially to interpret the diagnosis of EtreCheck?

  All of a sudden, MacBookAir runs very very slow. Everything takes forever.
