  What you need to do when moving from one catalog to another computer, it's all just open it on the new machine and create a link to the location of the top-level folder to its new location on the new computer. Just right (or control) click on the folder in Lightroom and select "Update folder location" and then point Lightroom where this folder is on the new computer.

  You do not put diesel in a petrol car, and you cannot install of Windows programs on a Mac... unless you want to install a "emulator" on your Mac to run Windows programs

  CS5 is no longer marketed, but you should be able to use your CS5 for upgrade pricing for CS6

  I had a lot of problems with my PC (shocker, huh?) and had been contemplating a day switch to a Mac instead. I was wondering if, currently I have adobe Photoshop CC 2014 and Photoshop CC on this PC.

  A Cloud subscription allows you to use one or two platforms.  Because you are allowed to have two working facilities, you could have one of each with the Cloud.

  Creative cloud subscription is platform independent. You can install applications on Mac using the same Adobe ID free of charge.

  It all depends on what version of Photoshop, it is.  If it's CS6 then you can request an Exchange platform.  If it's a cloud subscription then you can install on any machine that meets the specifications.  All prior to CS6 version, there is not much that can be done other than to buy for the different platform.
