Synchronization for Palm OS with a Vista 64 bit computer

Hello, hope I'm doing this right, this is my first post. I am trying to find a way to sync my pre w/64 bit Vista. It was said that 64-bit is not supported (because of the USB synchronization). There is a mention of a Bluetooth connection, so I guess I'm asking if someone has already tried to connect w/a Bluetooth device their computer? I know I'm old fashioned, but at the end of the work week I would just to have everything back in my home computer. If anyone has any advice I would like to hear from you. Thank you Vicki

I now have my windows7 64 bit OS via the cable connection.  I can sync and use PDA Net with my Palm Centro from Verizon.  Happy Days!  I had to upgrade to professional home, but it was worth it!  Yes, we can just whining about Palm do not solve the problem for us, but if you would rather just solve the problem, Microsoft took care of it for us.

  • Palm Tungsten E with XP for Palm TX with Vista 64

Those who have read the title of this post know that the solution is not obvious.

I now have a Palm Tungsten E synchronization on a PC with Windows XP (sp2), I've been so far. I changed to a computer with Windows Vista (64-bit). I bought a Palm TX and a USB Bluetooth adapter to be able to synchronize between my computer and my new Palm TX. This is apparently the only solution that works with a 64 bit Vista computer.

I have the calendar, the touch and the memo of my last sync files with my old computer.

What is the market to follow recommended action to make this transition?

    Please help, I'm desperate!

    Dear WyreNut,

It's been a long road and difficult, but I think I'm finally here.

I followed all your instructions for my transition from my TE in my TX as well regarding the WiFi sync and everything seems to be all right. I even downloaded a few additional applications that I had and they also work well. I will continue tomorrow, but I think that I have now a few on the situation. Your procedure for WiFi sync went exactly as described. (I kept my arthritic disorder all the time I cross my fingers.)

Once more a big thank you, I certainly couldn't have done it without your help.

    Kind regards

  • I have a piece of test equipment that is not compatible with Windows Vista 64 - bit edition. Is it possible to go back to the 32-bit version without having to re - install?

The test equipment is a Site Master S820D used for the test of microwave signals.  It is not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit, but is with Windows Vista 32 - bit.  Want to know if there is a way to get back to Windows Vista 32-bit, without having to buy a new operating system.  The program is called "Site Master Handheld Software Tools".

    Hello

If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64 bit version of Windows Vista, or vice versa, you will need to back up your files, then select custom during installation of Windows Vista. Next, you need to restore your files and reinstall your programs

I am currently studying for the GRE and the website includes a study great tool/application called PowerPrep or something like that. I downloaded it and it says it is compatible with Windows Vista 32-bit, I have a Toshiba Satellite running Vista 64-bit and when I go to start a program I get the error message "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are running check system information from your computer to see if you need a x 86 (32 bit) or x 64 (64-bit) version of the program" is anyway to run the program with my computer. I thought that 64-bit is technically compatible with 32 - bit, but I don't know much about computers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

"Most programs designed for 32-bit version of Windows works on the 64 bit version of Windows. The notable exceptions are many antivirus programs.

Device drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows do not work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows. »

always check the compatibility of vista programs on the link below

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/default.aspx

If a program is compatible with vista you can try right click on the setup.exe, and then selecting run as administrator

It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode

This does not work for all programs

HP pavilion dv6-1030us originally with windows vista 64 bit have now upgraded to windows7 32 bit. MIC is unable to send sound in Skype after upgradation.

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, uninstall Skype and when it is finished, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download and reinstall the Chipset driver here.

Once the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

Let windows load completely, then download the installer of IDT Audio on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp45001-45500/sp45044.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery, connect the power adapter and start Notepad.

Let Windows load fully, then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

Reinstall Skype and see if the MIC now works Ok.

  • Installed Windows 7 64 bit - 4 GB / 3 GB usable, whereas with Windows Vista 64-bit - 4 GB usable

    Hello
    I have the Asus N70SV B1.

    Specifications: (http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Multimedia_Entertainment/N70Sv/#specifications)

No problems with Windows Vista 64 bit, recognizing the 4 GB of RAM. After the upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit 4 GB installed / usable RAM problem / 3 gb. I also checked the following.

    1. I am running windows 7 64 bit, NOT 32 bit, I wouldn't be able to run Adobe After Effects® CS5.5 and Adobe first® Pro CS5.5 elsewise.
    2. the unusable 1 GB of RAM is not used by the operating system, it's hardware reserved
    3. the video card Nvidia GT 130 m 1 GB, shouldn't need that RAM - it certainly didn't on the factory installed Windows he dedicated RAM.
    4. I tried disabling and enabling msconfig - boot - Max memory settings, no option solves the problem.
    5. He has no option of memory in the BIOS settings to disable the cache in memory / memory the occultation.

    * I had to use the 64-bit of Windows Vista sound drivers work correctly with Windows 7 64 bit. So I thought that the version of bios or Vista 64 bit can thus solve the problem usable 4 / 3 gb.

    * Yes, I have flashed the bios to Windows Vista 64-bit and that still does not solve the problem. Although the system seems faster, it still shows only 3 GB usable.

There should not be a problem with this bios version seen only with the 64 bit Vista OS recognized all 4 GB.  I am confused and have no idea where to go from here.

    Please help.

    Hello

I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the computer for help.

  • Problem installing flash player 11.0.1.152 with Windows Vista 64-Bit

    Hello

I can't get Flash Player to install on my computer with Windows Vista 64-Bit - is not serious if I try with Firefox, Opera or IE (usually, I use Firefox).

The download is not a problem, but when I run the .exe downloaded, the file disappears from my download folder and nothing happens - not to mention that the launch of a process called install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih_3.exe, which does nothing. The usual installation popup never appears. After that I can not try to start the installation again, until the deactivation of the process via the Task Manager ("that one instance of this application can run"). No matter if I try the download and installation with or without 'McAffe security more' btw - same result.

I have never had such a problem before - Flash Player 10.3 has been and no problem to install and use.

I tried all the measures proposed in the troubleshooting section on the official website, including measures for advanced troubleshooting (uninstall the old version, run as administrator, disable the software firewall, disable antivirus, etc.). Nothing helps.

I have never had these problems with my laptop running Windows 7 - just my desktop computer with Vista 64-bit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • LaserJet p2015 is not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit

I just got a new computer with Windows Vista 64-bit operating system.  I tried to connect my HP Laserjet P2015 printer, but it was not recognized.  In addition, the computer does not recognize the CD supplied with the printer.  Download the necessary software on this site?  I can't seem to find it on mine, and I am a novice when it comes to computers.  Any help out there?  see you soon

Go to Support & drivers above.  Click on drivers.  Enter the model number of your printer.  A list of drivers should appear.  IF Windows Vista 64 bit is listed, click on that and you should be on your way.  BUT be aware that not all older printers are compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit.  I have a HP Scanjet 4470c which is not compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit on my new HP computer.  So I have a HP Scanner perfectly although I can't use and this Scanner is not that old.  Good luck!

I think that what PA bear is coming in the post previous is that service pack will contain Vietnamese Windows updates necessary for their release.

    A little/sorta...

KB2555917, KB2507938, and al. (which dates from July 12, 2011 & before) would have been the last installed if updates Vista SP2 is not installed yet.

  • How do I synchronize my Palm TX with my Blackberrry Tour 9630

I recently acquired a Blackberry Tour. I was unable to sync my Palm TX to my laptop because I am running Vista 64 bit and the thing whole bluetooth does not work for me.  Can't I just sync my TX to my Blackberry via bluetooth to get my information? If so, how?  Synchronization of use to be so simple. My TX is out of warranty, but since I have a new Vista Dell Studio 15, I think Palm should offer me a free support just to get the synchronization process work.  14.99 $ is unfair to someone who has paid hundreds of $ for a PDA which has always worked with OS XP (thanks for listening).

The TX can easily synchronize with Vista 64 via Wifi.  I wrote a "How-to" file in the stickied message box in the section Windows Hotsync of this Forum!

(It does not have a Wifi network where the computer and TX are both connected).

There is no way directly sync both devices.  You can configure synchronization to Outlook (if you have it on the laptop) and sync as described above, then the tour may be able to sync with Outlook also...

    I just saved you $15...

  • FiOS action tec router Wi - Fi for inspiron 1525 with windows vista

We strive to communicate my Inspiron 1525 with windows Vista to Action Tek router wireless Verizon FIOS and after three days of work by Verizon technicians without success. First they said that my computer has a spyware, virus. I scanned with McAfee and windows, and could not find anything like that. Now they say that there is a patch for windows Vista that it resolves the problem. where is this patch? any body know?

    As to this subject?

If this does not work correctly:

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your router > make sure you have the latest Firmware in Vista for it.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for it last network adapters Vista drivers > download/install the.

    Try without commitment TCP/IPv6:

If you still have internet connection probs, one thing to try is the separation of the TCP/IPv6 (which is done by going to network connection > right click > properties > it uncheck > OK.)
