synchronization of sent items very slow
Running TB 31.2.0 OSX 10.9.5 against an imap outlook.com account.
The Inbox and folders have all synchronized correctly, however, my sent items folder, that contains e-mails 2411 refuses to sync. It is tempting, but very, very slowly, about 1 email per 2/3 minutes. I tried to let it sync in a few days, but it seems to restore and start over. I tried to delete the index from the database - same problem. Curiously, the sent folder contains lots and lots of emails. The last email date 23/10/2014 and I think before that date are in the folder sent successfully.
Any ideas please?
You have a lot of emails in the "sent" folder.
As you use IMAP these emails are stored on the server and it takes a lot of time just to synchronize their.
As it's awkward - impossible to try to synchronize this folder, suggest you try it.
A browser webmail account login.
Create folders for example: sent 2013, 2014 sent to help organize and reduce the size of the file. They will be your archive of e-mails sent.
Then move the emails as appropriate in these cases.
You can then subscribe to view these folders in Thunderbird if you need to see these emails.

Messages do not automatically moved from the Outbox to the sent items
Hello. Everything worked fine until 08:00 this morning.
Now, when I send an email, it is sent but is not automatically moved from Outbox sent items. So, I get an error message (but no error code. He says only: "some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks"). Because the message remains in the Outbox if there is another message to send that it will send the first once again, and then the second, then the first again, then the second again, etc. The only way I can work around it must manually move each e-mail sent from the Outbox to sent items. The messages are efinitely goes recipients because they are responding to their
I am running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3 and Outlook Express
Any thoughts would be very welcome
Best regards
You have apparent dbx file corruption.Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View. With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them. New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.General precautions for Outlook Express:Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:

MacBook Pro mid-2012 very slow
Hello
My MacBook Pro is very slow (it has gotten worse recently). Applications to take ages to load, Firefox is hogging resources and very slow, get the focus of the mouse has a huge lag and I was spinning.
Currently I have 4 GB of RAM and is considering the upgrade to 16 GB. You run an EtreCheck report (below). Is there anything else I need to do? Why he began to be so slow after years of reasonable speed? Is there something I can adjust in Firefox?
Opening documents and get stuff done becomes frustrating!
Thank you for your support.

Internet MacBook becomes very slow
THE PROBLEM
A week ago from the internet on my Macbook has become very slow. Web sites load then, but it may take up to five minutes on some occasions, or even longer. This happens systematically 10 seconds to 5 minutes after the connection to the web. At first everything is super fast, then all pages/apps using the internet starts to turn.
ATTEMPTED SOLUTIONS
- Replaced the modem & router: I bought a new modem-router combo to replace my original separate modem and router, no change in question.
- Tried a third modem/router: a friend gave me his modem router to try and the same issue. (In both cases I had my ISP to update the MAC address)
- Tried other devices: I tried the connectivity to other devices (iphone & ipad) and found no problem. Speedtest app appears 32mbps to the low and 5 Mbps + constantly.
- Tried another browser: was using firefox, I tried Chrome - same question. In addition, any application on my computer using the web runs slowly, no browsers only.
- Tried to connect to the Internet through direct ethernet modem: no improvement
- Tried to restart the computer and the modem/router: it is 7 + times for two days with no change
- Tried to connect to the web via a mobile hotspot on my phone: problem persists.
- Updated my computer and all applications: no change
- I started in safeboot and the problem disappeared

Thank you
Hello Indianajoe7,
Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that the internet is slow on your MacBook Pro. I know how important internet speed can be for many applications and General everyday use. I'm happy to help you.
You did a great job trying to fix this yourself! Given that the problem didn't occur in safemode, our next step is to check your login items. Please follow the instructions below:
Important: To print these instructions, click the Share button in the Help window, and then choose print.
Test your login items
Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click users and groups.
Click on your account under the current user name, and then click connection points.
Make a list of the login items, you will need to remember later.
Select all the elements of connection, and then click the button Delete .
Choose the Apple menu > restart.
If this solves the problem, reopen the preferences users and groups, add the elements of connection one at a time and restart your Mac after the addition of each of them.
If the problem persists, follow the steps above to remove only the last element of connection that you added.
OS X El Capitan: If you think you have incompatible connections
Have a wonderful day!

Envoy in contact form does not end in sent items
First of all, a nice feature is what preceded this form (trying to answer my question and undo/resolve the workload of duplicate messages), where I'm typing now.
I see two to be descriptive. Good point... but fortunately, I can be concise, and I'll get right to the point.
My dad said that a form of contact presented in the browser does not (not) found in the sent items of the email client. Which is probably a good thing.
It would be a good deal to represent? It is useless, but for a system administrator to do it manually. So he would probably need a script...
- )
PS: search powerhungry Google for 'thunderbird sent form elements' (should have that in the representation of Thunderbird...); It might be good to separate the content from that of other pieces on the Web page... perhaps that Google reads. A good deal for the hubs! Or webrings as we were doing it at the time to call them. All voluntarily.
You are trying to read through all the unwanted extra in your post, I think your question is why items sent with the web mail interface do not appear in the folder sent to Thunderbird or any other e-mail client.
Best estimate is that you use POP email and that's how it works. POP email only interfaces with the Inbox.
If you want all folders to synchronize you should use IMAP E-mail.
Google that. -
My macbook pro mid-2012 is very slow. Do I need a new battery?
Hello world
Support on this community has helped me tremendously before so I thought I'd post again about a new problem.
I upgraded my Mac with an SSD, which works very well, with more RAM; However, recently, it has been very slow and train, and I don't know why. RAM is not being crazy, so it must be something else.

Hello. Try restarting your Mac.
Try to start:
-Stop your Mac
-Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the power button
-Just after you hear the startup tone, press in and hold the SHIFT key
-Release the SHIFT key when you see a gray Apple sign and the progress under this sign bar
-Once your Mac boot, restart dhcpd as you usually do.
If this does not help, follow the instructions below:
-Stop your Mac
-Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the power button
-Just after you hear the startup tone, press in and hold the SHIFT key
-Release the SHIFT key when you see a gray Apple sign and the progress under this sign bar
-Once you see office, start a scan Disk Utility to detect and repair file system errors (remember to choose your primary hard drive)
-Click on the disc to check, then, if requested to solve the problems on the repair disk
-After that click on verify disk permissions, and then click Repair disk permissions
-Once the process is complete, stop your Mac and turn it on again after 30 seconds
Apart from this, take a look at this article from Apple and follow the instructions to reset NVRAM shown here:How to reset the NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
Try resetting the system management controller: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
I also suggest upgrading your RAM.
I hope this helps!

2011 27 "iMac running very slow - please help
Hello, I know it's an old computer, but it makes no sense as to why it is slow. When I got it, it was fast as lightning, now he struggles to keep Chrome and Photoshop open at the same time. I have reset the PRAM and SMC a couple of times, no results. The fans do not run particularly fast, and it's never really too hot. It's very slow start as well, and most of the time that I hesitate to open anything at startup for 5-10 minutes for fear of this gel horribly.
OS X Yosemite
10.10.5 version
iMac (27 inch, mid 2011)
Processor Intel Core i5 at 2.7 GHz
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 memory
AMD Radeon HD 6770 M 512 MB graphics card
I'm free to Go 602,21 Go 999,35. Is not as if he reaches its peak to storage, and it's not as if it was a bad computer. Checked for anti-virus, so nothing has jumped to the top. Love insight as to why this iMac has become a potato.
Thank you
scripttion
Please download and run a report of EtreCheck and then copy and paste the results into your answer.
That should reveal the reason why your Mac is slowing down.
Otherwise, it's just a guessing game.
Personal data is shared in the report
One thing you can try since it is slow to start. Open System Preferences > users and groups > login items. Delete a connection point at the time, and then restart your Mac to test.

Very slow Macbook Pro 13 inch Mid 2012
Hello world! I'm not savvy at all, so my apologies if something is not clear in my message below.
Data sheet:
MacBook Pro 13 inch (mid-2012)
OS X Yosemite: Version 10.10.5
Processor: Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz
Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Storage: 139.3/499.25 GB in use; 359,95 GB free
For the last two weeks, my Macbook Pro 13 inch (mid-2012) has been extremely slow. The colorful beachball (aka the wheel of death) often shows up, even when I'm just trying to type something, such as now (I'll have to type really slowly, so it can track). This slowness came very suddenly.
I tried resetting SMC/NVRAM, repair disk permissions, then by restarting in safe mode, but the problem persists (I also tried to upgrade to El Capitan, but was met with a loop of reboot delicious and recovered my time machine backup again to the recovery mode). I think I can also try to reindex spotlight, but I may or may not succeed.
I was not able to create a Time Machine backup successfully for the last month, because it gets stuck on "preparing for backup...". "(not sure if this could be related). I also wanted to point out that Dropbox is one of my startup items, but I got it for centuries, and it has never been my Macbook it ridiculously slow. Before this slowness, I would leave it and my Macbook would be back up to speed. I also tried to remove the list of startup items and slowness persists even after rebooting.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is particularly bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Run the Console application in one of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).
☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages
in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select
List of newspapers seen ▹ display
in the menu at the top of the screen bar.
Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Highlight date back to the time you noted above.
Select the messages entered since then until the end of the episode, or until they begin to repeat, whichever comes first.
Copy messages to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.
The journal contains a large amount of information, almost all this is useless to solve any particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.
Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
When you post the journal excerpt, an error message may appear on the web page: "you include content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." Suddenly very slow - being report attached - it's just the ram?
Hi all
my macbook suddenly turns very slowly, he has been allowed recently after some graphics clamping because it is so old!
things are critical.
If it's just the ram, (I doubt it, but maybe wrong!) can someone help me with my maximum?
I think that his officially 4 (2 x 2), but remember reading that a 4 + 2 can work?
Thank you
Paul

Safari crashes constantly and is very slow
Hello
I have a problem with safari, it blocks constantly when I try to open the pages such as apple.com.
Google.com works, but is very slow.
I already deleted the internet plugins folder in both libraries.
On another user, everything works fine.
