SWF embedded in PDF made autoplay in IE (9), do not play in Firefox and Chrome.

I created a pdf with swf file embedded. Set it to AutoPlay.

Play well in IE9.

In Firefox and Chrome video appears (first photo) with a 'play' button.

Not to play, not automatic nor when I click on the play button.

Firefox and Chrome, I just downloaded, so the newer versions.

Windows 7 Professional.

Found the solution for Firefox.

In firefox, goto tools/options.

Looking for Portable Document Format (PDF).

Select it and in the menu select use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox) rather than using Firefox (default)

Thanks but no thanks, the Acrobat team.

  • Is there a way to enable LiveCycle forms is visible in Firefox or Chrome without turning off their built-in PDF readers?

Is there a way to enable LiveCycle forms is visible in Firefox or Chrome without turning off their built-in PDF readers?

I read an article which stipulates that, in order to view the XFA forms in Firefox and Chrome, you will need to turn off their built-in PDF rendering engine. However, this seems a lot of work for my end users. Is there a way to activate the form to open without turning off their PDF rendering engine built into Firefox and Chrome? Is there a setting somewhere?

    # Third for interactive PDFs of any kind is rare. I don't think that built-in player of the two browsers can handle XFA or AcroForms. Look at (Support XML Forms Architecture (XFA) forms · Number #2373 · Mozilla/PDF.js · GitHub) for more details. PDF is a complex standard, and most viewers have problems enough supporting the basic principles. Of course, you could look at following Adobe LiveCycle server, which allows the rendered HTML of XFA forms.

An embedded MP4 does not play when published as swf.  The PlayBar is where. The swf embedded on the page works OK. I downloaded all the files generated to the Web site. Any ideas?

I have not used the program for a while, so I'm a little rusty and I just know Captivate 8, so I hope I'm just something stupid. Oh yes, when I first publish and choose to view the project, he plays. If something must be different when it's moving online?

Make sure your video file is all characters lowercase and without spaces or punctuation characters.

Check that your site administrator has set the video as a type of authorized file mime type.

Link to the file that Captivate HTM publishes and not to the SWF that you did in the above link.

Make sure that all THE published files have been downloaded successfully to the web site, including the video file.

  • Auto from SWFs embedded but value IE does not auto play - Chrome, Firefox, Safari works ok

One of the masters of my web school has integrated several Captivate 5 swf files in a web page.  I was re-exported all not start automatic after that we realized that the originals were set to AutoPlay during loading (someone else did the orginials...).  The caches have been erased on IE9, but still, when loading this page, all no SWFs auto-play begin to play.  Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, none of them start playing when the page is loaded.  Anyone has an idea why IE9 would do this and how to fix it?

    Thank you

    Sue

The JS files are probably the same.  But keep separate everything is always a good idea when it comes to modules of e-learning courses.

  • Calling methods in SWF embedded

In an AIR application, I integrate other applications Flex [SWF] as part of the main application to AIR.

Embedding works like a charm, but I need to interact between the master and slaves (generic) [the embedded swf].

I understand the docs, master, and the customer can not exchange methods. Do I understand correctly the docs?

If the master and the customer cannot exchange methods, I can provide two properties bindable in the client:

    Quote:
    [Bindable]
    public var inChannel: *;
    [Bindable]
    public var outChannel: *;
  • Difference when viewing PDF made with/workspace-server / and /DocumentManager/

    Hi all

There are 2 scenarios when you view the file as an attachment:

    (1) when the user processes the form, they consider the attachment in the Attachments tab. Format of the url is: https://mydomain/workspace-server/documents/-6195445997301787088-16.pdf

    (2) requirement of my client should display files in the Attachments tab even after that process is complete.

What I did is to write a custom java component, definition of the last task to recover and return to the user.

    The form url: https://mydomain/DocumentManager/docm1266831910962/53650adc3948bd502cf8c81d4885feec?type=Y XBwbGljYXRpb24vb2N0ZXQtc3RyZWFt

(I also found that the file is generated under the GDS file)

In both cases, the navigateToURL() function is used to display the pdf in a new window.

My trouble begins from here. In the client machine several case 2 always ask them to record the form instead of viewing in the browser, while case 1 always may be visible.

Here is the image of the 2 cases when I click on the link:

    PDFSaving.JPEG

The strange thing is in the local environment, both work...

Y at - it an idea why this happens?

My client is using windows xp, IE 6 and adobe reader 9. Some of them are using windows vista, IE 7, and adobe reader 9.

In the local environment, we have successfully tested with

    1)

    Window XP

    IE6, IE7, FireFox, Google Chrome

    Software Adobe reader 9

    2)

    Windows vista

    JET

    Software Adobe reader 9

    Kind regards

    Anh

    You confuse me

But first, the setContentTypeFromBasename() is a complement of the ES2 to the Document class.  I didn't know that this was a case of pre - ES2. Sorry about that.

Then you say that you remove it? type = ASDFASDFASDF leave the URL on the client. This has to be there for the DocumentManager servlet can define the type of content in the http response.  I looked at the code, and if it is not there, no content type is defined so that it will be browser and os depends on what he will do, although I expect more to ask.

And however your component custom and short lived working process, documenting the output must have the right content-type variable put into it (the Document has a 8.2 setContentType() method but you will need to do the file to the mime type extension mapping to 8.2).  If it does and you do not remove the type parm in the url, then things will work.  But if this type parm is not there or the content type is not defined in the document var output, the browser will not know which application/plugin to launch and invite.

  • Place PDF made in bugs of Quark, InDesign CS4 XP

    Hello

I've just been bitten by the bug that causes the characters to give up when you create a PDF of a document, InDesign CS4 with a PDF file that is imported into Quark.

Has it been resolved? I looked at the notes 6.0.2 and 6.0.3 update and couldn't see anything.

It's quite urgent for me. If it has not been resolved, there's no work around for this?

    Thank you

    Ariel

Export to PDF/X-4 is the official workaround and does the job fine.

  • Flash (swf) files will not play LOCALLY

For a few years now, I've been making Flash demos embedded in an HTML page for viewing online. The same exact pages also work offline, IE. from a CD, USB, or another PC of evil by car.

Suddenly, which just stopped working! I've done all the troubleshooting and elimination of bug I can do - there is no reason I could find why pages that provide fine on my PC and creating work perfectly when it is online, does more when the same location of this directory is taken to another PC.

All the links are in place, I can view the SWF from USB when I drag / drop the file in a browser (so the plugins are very good), I know that the link is correct, but when the HTML is seen locally from another machine, the embedded SWF just... never appears. My old pages made in the same way work always, but not not new pages. I compared the code side-by-side and everything seems fine...

This page displays the fine online demo... www.invmed.info/test/all_mono/e_demo_clrcassette_mono.html

.. .but when you download this EXACT SAME directory to another PC, the Flash does not appear. Can someone please tell me why? Here's the simple file directory: www.invmed.info/test/test.zip

I THOUGHT ABOUT IT! The AC_RunActiveContent.js script treated him not properly pathed to Dreamweaver, even when new pages have been made. For the script to create the first time (and he didn't mention it again after this), you have to start a whole new site. Once I did, the clues has finally started to assemble. Found the code via research, fixed the fault path and voila.
