SWF file size increases considerably when animated

I'm trying to apply a simple animation to a project in Flash 8. The project consists of a single piece of work, any vector, which boasts a very simple animation to walk across the stage in moving horizontally.

When the Flash file is NOT animated, and I publish the SWF file, it is about 10K. However, when I create a single image key and tween, so that the work will be going on the stage, the resulting SWF file is about 300K. I do not understand how to add a single keyframe would be the large output SWF.

Later, I tried an experiment and turned the vector illustrations in a PNG file. When I hosted this, I don't have the problem of inflation of file size. I think that this work of vector would almost always smaller than bitmap images files.

Someone has an idea of what I'm doing wrong here? I think that such a simple animation would add only a small amount of information on the SWF output.

  • SWF file size increase mystery?

I've just updated a flash file published originally in a .swf to 189 k.

The update resulted in bitmap images (33 of them) with new ones of the same size of switching. I deleted the old images of the library and then saved and compressed flash file which is now almost identical to the original. Using the same parameters of publication the new balooned to 503 k .swf file.

    Clues why this can happen?

The original and the update was conducted in MX2004. I tried it on two different computers with the same results.

You can go to the Properties dialog box of the Bitmap image for each image and tweaking its compression individually. Most likely the new images have not twisted in the same way as the old, so greater export. Without more information (old and new settings, if you are importing files jpg etc..) I can't go any more.

  • The file size increases until the application fails

Win xp + flash player 8 and flash 8 of what THERE is IS a KIOSK PROJECT, no browser involved.

    Greetings.

I have a kiosk project that loads external swf very large (200-300 MB) with video integrated in function 'screen saver '. The screen saver charge (and discharge) maybe 3 or 4, and then, on the 5th, the application does not load the SWF file. I also get an "out of virtual memory" message to the taskbar.

Based on that observation, I began the follow-up of the 'task manager' for 'Util' and found that every time the screensaver Manager, a few hundred MB would be added to the Page file... AND HE LEFT. Thus, with each screen saver successive loading, the PF would get more increasingly broad.

I think this is the reason for the swf screensaver which stops loading after a certain number of times.

I've tried the settings of FP in great settings windows, but doesn't seem to help. The swf file stops loading when the PF is about 1.5 to 1.7 GB, even if I set the pf max to 4096 MB.

Is it then possible to "empty" the PF during the unloading of the extern SWF?

    ADDITIONAL TESTS:

I did a few tests more. I made a test database movie that loads an external swf, the code below.

the "loadtest.swf" is a large TIFF on the stage which gives the swf file to a size about 5 MB. Also on this SWF is a button that calls removeScreenSaver() to discharge.

What I have observed in this test, it's that when the loaded swf file is removed, PART of the memory is cleaned file exchange, but NOT ALL about HER. Therefore, it has the same potential problems.

This seems to be a pretty huge problem but I got no. chance find all messages or help on this?

Download a trial version and try it please.

Is your main file a file of projection?

You do not have all of the files inside the exe, you can use the LOCAL %
    to play SWF files.

Also we recommend that try to reduce the size of your SWF files and test
    If that helps.

  • TIFF LZW file size increased?

I'd like this handled by my expert colleagues of imagery. Created a very large TIFF of a painting that I photographed. The final tiff file without any compression was 645 MB (16-bit Prophoto RGB file). When I saved the same file for my client, this time adding compression LZW tiff file, everything the same, it's around 850 MB.

I do this on a Mac, the latest versions of Yosemite and Photoshop CC 2015.

I never noticed that by selecting compression LZW would increase the size of the file. Then... I'm deliver the file to my client without compression, because the file opens faster this way (and it's smaller!).

Anyone has an idea why LZW would increase the size of the tiff file?

    Scott,

I think you can refer to link below for compression LZW in Photoshop.

Re: Recording TIFF with LZW compression results in larger file size.

  • SWF files are not displayed when the Web page is published to the web

I was given 5 swf files to add to a Web page. I insert > media > swf and added each swf along the left side of the page. I can read the files when I saw in firefox, ie, chrome, etc. I copied then all the videos, Scripts files and html on the remote server file. When I go to the update page, the page is displayed correctly except for 5 swf files. The page is located here: http://coeh.berkeley.edu/pehsu/VideosC.html.  I use Adobe Dreamweaver CS6. Any help will be appreciated.

It seems to give the same strange message "the server cannot find the file specified" on any .swf. If you change a the .swf .jpg file, you get the standard message on the server 404 File not found.

Try to place one of your .swf files in the same folder as your index.html page. Then navigate to it directly http://coeh.berkeley.edu/pehsu/oscar4.swf

for example and see what happens.

I wonder if it is not something your server administrator might help you here.

  • Why the file size is reduced when the visibility of the layer is hidden?

With the same PSD file, I have hidden the visibility layer and recorded another copy, and I noticed that the file size is significantly reduced.

    Anyone know why?

    Thank you

When you maximize the verified compatibility, Photoshop records a version flattened your file in the psd. When you hide the layers and save, of course, the flattened version will consist of your file psd with these missing layers. If these layers had a lot of additional information, as opposed to simply a lot of white space or easily compressible full areas, then you will see a difference in file size.

  • What is the best file size to create an animated logo

I'm trying to animate a corporate lodge for a chart of the opening of a video. Can you recommend what size of files and the resolution is the best? If I can get a JPEG will apply the same specifications of file size.

I consider opening the file in Photoshop, selecting and separating logo in layers by using the layers separately to move together as the logo of the motion.

All your ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

That's exactly how I would do it (too).

Applications of paint have wonderful tools to bump-out parts of an image, or to 'flatten' areas (cleaning/denoising artifact jpg)...

size/resolution: depends on the 'action', if you do not zoom in, 1920 x 1080 video hires, is good enough, if you do some z axis fun (fly Thru), a much higher res is needed.

suggestion: If the logo contains the fonts/text or simple forms, I re - who would enact in movement. because it acts as a 'vector' = resolution independently, as in this example:

  • Warning of safety running a SWF file on a computer when you access the internet

I want to distribute a SWF file to run on computers, not the internet.  However, I want to be able to access the internet through a link that is controlled by a button.  This used to work, now I get a security warning telling me that I need to change the settings on my computer.  For obvious reasons, I don't want anyone running the SWF to have to do that!

Under Windows, I can create an EXE file that does not have security WARNING, but on the Mac which won't help.  Any suggestions?

  • Why the file size increases when cropping in Photoshop CC?

While cropping a picture significantly increases the size of the file.

7360 X 4912 px image (Image size: 103, 4 M) after cropping at 60 X 40 cm 300 px, dates back to a 18000 X 12000 px image (Image size: 618,0 M). And the computer is unable to cope with such a file...

It wasn't like that when I started to use the program.

I crop the image even with CS5 and the result is a picture of px 7087 X 4724 (Image size: 95.8 M) which is normal...

    Enjoy will help you...

I found my problem and solved. When units of culture resolution was incorrectly set to 'px/cm '... When changed to ' px/in' problem solved. Thank you very much aid...

  • File size increased when the convert .docx in .pdf

    Hi all

I had problems with Adobe: I need to convert a lot of Word (.docx) documents in Adobe (.pdf) files. I need to limit the size of these documents as there are limits to my project. I converted a 27 k file recently and it turned out as a PDF 207 kb. When I save it, I select "Minimum size" when registering in the box 'optimize for '. As I know, during the conversion, the .pdf files should be smaller than the original files. Please help me on this

I use Microsoft Office 2013 and Adobe Reader XI (11.0.06)

    Not bad. Different.

As it seems that you convert to save in Word, rather than using Adobe software. If you have Acrobat Pro, you can both use it to make the PDF (many different ways, many parameters) and analyze the use of the space.

  • Md7 - file size increases when you bind eps graphics

Hello. I work with md7 (Windows version) and a file has reached about 1 Mb with each graphic eps I have a link (and there are many of them, the size is quite large). Do not incorporate the graphic file is selected. The eps files are from CorelDraw X 4 and their sizes are approximately 100 KB. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You create your own preview of the eps in Pagemaker? This would represent a gain in size. If you can save the eps of Corel with a tiff preview, I think it works better with pagemaker.

  • files size increase as JScript saveAs travels

Situation: I use JavaScript to feed lines to a CSV file into a PDF file and save a PDF file for each line.

Problem: Files are larger size, although there is not an increase in the amount of information. For example, the first file is 123KB. The 500th file is 5.03 MB. The PDF is still only 3 pages, and there is less information in the 500th PDF file as the first.

What I tried: nothing. I have not tried anything else because it is always in the process of creating files that I write this post on the forum.

Possible solution: Y at - it a parameter for the Save function which will save the PDF file to the PDF format compressed?

Possibly important details: the PDF is 1095-C IRS form. It is a form of three pages. Those who do not need the third page (this is an overflow page) can have the form with just two pages. During the process, I'm looking for the line in the CSV file and removing the third page, if it is not necessary. When I saved the file with two pages, I have add this third back page. If three pages were needed, then the third page is not deleted. I have noticed that when the files pass by, there is a notice on the bottom of the page import/grouping fonts. It's the only thing I see that might be different between the files. When I look at the individual files, they are all 2-3 pages, and there is nothing further I can find.

I agree with TSN that it is much better to use the original file in each iteration, especially if otherwise you have to constantly remove and then add pages in the file, which can certainly get them to grow in size.

If your workflow should be something like this:

    -Fill in the data

    -Remove all unwanted pages.

-Save the file under a new name.

    -Close the file

    -Open the original file

    -Repeat.

  • liaison between the SWF - file size problem

I am building a presentation & have two separate sovereign wealth funds. It is about 80 MB, the other is 40 MB. When I tried to export more, I got a warning that it exceeded the 16 images of k I figured out how to work around that. But now I need to integrate the two sovereign wealth funds. If I take the smallest and import it into the largest one as a new scene that will blow up my ability to export again? Can I create a link between two separate swf using some sort of function gotoAndPlay? What are my options here? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

No, you can't do this or you go over your limit of 16 k images.

I mean LOAD a swf into another using actionscript.  you will use a class movieclip or moviecliploader in as2 or loader in as3 class.

An another jpg (banner) starts at 20K, but when inserted it is 70 K. is it related to the use of layers? I'm just starting to DW so I have to do something wrong. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
