  • Transfer IPOD DB to new MAC

How can I transfer content from my old IPOD to my new laptop Mac?  I tried all the suggestions and make the necessary changes in the settings but I can't access the files on the IPOD Nano.  When I try to sync the IPOD, I'm warned that it will eliminate from my iTunes library.  I just simply want to transfer the files from the IPOD to the Mac.  I can't access the IPOD records, where the music, she is somehow hidden.  Initially I had synced the IPOD on a Windows computer.  This is why I have problems to find the files?  Why Apple would make it so hard?  Thanks for any help!

iTunes synchronization is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library.  You cannot use iTunes to transfer files of song from iPod to computer (with the exception of songs purchased from the iTunes Store).  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few links (including a CNET article on the subject).

Ideally, you should transfer your complete from your old computer to your new Mac iTunes library.  Your iPod is not designed to be your vehicle to backup or transfer of iTunes data.  So, if you have access to your old computer, with its iTunes library intact (or have a backup of your iTunes data), please report for information on the best way to transfer your iTunes data to the new Mac.  You will have then everything, including the support of data such as reading lists, notes, date added, etc.  Your iTunes library on your new Mac will the same iTunes library on your old computer.

  • New computer, would like my music on it

You just bought a new Macbook Pro (2016).  iTunes has been able to sync some of my music through my Apple ID, however I have a ton of songs and playlists which does not on my new computer.

When I try to sync my iTunes on my new computer with my phone on, it says: "are you sure you want to delete songs on your iPhone and sync with the computer"... as in, it will remove the songs very I'm trying to get.

It seems that this day in age, with several Apple devices that would be just the things work.  I thought maybe it was just a matter for songs not purchased through iTunes, but a bunch of songs that I can't pass was actually purchased from iTunes on my phone... What is not supposed.  Does anyone have an idea how to make my iTunes on the computer like my phone (songs and playlists)

  • transfer music to new computer

How to transfer my music from my IPOD to a new computer?

except if they are files you've purchased from apple, it works on the other hand. iTunes to iPod, iPod to iTunes No.

If you have purchased on the apple store, you must identify yourself with iTunes on the PC on behalf of make music accessible and you don't need the iPod to do.

Otherwise if these are your 'own collection' files, you must make the mountable device on your PC, make visible files, extract, bring them into iTunes to decipher the index of naming the iPod uses and then you can have them on your PC.

you will find the instructions on the web, but about their credibility and safety that belongs to you.

I have synced my bookmarks to a new computer, but the little miniature icons identify did not come along. So now, there is just a generic blank next to each box until I click on the bookmark, to whom it point refreshes with the appropriate icon. Is it possible to get them all to update without having to visit each site? Thank you very much.

Try using this addon here. It refreshes the favicon (the small identify the miniature icons) by using your bookmarks.

  • If I had to restore my music library after a computer failure, if I sync my iPod I lose the music?

I had to restore my music library after a computer failure, but not all of my library was reatored. If I sync my iPod what do I lose music? I heard that

You can not sync music between the two if the iPod has iTunes has no music. I don't want to lose my entire library which is at this point on the iPod.

If you "restore" your iTunes library by adding your songs (and other content) to a new iTunes library (instead of restore full of backup iTunes library), your current iTunes library is treated as a different iPod iTunes library.  iPods can use Auto-Sync with one iTunes library at a time.  If you have set up the synchronization with your current iTunes library, the existing content of the iPod (from the old iTunes library) is deleted and replaced with the contents of your current iTunes library.  All the songs from the iPod that are not on your iTunes current library will be lost.

By design, iTunes sync is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library.

Once the song on your disk files, add them to your current iTunes library.  After the confirmation of your iTunes library has all of your songs, you can configure synchronization with the iPod.

  • How is it that I can't sync my i pod on my new computer with windows 10

I have an ipod nano 7th generation I think and that you want to sync with my new computer with windows 10, I uninstalled I tunes and re-installed, I use the apple cables, I have tried all USB ports and so far nothing has worked.

I can't sync my i pod on my new computer with windows 10

Does this mean that the iPod is not appear in iTunes, so you can not synchronize?  Or the iPod appears in iTunes, but it does not sync for some reason any?

  • I have the new Windows 8 and cannot sync my Ipod Nano

I have the new Windows 8 and cannot sync my Ipod Nano is anyone know how to do this?

When I try to sync my ipod nano with my new system of Windows 8, I get a notice of the WDF_violation and the sad face on a blue screen, then my computer needs to be restarted.  I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled, so I have the latest version on my machine.  However, which did not help.  ITunes recognizes my nano and gives me an indication that it's sync... but new music I bought is not on the nano, nor is the updates of my specific playlists.

Clearly, it's a matter of Microsoft/Windows as my nano worked perfectly last week when I was on my old computer (Vista).

If this isn't an issue which is, or has been processed by Microsoft, it should be.  If my nano and my Windows 8 cannot talk to each other which is not acceptable.

  • Will you ever add Sync for Thunderbird, as you have Firefox, so I don't have to re-create all my custom settings when I install on a different/new computer?

I wonder if Thunderbird will never get the Sync option as Firefox has so when I get a new computer I can just install Thunderbird and connect to my Thunderbird sync account and it will automatically install all my modules, sort order preferences and see the theme of appearance, etc.. Which will never happen? I don't care about the settings of e-mail account, just the settings and preferences profile of Thunderbird.

The short answer is no. my e-mail profile is about 20 GB in size. I just don't see Mozilla providing this kind of space for me for free. Can you?

And I don't want by MB from my internet provider fees upl. ADOs and download all that is.

    The reality is this.
Type in the start search box %appdata%\Roaming menu and press enter
Select the Thunderbird folder and copy it to a USB key.
On the new machine you repeat and reverse the copy, but also put a copy in % appdata%\local.

Synchronization is complete, no web presence, no copy of your data in someone elses hands and it's a complete copy, not a bit here and a part of which invariably mess up.

  • After having successfully imported the My Favorites in Firefox Sync from my old computer to new computer, can I purge the old computer and still have the bookmarks on the new

I want to update my computer and made a Windows Easy Transfer to my new. My Firefox Favorites do not show on my new computer so I used Firefox Sync, which worked well. Now that I have the bookmarks on the new computer, I can delete the old computer and keep the bookmarks on the new.

First, unplug your old computer of Firefox Sync, so you do not accidentally delete data synchronization, but yes, you should be good to go.

  • How can I sync my iPhone and Apple Watch to a new computer without losing any data?

I'm about to fix my laptop and I need to change my iTunes on PC. But I don't want to lose any data on the health of the Apple Watch.

Copy of the data of all iTunes from the laptop to PC will have all my apps and music. But what about the backup? They are encrypted to record data on the health of my Apple Watch.

Can I copy and paste the encrypted data backup iTunes?

    Please I need help.

Move an encrypted backup from one computer to another value may not work, but as long as no device should be restored now you should be able to migrate from the library to the new computer and then take a fresh encrypted backup of each device.

Migrate a library iTunes from one computer to another

These are two approaches that work normally to move an existing library to a new computer.

    Method 1

    1. Save the library with this trick of the user.
    2. Remove the old computer if you no longer wish to access content protected on it.
    3. Restore the backup to your new computer by using the same tool used to back it up.
    4. Keep your current backup in the future.

    Method 2

Connect the two computers on the same network. Share your old computer < user music > folder and copy the folder of library full iTunes in the < user music > on the new folder. Yet once, remove the old computer so is no longer necessary.

These two methods should give the new computer, a clone of the library work which was on the former. What about iTunes is it is still the 'home' for your devices library you should not have problems with iTunes will erase and reload.

I recommend method 1 because it establishes a current backup for your library.

Note If you have iOS devices and that you have not reached your contacts and calendar all in all items, then you need to create a dummy entry in your new profile and iTunes expected to merge existing data from the device.

If your media folder has been separated in the main folder of iTunes, you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a library of portable split.

If you are in the unfortunate position where you're able to access your original library or a backup and then see recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device to get tips on how to configure your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.
