Maximum memory for Pavilion DV7t special edition running Windows 7 pro 64-bit with Intel i7 Q720

I have an entertainment 2009 Dv7t Special Edition running on Windows 7 64 bit with intention processor i7 Q720 @1 .60GZ. I have 8 G of ram now but need to go to the top. Can I put two 8 G in the slots. Read some reviews say the software works and Windows 7 pro 64-bit can take up to 132 G RAM, if that was even possible. I run two internal drives. But with the addition of the cloud and running photoshop on cloud too much memory is used, slow down the computer. You want to go to 16. Everybody does and no problem?

Thank you

Hello

As mentioned previously, there are SEVERAL dv7t editions and special editions. We have dv7t-3000, 4000-dv7t... and it is very difficult to find the right plug. Please use the following link to find the product/model number:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00033108

Your machine could be the following:

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & dlc = in & lc = in & product = 5292645 &

If so, the #4 on the following manual page it support 16 GB max:

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & dlc = in & lc = in & product = 5292645 &

You can have 2 x 8 GB, no choice. Only a few portable computers that have 4 slots and supports up to 32 GB. No way on this earth at this time, you can find a laptop that supports the 132 Gb of RAM.

Kind regards.

  • Running Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit and all empty and none of them exe icons only opens.

I am running Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit Service Pack 1 installed and when start I had dozens of white on the bottom bar task icons by saying that no files have been associated to the program.  I hit cancel and cancelled all out.  All the .exe icons (shortcuts) are empty, all the program under all PROGRAMS icons are empty, and nothing does not open.  My documents on the desktop will BE open in word or excel, but not from the shortcut.  The regedit.exe will work not or open.

Does anyone have a solution?  It happened yesterday, I restored to 10 October and my computer worked, so I turned it off.  This morning when I turned on he did it again.

Thanks in advance for you help.

Just spent 1 GB of RAM 4 GB, windows XP Pro. When I boot it noted memory had changed. F1 to continue or F2 application for utility. I selected F1 and received a message on the config.sys file is corrupted. Do you have a ctr alt del; Exercised Windows and command ok. Computer closed down and had to go through the whole thing again. Don't want to stop again. Afraid I couldn't get it to the top. Is there a utility that I can run so that 32-bit system can manage its maximum memory off the 4 MB of Ram, I installed?

  • Running Windows 7 Pro 32 bit from an OEM installation. Can I reuse the license key I have to install Windows 7 Pro 64 bit?

We have several computers at work that use 32-bit versions of Windows 7 Professional. We must move to 64-bit in order to use more memory. If I have a Windows 7 Professional 64 bit disc can I install the 64 bit version and reuse install the license key for the 32 bit version. I was told Yes as long it's the oem disc. I don't know what that means exactly. What is an OEM drive and why I he would have if the oem of Windows versions usually installed when the computer is initially being built. Thanks for the help guys!

Yes, you can use the same product key to activate the 64-bit version. You may need to reactivate but by telephone.

It doesn't have to be an OEM drive. As long as it matches the edition you are installing.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

  • Maximum memory for Pavilion g6-1013sa?

    Hi all

I recently bought this Pavilion laptop g6-1013sa

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&ObjectID=c02780920&jumpi...

Very fast and all. I'm lucky to have a disk sata hard 7200 RPM autour so I upgraded which without problem. When the level I noticed that there are two memory banks, but only one of the populated with 4GB and a free module.

I wanted to add another 4 GB module because it is not that expensive but I looked at the link above and it does not say that it suport 8 GB.

Anyone know if I can add another 4 GB module for a total of 8 GB?

    Thank you

    Hello:

Simple card for your PC page is misleading in that it shows it comes standard with 4 GB of memory and goes on to say that it is expandable to 4 GB of memory.

I would interpret who just like you... Max is 4 GB, but I think they meant you can install another chip of 4 GB.

In any case, this is confirmed looking at your service on page 3 manual, where it provides memory configurations.

    8 GB is certainly supported.

  • I need USB Controller drivers for my HP Pavilion g6 2235ca computer laptop running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit?

Thus, it was at least a couple of months that I use my laptop with a single working USB port.

The other two do NOT work. If I go to the computer in the start menu, make a right click on computer, and then click Manage, then I go to the Device Manager, there is a yellow exclamation next to the (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller.

When I try to update, Windows 7 tells me that an update is not found blah blah blah...

This problem has happened since I installed Windows 7 64-bit on 64-bit Windows 8.

So, can anyone help me find the drivers for the USB controller? Or is it some sort of hardware failure or problem?

  • I have a product key for a pre-installed version of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, now I need an ISO standard for installation in a virtual machine

    Hello

I bought a refurbished machine that came with Win 7 Pro pre-installed. I erased the HARD drive. Completely. Nothing more.

I don't want Win 7 installed on the drive, but I need an ISO to install it in a virtual machine for research reasons.

I tried to download the ISO of http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery, but when I gave the product key, I got a response that I should turn to the vendor of the computer and that is preloaded.

When I did and asked an ISO, they told me to download from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery. This seems to be the only source for Windows ISOs left in the world.

So, I run long in circles... infinte loop... :-(

How can I solve this misery?

    Thanks for the replies!

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. ISO file which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options?

See the article for more details: how: what are my options for getting Windows 7 reinstall media?

    Hello

Your laptop's CPU is a 32-bit version that can not work with Win 7 64 bit OS, you must obtain a 32-bit version.

See your CPU spec linked below,

  • WinHTTP.dll error is a repository from backup in windows 7 (running windows 7 PRO 32-bit)

Hello everyone ;) I do a Setup for a program of Government called AIS (indigenous Information Services) and got past some registry problems that occur during the installation of prerequisite software (integrated bugs the company provided a fix), but once the required components are installed I try to install the AIS software and it gets about 10%, then I get this error "failed to install". ', Access denied "winhttp.dll" "I had pretty well bing and Google would be the * outta cela one and basically 99.9999999999999998% of all of the DLLS related research are just phenomena until the junk that will make you more headaches, then the initial question will be. so that being said, I know that in the latest versions of windows like XP, you can go to the: C:\%windir%\system32\DllCache folder and it had backups of the DLL files are at - it a similar version of this folder in windows 7 in all? I know that I can technically extract and save a version of the dvd, but I am that remote and do not have the capacity to put the windows in the drive disk, as they have not. the company maintains offsite. I checked the permissions and I Localuser (name changed for privacy) system administrators and the trustedinstaller have very limited access to the folder and the file owner is Trustedinstaller? is that correct? I changed the owner to my entadmin account and I still didn't have the ability to change the permissions. the only thing I can do is to change the property and it doesn't seem to do anything in what concerns the resolution of my problem. I would like to replace this file. is there a procedure better than just extracting from the dvd and the replacement of the current? I tried the VSS, but no previous versions did exist... kind of weird. Sorry if I am vague in my question, if you need more information or have any ideas feel free to shoot 'em my way. I am pretty brain tired after fighting with it for almost 6 hours ha ha. Got to love my work some days. -Stephen

  • Install windows xp pro 32-bit on pc that is already running Windows XP pro 64 bit. Product key does not work

I have a windows xp pro 64 - bit PC. I would like to install windows xp pro sp3 32-bit. This is a PC that was used in our Engineering Department and now will be sent to a standard user in our society. I went through the installation and when I enter the product key on the COA label a message that is not valid. Do I need a different product key to install the 32-bit version of XP?

A Windows XP 64-bit product key will not work with Windows XP 32-bit installation media.  You would need a genuine Windows XP 32 - bit product key. Carey Frisch

I've been using Aurora for several years with Windows 7 pro 64-bit with the two latest major 28/29 Auroa just missing from my desk after clicking on the icon on the desktop, I tried to uninstall, but the system told me I had still Aroura running uninstall so I had to reboot my PC, I could uninstall I then reinstalled Aurora and a pinned icon appeared in the taskbar, but when I clicked on the icon on the desktop the hourglass turned but no Aroura started on the desktop, so I went through the whole thing again and uninstalled Aurora and installed Firefox V26 and now it has progressed to the last version that has disappeared as exactly the same way.

What can I do if I use Aroura again because it is very good and safe to use?
