• Mgr of office blackBerry Smartphones do not recognize my Outlook

  I have Outlook 2000 that I used with my 8830.  Now I have the tour with the new version 5.0 of Bishop Office and is not at all recognize my Outlook.   I am about to install Outlook 2007 but would like some advice from this forum first.  Is it possible that I have a bad CD for Office Mgr?

  So my 2 questions are:

  Should I install Outlook 2007?

  I could possibly have a problem with the CD of Mgr Desktop that accompanies the tour?

  It drives me crazy because even though the store (Verizon) has managed to transfer all of my contacts, I can't sync anything because it does not find my Outlook.  VZ has never heard such a thing happens.

  Let's see... How can I say this without throw themselves here for a bad language?   Install Outlook 2007 has been a bloody nightmare!  The software does not recognize my e-mail name, he made me run all over the computer trying to make changes and I tear my hair out me!  Fortunately for me, I have a friend who is in the high-tech industry, so I called her and she went on my machine remotely and fixed almost everything!  I say ALMOST, because this is that later that I realized that even if syncing seems go perfectly, much of my appointments do not transfer my BlackBerry to the Outlook/Desktop Mgr hostel.  She and I will have to face another time unless you have other ideas.   We did the synchronization in both directions so I have no idea what went wrong.

  So you have bypassed the wizard and manually configured? You shouldn't have to do... to my hotmail and outlook.com accounts, the Wizard works great and fits as EAS, but not with this server you mention. I never had a good LIVE domain account, so I guess it could be different. Incorporate you manually or have you used the wizard on the device?

  It is also possible that the update, what you did was the cause of problems. There are many reports, especially with this version of the OS, problems caused by the version itself (it has been a long time now replaced) as well as the process of update itself causing problems. In the first case, moving to a BONE later might be useful. For the latter, reloading via LINK or auto-loader can be useful. I can't say for sure if this will help your situation, but... again, all I can do is offer advice based on what you say here.

  I have a Z10 and have had other BB 10 OS devices that do not have properly sync my calendar. There seems to be a known problem and I was wondering if anyone is aware of a 'resort', short of ditching the platform all together and communicating directly with the BB will not help?   Last week, I received a notice of update, insstalled & restarted.  I've hated since then.  Once I log in, my screen moves to the right and is too large, I reduced manually each time. Tried to change the font sizes, doesn't change anything.

  Miss me appointments in my calendar, because now I get is more notifictations sound and I wouldn't change a thing.  I also can't find anything in the settings to get it back.

  I'm close to the end of my contract with my service provider and a bit of dumping my phone instead of upgrading to another BB, had my eye on the Passport, but if I'm not in meetings or appointments.  This will change.

  Hey,.

  I have about 4 times a day, the message that I can install the new update.

  Then, make sure that my phone is connected to WiFi and I got a message that a file blog explains the update and it stops.

  Even when I connect my phone to the link, it says there's an update, but as soon as I tried to download, link crashes big time (somewtimes I have to restart my Mac).

  I realized that it downloads in the background, but is it possible to actually see what is happening?

  I don't see any software on the blackberry desktop that will allow me to synchronize notes that I copied in Outlook to my phone. Please keep in mind that it is easy to do if my blackberry has been configured for the company but given its configured for webmail the ability to sync outlook NOTES does not exist in the Desktop Manager. pls help. Surely, there must be a way?

  First the specs:

  BB 8330 m (CDMA) - Cellular South - running v 4.5.0.127
  Win XP Pro SP3
  Outlook 2007
  DM is v 5.0.0 B28 multilingual - with Media Manager
  No BES

  The problem:

  Although the phone and Outlook calendar had been able to synchronize (either via Bluetooth or USB) for centuries without problem, which, obviously, is no longer the case.

  There is no error message.  Contacts, tasks, and Notepad (also through Outlook) always sync without problem. Verification of synchronization with all categories, the value sync log shows all the programs that synchronize, without making any mention of the calendar.  If you synchronize with only the timing checked, no log is created, and the synchronization bar stops for a few seconds to one Moment please... step and then flashes. This isn't a shared calendar.

  Measures already taken, in no particular order:

  Insured email address appropriate defined as CICAL, removed other CICAL service books.

  Reset the Configuration of the synchronization

  Tried different USB ports (although, as indicated, other programs synchro)

  Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs, repaired DM.

  DM backup and restore: BB saved, then deleted all entries in calendar-All

  Confirmed that H - key current user and Local Machine had the proper authorization

  File Intelisync deleted

  Insured that Microsoft Outlook is set as default email in Internet Options

  Resets BB hard and frequent restarts of the computer throughout the process.

  There were probably a few other simple actions taken which I forgot to list.

  Last effort: DM uninstalled and reinstalled so that at the same time hard reset of BB.

  Another thing that is probably not related, but I spend in case:

• BlackBerry Smartphones can not synchronize with Outlook calendar (2007)

  I downloaded the latest version of the Desktop Manager, but now the 9700 synchronize with calendar.  I am going through the installation of the configuration program, and it shows its there but when I sync, it reverts to "calendar not installed."  From what I understand, there seems to be a conflict between "Personal calendar" and "Business calendar" when you map the fields, so that the Setup program does not.

  Is there a work around for this?  After dozens of tests, I wondered if maybe I need to reinstall Outlook?  If you want, I can email the screen shots I took of the process.

  Try this:

  Make sure you have the Notes you want in Outlook.  I recommend to export your Notes file to a PST as a backup in case something goes wrong while you are experimenting.  I always do when I set up a new synchronization.

  Perform a full backup of your BB with Desktop software.

  Desktop Software allows to delete ONLY the Memo database on the BB device.

  Now do a two-way synchronization.  If all goes well, you should be in business.  If things are not going that you can always import the PST to Notes you made in Outlook.

  I thought about it.  I'm a complete * beep *.  Some how the checkbox "Synchronize Organizer data" had become uncontrolled.  After that I checked and re-configuration of sync for yahoo options, it worked like a charm.  Thanks for the info so.

  Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  I don't think then you have found your email to your BB over the air (OTA) via BIS (as most do), then your BB (via BIS) to your server... never talk to your Outlook. Reconciliation between your mail server and your BB is therefore governed by the KB, and none of these items for the BB services push. In addition, I don't know the versions of Outlook that will push items on the mail server (other than the companies Exchange/BES).
