  You may be able to make it work. If you have a 64 bit system, as many are today, then you may have more trouble.

  If you need to adjust the activation, it is something that must be done with Adobe directly. Two facilities are generally licensed for every copy of Acrobat you have, so you can have a left.

  Suppose you manage the installation. The first step is to install the updates (especially for a 64-bit system). You may be able to make updates in the Help menu (assuming that Acrobat opens). If you need to install manually, go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows and install updates in the order. To download from the most recent backwards, because each update tells you the previous update required for installation. In general, just restart after the update.

  To test your system, first check the features of Acrobat and Distiller programs by selecting from the menu of programs (or the Metro interface). If you have a PS file available, check the processing of this file by Distiller to check on the creation of PDF files. Then, try to print from an application to the Adobe PDF printer. If it works, fine. If this is not the case, try a print to a file and open the file in Distiller to create a PDF file.   You say that this computer is new, so it will be under warranty.  If it has never been able to start, I take it back to the place I bought it and tell them that they sold you a defective computer.  They must either fix it or replace it free of charge.  Alternatively, you can contact Lenovo to see if they can help.  New computers should not have these problems.  There's probably a way to restore it to factory settings, but methods differ from one to the other, so you can probably find that on the web site of Lenovo.

  The simplest solution is to move all media for this project to a folder in the directory on your hard drive. Once you have done this, open your project. When you are prompted to find the missing media, look for a clip. Once you have done this with a clip, the program will 'see' all other items in the folder a re-edit them automatically.

  I downloaded the new 6.2 hotsync (which is listed as 7.0.2 in the lower left corner of hotsync), I have a new toshiba laptop with vista 64-bit os, laptop has bluetooth and the bluetooth works because I already set up to work with my treo 755 as a modem. In any case, when I'm trying to set up the connection to hotsync option so I can sync my outlook with the treo, connections in hotsync does not list bluetooth as an option.  I read that it will only show if the material has bluetooth.  Again, I have no bluetooth and it works very well with the treo when I put up as a modem for a wireless connection.  Any thoughts why hotsync is absent from the bluetooth connection option?  It is defined as discovereable as well.

  At this point, the only thing left that I could suggest is to buy a bluetooth USB dongle and see if it will work. When you install the dongle, do not use the cd to install the drivers, let Windows install the drivers. It sounds like this is similar to what we were looking for with the Toshiba Bluetooth radio but the dongle uses a different radio and they worked for Bluetooth hotsync on other 64 bit Vista systems.
