SWOP Acer Aspire 8735G T6600 CPU to T9550. Will it work? What changes should be made pls?

Hi guys,.

I'm very fond of my Acer Aspire 8735 G, T6600 and want to upgrade the processor.

I've already updated the PC with a 240 GB SSD and 8 GB or RAM.

I want to do a final update of the processor and read one of the 8735G models came out with a processor Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 (6 MB L2 cache, 2.66 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 35 W).

Is this correct, and the processor can be two-way for the T6600 I have?

What changes should I do?

I'm not a tech guy I'd appreciate the lay language please.

Thanks in advance

    Mr.Kare Krogstad.

Check the Device Manager.  Click Start and right-click computer.  -> Device Manager, click Properties.  Look under imaging devices.  Right-click the entry for your webcam and click on properties.  If it is disabled, you can activate it if there is no lack of material.  Also check to see if there is one? or! by the entrance.  If so, you need to download a new copy of the driver and reinstall.

    Good luck.

  • Acer Aspire E - 15 (E5-571-332ko) Wifi not working - Windows 7 64 BIT

Hi there we have a problem on the machine where we have down to Windows 7 64 BIT and we picked up the drivers from the Acer Web site.

Unfortunately the WIFI does not work despite trying all three options in the Support Site for Windows 7 64 BIT.

The laptop originally with Windows 8.1 which we didn't like. LAN works well.

We made - put a new SSD drive in (of course to lift the keyboard because what was not so difficult and three ribbons inside that were given.

    Can someone advise please?

I understood the problem and got it work. I was struggling to find the right driver, is necessary to find another for a same laptop from HP! None of Acer were those on the Web site as they are all for Windows 8.1

I went to the device under System (Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate) Manager...

You must go to control panel > Device Manager then highlight the network cards. The wireless is here so click on it, go to properties and then click the Details tab scroll down to HardwareIDs and make a note of the four characters that follow FRI for the vendor, and the four after DEV for device.

Go to http://www.pcidatabase.com and enter these characters into the two boxes that apply and take the path to the correct driver. When you find the list of drivers to the seller, they aren't ordering as well use facility search to your browser to track the details of the device. With luck, you'll have an executable file, but some will be a zipped folder.

    Found this info from http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/43377-43-wifi-working-acer-aspire-windows

So the point is to track down the correct driver by searching for the device ID (first four characters) and stalking the four characters (Vendor ID) when you browse through the list.

Hope this helps some of you.

I introduce myself first, I'm 70 years old, a qualified electronic former Tech at the time we could not dianose componnet level for repairs. The right click button does not work on the mouse pad, as well as a usb mouse. I used Acer to factory restore disks to restore it to out of box state. Same question. If you use the control panel to switch the buttons then the only thing that happens is the cursor move no click at all.  Also after a period of rental time computer warm up suddenly the cursor works, but even the left click will not work it will highlight the icon but not allow you to click on it. I wonder is the only solution to replace the motherboard as it seems to be a worse problem of heat.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  And before I forget, Yes, I replaced the drivers a couple of both clean install so

    RichardDaigle66,

Looks like you did everything I thought and much more. He makes it sound like a problem with the hardware at this stage and would require the replacement of the motherboard. Looks like that the southbridge is not working properly.

I have an Acer Aspire 5741 G and I would like to know what is the average temperature that my cpu is heat. I know that the temperature will determine by what programs it is currently running, but I want a general idea of what the processor must be running.

I am really worried because I recently changed my hard drive of the laptop and the technician told me that it was broken beacause of high temperatures! And now, he still has the problem of overheating.

For example, I watched a movie in full screen for 40 minites and my cpu heat75 ° c. (and if I am not mistaken, 90° C is the max)

I hope you find a solution to my problem.

  • Problems with Acer Aspire V5 - 573 G UEFI?

    Hello

I have Acer Aspire V5 - 573G. Before all the problems start I used Legacy BIOS mode with 10 Windows Pro 64 bit OS. Have the latest BIOS v2.30.

So, recently, I decide to move from the Legacy BIOS UEFI and reinstalled Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with UEFI mode activated with the GPT partition style. Everything went well with the installation.

Now I am facing following issues with UEFI and Windows 10 witch, which I didn't in Legacy BIOS mode:

    1. When the laptop goes to sleep and is not touched for a while, I can't wake up to laptop. Press any key on the keyboard or touch the touchpad don't wake it either. Only way is to press the Power button to stop completely and then turn it back on. I don't know if it's something to do with the Windows settings to resolve this problem.
    2. Restart Windows sometimes stop laptop computer. It's really strange... Windows shows it restarts, screen goes black and does not start, instead it laptop shutdown. ??
    3. And when I shut down the system, it is not entirely clear. Often the blue light continues to blink, CPU and GPU fans are always and still closing system entirely to press on the button / stop.

These issues are somehow related to UEFI, because I had no such problems with the traditional mode and Windows 10. This is starting to annoy me when the laptop stops completely.

    Any help on this?

    Thank you!
